Biggest Loser "No Excuses" 2012 Team Challenge for Losers and Maintainers!!!

I finally got to weighing in this morning and was down 1.8 since last week. :cool1: I know its just water weight but hope to stop the retaining.

I'm working on some posture exercise to see if it will help with my dizziness and stuff. As I can usually lay down and feel better. It just gets very old and I want my life back. Now I can't plan anything without anxiety over getting dizzy. I've managed to keep away from full blown panic attacks and can calm down using techniques but just want the dizziness to go away. I've realized my posture, especially during sitting, has gotten quite bad and know that it can cause breathing habits that can lead to those things too. Lately I've been getting dizzy in a sitting position. When I change or walk around it stops. So gonna work on some neck/posture exercises and see if I can work these things out. :confused: At least while I wait and see what rheumatologist finds out or doesn't find out(rules out or whatnot). Ready to feel normal again. I want to be working full time and work towards goals I feel are too far out of reach at times. I know they aren't it just seems that way sometimes. :scared:

I'm heading to bed now trying to get back to a normal sleep schedule. I wasn't tired the past few nights when I went in to bed I just got wide awake for some reason. Took a melatonin and feeling sleepy so gonna work at getting on normal sleep pattern again. No more napping all morning into the afternoon.

QOTD for Thursday, 3/29: Now that spring has started, we can think about summer. What is it about summer that you love the most? You are welcome to have more than one thing.

Swimming in our pool
Watermelon
Our garden fresh veggies

Hi everyone-I've finally got all caught up this morning (cant believe how busy things got both on here and at home). Hope all those feeling unwell are starting to feel better:) Can you believe its thursday already-really hoping for a loss at the scales tomorrow so fingers crossed for us all;)

QOTD
Love the feeling of the sun on my back as I go for a walk
Kids being off school
Picnics
Family time together when my husband is off work

Christopher-you head off on your holiday tomorrow dont you/
Just wanted to say have fun and take loads of pics you so can make us even more jealous than we already are:lmao:

Good Thursday morning.

I went to a workshop yesterday. It was a great workshop but we never stopped from 9 to 1:30. We had a 10 minute break in the morning and a 10 minute break in the afternoon (we voted that we wanted to skip lunch so that we could out earlier). Most people bring their own lunch since it is not on the regular campus and you have to leave to get food. At one point in the afternoon she said I think I should give you all a break since I can tell I am losing you. Other than working straight through it was a good day.

QOTD for Thursday, 3/29: Now that spring has started, we can think about summer. What is it about summer that you love the most? You are welcome to have more than one thing.

I love the slow pace of the summer for me. I like being able to read my paper on my patio in the morning. Taking my laptop out in the yard and sitting under the tree in the backyard.

Christopher Have a great trip My spring break doesn't start until next week.

Have a happy and healthy day.

CC finally got a chance to look at the recipes you found-they're brilliant-definitely going to give some of them a try:thumbsup2 Thanks for all the effort you put into this:)

Morning all,

No motivation to exercise this morning. I was asleep by 10 last night. I woke up at 4:20 and then went back to sleep and then just said forget it! I'll work out tonight. I got up and came out to the couch and tried to fall back asleep.

QOTD: I like only going in to work when I have clients. I only live 5 minutes from work so I can easily run in at the last minute. I also love getting up and going for a walk most mornings with my neighbor. I love watching the kids play in the sprinkler.

Working until 2 today and then I'll pick up the kids and come home. I'll try and do one workout this afternoon and then another tonight. I have to keep doing the ab workouts as I'm so seeing a difference in my obliques already! I was able to do the while thing including the plank at the end last night.

Time to make lunches and make myself some tea. That always gets me going!

I love the "free" feeling of summer. We don't have to rush in the evenings to get ready for school the next day, so everyone can be outside playing or cooking out or even having mini-bonfires! I also love picnics with my family, and we do those all the time in the warmer weather. This summer I am particularily looking forward to relocating up to Michigan. :banana:

Whoo hoo!! Congratulations Trina and everyone else, including me!!:cool1: Just what I need today. I have veered out of the wagon, just one of those busy weeks, boss bought lunch one day, cake the next and I was not strong. Mcdonalds night fundraiser for school, and yada yada yada. Last night I did get my buttocks back in the wagon, made a big salad for dinner and lunch today, hard boiled some eggs to have a high protein bkfast, and am feeling a little more in control. And the scale is only up .8 so I still stand a chance of a maintain at least this week.:thumbsup2

I love how you always get right back on the wagon! :worship:
Thank you CC. You are so sweet. I don't know how many times in a year I get back in the wagon, but it does fall with my motto, of NEVER GIVE UP!!

So here I am again, freshly back in the wagon, and ready to stay there. Again! I know I sound like a broken record, but it is what it is, and some times other things in life get the best of me, and I lose control and focus.

I'm sorry I haven't been on much, and I need to go back and catch up with everyone. It's great to see such an active thread!!

Pamela_ saw your post about New Bedford, not close to us. It must have been quite a hike for you. I went there years ago when friend was there from the air force. I do remember the movie The Accused with Jodi foster was based on a true story that took place in a bar in New Bedford. Hope dd did well!!

Hello to everyone else!! Hope you are all firmly planted in the wagon, eating those vegies, drinking that water, moving those bodies!! We can do it!!:cheer2:

Lucky girl on the 10 min drive. But DD has a good chauffeur and she napped on the long ride! Seriously, DD had set something up with a cousin who worked at a nature sanctuary a bit closer to home (90 min) ,but he dropped the ball on her and it fell through. Oh well........P

How was the job shadowing? I know that you had a long drive but it sounds like a pretty neat day! I know that I cherish those times when I get to drive DD somewhere and just chat and enjoy. It's pretty rare anymore since she started driving.

My DD had the best day!:good vibes She loved the professor, enjoyed campus and even really liked the two classes she sat in on (architectural and constructional engineering). She's really thinking of heading that direction in her college choices now. Quite a bit different from music ed.... It will be interesting to see what path she takes in life. It is so fun to see the world laid out at their feet.....

Anyway, I hope that you enjoyed your free day and car time!

QOTD for Thursday, 3/29: Now that spring has started, we can think about summer. What is it about summer that you love the most? You are welcome to have more than one thing.

#1 having kids home!!!!!
- Lake weekends with family and friends. Fishing, tubing, wake boarding, camping.
- BBQ
- Traveling a little
- gardening
- yard work (yup I really do love yard work!:good vibes)
- lazy days by the pool and busy nights with summer league sports!

Morning Everyone!!

I am wide awake, but not feeling well. I feel really dehydrated. I'm not sure why this keeps happening. I will be drinking lots of water today and if I wake up feeling this way again tomorrow, I will call my gastro. His medical assistant will probably tell me to call my PCP, but I will have to get my point across to her. My doctor understands, she doesn't. :headache:

I have a few things on my schedule today. I will be back later with some replies.

Hope everyone has a great, OP day! Tomorrow is weigh-in. :goodvibes

Good morning everyone. The pollen here in atlanta has finally caught up to my allergies and I sit here with a box of kleenex and some eye drops.

I love the spring, otherwise and am not a real SUMMER person.
But I do love cooking outdoors and getting to swim in the pool!!

I couldn't fall asleep last night when I realized I hadn't posted today's QOTD. I obviously should have counted sheep. :rotfl2:

QOTD for Wednesday, 3/28: Stitch is at your doorstep with a note from his doctor.

Dear Unsuspecting Neighbor,

Stitch came in for his physical a few days ago and he is overweight. Lilo has been feeding him too many snacks and big dinners. I convinced her to feed him a practical breakfast, but I need your help with lunch and dinner. Please hang out with him long enough to feed him lunch and dinner and have them total approximately 1000 calories. A mid-day snack is encouraged as well. Breakfast is oatmeal made with 1/2 cup of milk and topped with a serving of berries plus a serving of vegetables. Stitch's favorite vegetable is is the onion. ;)

Thank you for your help.

Dr. Trainer

What will you feed him?

Okay, I am not going to post mesurements or specifics, but lunch would be a grilled chicken salad and dinner would be sirloin tips with grilled mushrooms and onions, steamed broccoli, and a half of a baked sweet potato.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Just got a phone call that my lunch meeting has been moved to Red Lobster :) I am going to check out the menu right now so I make a good choice.
It's a little slow here this week (although I am guilty of not getting on yesterday). I hope everyone is still eating healthy, working out, and staying positive!
I'll be back to read and post if I have time.
Good morning everyone! Tomorrow is weigh-in! Make good choices today! :goodvibes
Summer QOTD: I just love summer. Sandals, sundresses, heat, bring it on! I'm a summer baby (August 1st!), so I think I'm wired for the season. I have been loving the stretch of unseasonably warm weather we've been having here - a summer preview!
I ran another C25K workout yesterday - the first one with more jogging than walking! It was difficult, but I was so proud of myself at the end. :) Yesterday and today, I also did 30-day shred, and I'll do another C25K tomorrow before we leave to bring DDs to my MIL's for spring break. We're staying down for the weekend, so I'm hoping to do a C25K there, but I might also just take Saturday off.
It's been such a weird week. I'm feeling really good about my health and fitness journey (and people are really noticing!), and I've reconnected with a couple of old friends. But then the loss of our friend Jack has hit hard, and I feel like I've been on an emotional roller coaster. I'm proud to say that I haven't fallen back on food as a comfort cushion, with the exception of a cheeseburger and fries lunch at the place we always went to with Jack when he visited us here. But even that worked into my WW plan for the day, and it sure did make me feel better.
I'm looking forward to a couple of days away to clear my head - I think DH and I will get out Saturday night to see Hunger Games at last!
XO
Liz
I can't believe I'm the biggest loser this week! That's crazy! I guess all that southern food did me good...which doesn't make sense at all!
I also go a bunch of grades back yesterday that were very good, so I'm feeling pretty good about all that!
I slept in this morning and I need to make breakfast, (I really want a rasberry pancake) but I also need to finish this homework assignment before noon..ugh! Then after class I have history club, then work till 9:30, then a midterm on wed, and a midterm on thurs. I also have an interview on wed for the big brother big sister program in our area. Plus just a ton of homework.
So i might not be around that much this week, but I just wanted to share one picture from my tennessee trip..i have more to share eventually! I just love how i look in this one!
IMG_0376.jpg
Congrats on being the Biggest Loser this week and also the great grades! I hope the interview went well. The Big Brother/Big Sister program is awesome!
QOTD: My first thought was a place in Florida and the means/time to go there! Then I read Pamela's answer and realized that's what I should wish for, too: kids' college paid for!
Well, I ran yesterday and my bandage fell off. I have a lovely blister and blood-stained shoes! Couldn't get it all off, but guess no one will ever see it since my foot will be hiding it! oh well
This morning instead of my usual stretching/spine alignment class we had a tap dance instructor come in. That was kinda fun. Not that any of us are ready to soft shoe the night away!
Congratulations to all our biggest losers! Great job everybody.
LTS-good for the sub job, but :hug: to the secretary and her family. I've done that many times, taken a longer term assignment and then thought, "What have I done?!" You and your family will do just fine; you've gotten some great advice already.
Well, DS2 said he would go over the mountains with me to visit inlaws and babies. I'll need to check the pass conditions then call inlaws and get it arranged. We'd leave Wed. and come home Thurs. DS1 gets back Thursday night/Fri morning. They played 2 games yesterday and are 1-1. My parents watched the first one. It was cute to talk to them about it. "He played so good....Well, no he didn't get on base...he had a marvelous scoop, even the other team parents commented on it...we were sitting in 'enemy territory' so couldn't cheer too loud...it was just so much fun to watch him...he gave us a big hug afterward then somebody passed out Subway sandwiches and the boys ran to the vans and they were off to the next game before we even got to our vehicle."
DS2's girlfriend is coming over this afternoon. It's just after 8 AM here so I think I will make banana cookies out of a couple old bananas, read the paper and make a grocery list. Hopefully the rain will stop at some point today and I will get the dog out on a walk.
Have a super Tuesday!
Congrats on the running, the impromptu tap class (how fun!), and DS's games!
Hi Everyone!
I apologize for not getting on here sooner. It has been one crazy day for me. It started with waking up with the alarm, which I set so I'm not too lazy, and being productive for about an hour. Then, I knew I needed a nap and feel asleep for over 90 minutes! :scared1: I just slept for 9 hours! :scared1: Well, the problem was I had 90+ minutes straight of nightmares. :headache: I am still waiting for a call back from my doctor, but it took until after 2 PM for me to stop feeling disoriented and naseous. It was awful. :headache:
I will be back later for replies. I apologize if I do not make it back on tonight.
CC
Sorry about the nightmares :( I wish you restful sleep and peaceful Disney dreams!
Did a good job today with food and drink. I went over on my calories but with the exercise I have done today I have erased that! I'm still drinking my water.
I was able to do the 20 minute elliptical workout tonight pain free so I'm not sure what was going on yesterday morning. I also gave a massage today and did my ab and part of the arm workout. I can't do side planks very well so I skipped that.
My plan in the morning is to get up and do 40 minutes on the elliptical. I hope to get back from shopping by noon or 1 and then I will do another workout. I don't have to pick up Izzie until 3 and Ash until 5 so I will have the extra time. I will probably eat lunch out tomorrow. May be going shopping with a friend or by myself. I'll be happy either way. Visiting Trader Joe's, Costco, Target, and Staples. I may run to the Disney Store at the mall and if I'm one of the first 250 there I will get a free pair of Mickey ears so the mall and Target may be my first stop.
TTFN :tigger:
Major congrats!! You are rockin' right now! Keep it up! :cool1:
oh my goodness i have fallen very behind in our chatter here! i'm still having troubles with headaches and the reading worsens it so forgive me....i think of you all everyday!!
i have worked up to walking about 15-20 mins a day, slow and easy pace but getting out there. not sure if i told you all but we have a new puppy coming home at Easter so she'll keep me out there walking for sure! she's staying with my oldest daughter in the meantime, she'll just be 4 months old when she comes, what was i thinking? my DD brought her over yesterday and it was the puppy-watch during the day that i'm not looking forward too i must admit...but she is sooooo darn cute ;) she's a terrier mix and has quite a personality which i love
anyhow -- i need to get serious again about journaling. we are fortunate to have meals coming three nights a week so it makes it harder for planning out but i need to get more focused on those days about eating veggies/fruits mostly during the day and 'saving' up for the dinners coming. i was very specific with the planner that there are only 3 of us and we aren't big eaters so thankfully the portions coming are usually spot-on
on the downside.....i spoke with my endocrinologist monday night and he feels my surgery was not successful in curing or putting my Cushings into remission :sad2::sad2::sad2: his recommendation is to continue weaning off the steroids and then retest (labs) again (omg) and he believe it will support a recommendation of a bilateral adrenalectomy...boooo!! this is the last resort as it will leave my dependent on low-dose steroids for life :sad2::sad2: but a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do to get HEALTHY again!
Congrats on the walking and the new puppy! I'm so sorry your surgery didn't go as well as you had planned. Keep you chin up! Things WILL get better! So glad you are posting again now! We all missed you!
Ack! I'm always getting behind. School started back this week and I have been quite busy and just plain exhausted.
QOTD Yesterday?: Oh, a birthday gift. Well, a trip to WDW would be nice!!
QOTD: Hm. Well, I think for lunch it would be a Morningstar Vegetarian Turky Burger, on a 100 calorie bagel with a bit of honey mustard, 1 slice of american soy cheese, 3 pickles, 2 tomatoes, and some lettuce. Along with that 2 cups of frozen mixed vegetables. That is about 370 calories.
Then for dinner 1/3 cup Near East Quinoa, with a Morningstar Spicy Black Bean Burger or Tofu (his choice! :rotfl2:) with another 2 cups of frozen mixed vegetables on the side. This is about 500 calories.
So, 130 left for a snack. I'd go with a medium sized apple with 1 tbsp of peanut butter for dipping. That's about 140 calories!
----
Been doing alright with exercise. Not going as hard this week, I feel really tired for some reason. That being said I have been doing well with my eating so I'm hoping that will help me out a bit this week. 5K is this weekend, tomorrow is the last day to sign up. I'm still on the fence about it but I will probably sign up.
Have a wonderful evening! :goodvibes
I love your meals! May I come over with Stitch? lol. Are you a vegeterian? I am. Good luck on the 5K! Go get 'em!! I hope you signed up!
Some replies and then a QOTD of that is much less of a thread killer...
Dona: Glad you had a great time swimming yesterday! :cool1:
Lunch: A low-carb tortilla with some homemade tomatoes-only (plus spices) sauce, topped with a serving of lowfat mozz cheese, a few slices of onion and 1/2 serving of slice pineapples plus plenty of water (approx 300 calories)
Snack: 1 serving of asparagus with 1 tbsp fat free sour cream and onion dip and a celery stalk filled with 1 tbsp almond or cashew butter as well as another glass or 2 of water (approx 200 calories)
Dinner: Seared pork diced up and faux-fried (like Hungry Girl) with 1/2 serving of steamed brown rice and some diced onions and peppers with ample water(approx 400 calories)
Dessert: 1 serving of 50 calorie French Onion soup from Progresso and 1 clementine and some water to wash down the extra salt (approximately 100 calories)
These are some amazing meals! :thumbsup2 I'm with Buffy! :cool1:
I thought about PMing you and driving up to hang out until I looked on a map. :scared1: For some reason, I thought you were near Worcester. Did you get to the museum?
Hi Molli! Sorry to hear your news about your surgery. :hug: Glad that you are exercising and enjoy your new puppy! :cool1:
Great meals CC! I absolutely love that you posted the Hungry Girl site! I had not seen that before. I love that she does the WW points! Thank you!:thumbsup2
QOTD for Thursday, 3/29: Now that spring has started, we can think about summer. What is it about summer that you love the most? You are welcome to have more than one thing.
Swimming in our pool
Watermelon
Our garden fresh veggies
Warm weather (which we absolutely love and crave here in northern Minnesota), being able to have some porch time, just relaxing and enjoying nature, running outside, and the kids not being in school. This allows us to start our mornings off at a less frenetic pace and just enjoy each other. I love being able to not worry so much about bedtime too. And not worrying about taking them out of school for Disney trips, which we do frequently when school is in, because we feel they learn as much as they learn at school every time we go. This year we have an annual pass to WDW (first time) and we have been going every 3 to 4 months.
:furious: I can NOT believe it. I have been a SAHM for the last 16+ years. I finally get a great job opportunity (even if it is temporary ) and what happens? I GET A FLIPPING JURY SUMMONS! :headache::mad: I am sure it won't be a big problem but still, I won't get paid and certainly would much rather be working then at the courthouse. And, while the "Jury Service Handbook" says to bring something to do like needlework they don't allow sewing or knitting needles in the courthouse. :rolleyes:
I am not even sure how I would be able to serve on a jury. I truly need a bathroom break about once an hour (sometimes more frequently!) and my hip stiffens up if I sit any longer than that anyway (sometimes more frequently!). I am guessing they don't take breaks every hour.
I am so ticked off and frankly worried. I am a good demographic to be picked and I really don't want to be trying to "hold it" and/or in pain the whole time. And if that happens I probably won't be paying much attention to what is going on.
Will try to pop back on later. Fairly good eating day so far, but been hungry all day for some reason. Need to enter it all into the WW tracker and see what is left for dinner.
Wow! You do have the luck! I think Jury Duty is pretty easy to get out of, here anyway. I have been on it before. I only had to report like 3 times, and only heard one case. It was easy. I think if you request to get out of it you stand a good chance of being excused. Good luck! :thumbsup2
Awesome! This is GREAT!
I just have to vent, I hope you guys don't mind! I found out today that one of the requirements to get into the school of education in my program at school is a 3.0 GPA in all social sciences courses. Well lets just say I DO NOT meet that requirement. I'm REALLY hoping that since the actual wording of the requirement states: "student must maintain an overall GPA of 3.0 in ALL social sciences courses" that it means that its a cumulative gpa and not that they look into every class individually but if so...i'm screwed. I'm going in early to talk to the head of the program tomorrow but tonight i'm just freaking out. I need some disney magic because i'm making myself sick with worry!
I know I shouldn't worry until I talk to the department head, but try telling my brain that! My boyfriend is 99% positive that its cumulative, and i talked to another girl in the program and she thinks its cumulative as well but...i did not realize i had done poorly on these classes and that they were still on my transcript! I thought I had dropped them!
Ugh, I have a midterm tomorrow too that I need to study for but I feel way to stressed to concentrate on anything. If I don't get into the education program I really don't know what I'm doing with my life.
I hope it all works out for you! Sending some Pixie Dust your way! Good luck on that midterm!
I finally got to weighing in this morning and was down 1.8 since last week. :cool1: I know its just water weight but hope to stop the retaining.
I'm working on some posture exercise to see if it will help with my dizziness and stuff. As I can usually lay down and feel better. It just gets very old and I want my life back. Now I can't plan anything without anxiety over getting dizzy. I've managed to keep away from full blown panic attacks and can calm down using techniques but just want the dizziness to go away. I've realized my posture, especially during sitting, has gotten quite bad and know that it can cause breathing habits that can lead to those things too. Lately I've been getting dizzy in a sitting position. When I change or walk around it stops. So gonna work on some neck/posture exercises and see if I can work these things out. :confused: At least while I wait and see what rheumatologist finds out or doesn't find out(rules out or whatnot). Ready to feel normal again. I want to be working full time and work towards goals I feel are too far out of reach at times. I know they aren't it just seems that way sometimes. :scared:
I'm heading to bed now trying to get back to a normal sleep schedule. I wasn't tired the past few nights when I went in to bed I just got wide awake for some reason. Took a melatonin and feeling sleepy so gonna work at getting on normal sleep pattern again. No more napping all morning into the afternoon.
Congrats on the weight loss! 1.8 is GREAT! I hope the dizziness goes away! Good luck to you and let us know how you are!
Morning all,
No motivation to exercise this morning. I was asleep by 10 last night. I woke up at 4:20 and then went back to sleep and then just said forget it! I'll work out tonight. I got up and came out to the couch and tried to fall back asleep.
QOTD: I like only going in to work when I have clients. I only live 5 minutes from work so I can easily run in at the last minute. I also love getting up and going for a walk most mornings with my neighbor. I love watching the kids play in the sprinkler.
Working until 2 today and then I'll pick up the kids and come home. I'll try and do one workout this afternoon and then another tonight. I have to keep doing the ab workouts as I'm so seeing a difference in my obliques already! I was able to do the while thing including the plank at the end last night.
Time to make lunches and make myself some tea. That always gets me going!
TTFN :tigger:
I hope the workouts made it into the schedule! I'm having a very similar kind of day. I hope to get 3 miles in on the treadmill, but honestly I don't know when that might happen. So busy! How convenient to live 5 mins from work. Good for you! Yes- kids playing in the sprinkler--one of summer's finest moments!
I love the "free" feeling of summer. We don't have to rush in the evenings to get ready for school the next day, so everyone can be outside playing or cooking out or even having mini-bonfires! I also love picnics with my family, and we do those all the time in the warmer weather. This summer I am particularily looking forward to relocating up to Michigan. :banana:
We love having fires outside in the summer! And other seasons too. Good luck on that relocation!
Hello everyone! Things have been going pretty ok here. Exercise-wise its great- having a workout schedule that I hold myself accountable to is the key, for me. I know people will notice if I'm not there. Eating-wise, its a little harder. I'll be OP until after dinner, then sit down and have extra snacks as I'm unwinding or watching TV. Its so much harder for me to eat OP than exercise OP. I'm on WW, and don't end up going over my weekly points in any given week, but I think that for great weight loss I will have to stay strictly on my regular daily points (28 per day) and see how that goes.
Had a most excellent Tuesday but a craptastic Wed and Thurs. My kids made me mad so I turned into the wicked witch of the west and all I want to do is eat, cry and sleep. God why do they have to be such PITAs???? Why do I let them get to me??? I really wanted to hit the treadmill last night too and I knew that it probably would have made me feel better but I still didn't do it. I vegged in my bed and they still pestered me. That's probably why I didn't work out, because I knew I would be interrupted and that would have made me more mad.
I'm also mad because I woke up still in a pissy mood, which is unusual for me. Probably because in my dream the stupid girl at Starbucks couldn't get my drink right and I was yelling that I wanted Sean back (my barista that we've had for 6 years and 2 stores, went to work for Pinkberry). It was so weird!!
Anyway, had to get that off my chest. Was down a pound and closer than ever to the 180's but now I'm back up a pound which I know is from stressing. Need to shake it off and get back on track. Bleh, I hate crappy days.
OK pity, party of one, here's your check. Thanks for letting me vent.
QOTD Yesterday?: Oh, a birthday gift. Well, a trip to WDW would be nice!!
One of my faves as well! :thumbsup2
QOTD: Hm. Well, I think for lunch it would be a Morningstar Vegetarian Turky Burger, on a 100 calorie bagel with a bit of honey mustard, 1 slice of american soy cheese, 3 pickles, 2 tomatoes, and some lettuce. Along with that 2 cups of frozen mixed vegetables. That is about 370 calories.
Then for dinner 1/3 cup Near East Quinoa, with a Morningstar Spicy Black Bean Burger or Tofu (his choice! :rotfl2:) with another 2 cups of frozen mixed
vegetables on the side. This is about 500 calories.
So, 130 left for a snack. I'd go with a medium sized apple with 1 tbsp of peanut butter for dipping. That's about 140 calories!
Sounds great! :cool1: Do you like mixed veggies? I do not like lima beans and still swallow them whole when we have them.
Been doing alright with exercise. Not going as hard this week, I feel really tired for some reason. That being said I have been doing well with my eating so I'm hoping that will help me out a bit this week. 5K is this weekend, tomorrow is the last day to sign up. I'm still on the fence about it but I will probably sign up.
Have a wonderful evening! :goodvibes
Did you sign up for the 5K?
LTS: Jury duty? I got summoned at 21 while I was supposed to be in class. I was able to postpone it until the semester ended. Is that an option? :confused3 If not, does the courthouse have Wi-Fi? Good luck! :goodvibes
Trina: :hug: My college let you petition to have certain grades dropped from your transcript. There were specific requirements, but I would look into whether that is a possibility. Let us know how things are going. :goodvibes
Hi Melissa: :hug: Hope the dizziness goes away quickly. I feel for you. I’ve had vertigo while I was lying down; it is awful. :headache:
Love the feeling of the sun on my back as I go for a walk
Kids being off school
Picnics
Family time together when my husband is off work
Sounds wonderful! :cool1: We used to have picnics when we lived on the NH Seacoast.
I love the slow pace of the summer for me. I like being able to read my paper on my patio in the morning. Taking my laptop out in the yard and sitting under the tree in the backyard.
It is so nice to relax! :woohoo:
