Biggest Loser 5 Week 2

Took the BL quiz Got 4 right the first time and retook it to see if I had remembered what I read and did get 100% so I guess I did learn something. Thought the bagel would have been better for me than the sausage sandwich thing - I was surprised about the peanuts also. DD has me reading labels much more carefully - popcorn:: remember only yellow popcorn without butter!
 
I'm down 1.1 lbs. I'll take it. I worked real hard and was hoping for two, maybe next week. I got six right on the test. By the third question I decided to answer the opposite of what I thought!! They were tricky. I'm looking forward to trying something new in each category. Have a great weekend everybody!!
 
OK this was a rough week. I am only down a pound but I am not giving up. I did get a lot of my workouts in this week so that is keeping me going. I took the Biggest Loser Challenge questions and only got 5 right. I have to agree with everyone else in that those questions were not easy. Hope everyone has a great second week and congrats to those who had great weeks. Keep up the good work.

I can't believe it. I had a great week -- down 6 pounds.

The weather has finally decided to be nice in the Maryland/DC area so I found a coworker to walk with at lunch. We have been walking 1.5-2 miles at lunch time. I guess it's paid off so far.

I did the Biggest Loser quiz and got 3 right. I thought I understood this all better than that. I'm to go back through and do it again in hopes that I have actually retained some of that information.

Down 1.4 lbs. Even though it was a loss, I could have done better. I let work get into the way and didn't exercise at all this week.

Took the BL quiz got 4 right. Surprised at some of the answers, including the bagel. Learned a lot though.

I am a maintainer this week, which is okay. I will continue with the program and slow but sure progress is what is great for me.

WHEW HEW for all of you who have lost and don't let it get you down to all of you who didn't. I lost 1.4 this week. Ate like a pig but made up for it at the gym. Next week I vow to control the eating AND continue at the gym.
I started taking the cycling class 3-5 times a week about 6 weeks ago. I FEEL GREAT!

Well this has been an interesting week with trying to get challenges done and everything else.

My weight is down 6 pounds :goodvibes and "The Man"'s weight is down 2. We have no idea how or why as we really have not had time to make any changes.

We both took the Real Age test but other than that, nothing else has changed.

I am not going to continue with this challenge. Real life has been crazy, and I don't have the time I would like to come on the dis, and keep up with this thread, and I think I need to concentrate on exercising and eating healthy, and not worrying so much about the number on the scale.

Yesterday was my last day of "freedom" during the week before I start my new Mon-Fri job. (I used to only work weekends) and guess what I got to do???? Spend it in the dentist chair!:scared1: In the morning I broke a tooth and they came in on their day off to help me out. Thank heavens they were willing to come in. The tooth broke right down past the gum line (previous root canal in that tooth with a big filling). They had to cauterize some of the gum tissue and drill away at the bone.:scared1: :scared1: Not exactly how I planned to spend that last day... I was thinking a nap, followed by computer time, followed by a nap, followed by computer time...etc! Oh well.

So, I am enjoying my weekend with my family, and then Monday I start... send some prayers and good thoughts my way if you don't mind. New jobs are always filled with excitement and nervousness!

So sorry to hear about the dentist !! Oh well at least that is over with and you got it taken care of right away, they were willing to work with you. Be extremely grateful for that. Your plans for rest, etc, so just perfect.

Sending prayers and thoughts your way as yon venture into the M-F work-a-day world. I am sure you will do just fine. I venture to say that it will make you more organized ~~ as you need to plan ahead and make your home plan work with your new work schedule.

Hi all,

We are back from Tallahassee and we are exhausted. Moved son # 1 back from college. Out of his third story appt with out an elevator. We thought he would be ready and wee would just have to load-- well silly us. The first issue was the van we were supposed to borrow from my company wouldn't start. So off we went in the car. So next week end we will have to rent a u haul to get the furniture back. Ugh. Then we had to help pack up and clean!!! I am tired. One room mate is staying for another session so I feel bad with all the work that is left.I cleaned one bathroom, the stove & the microwave. With the two cars we got everything but the bed, bike and bar stools. So now we know what one of us will be doing next week.

It's nice to have every one home. My house is a total mess but oh well.
 
Have not done so good with food choices. Went out to dinner before Elton John- he was fabulous. But I ate half a Rueben. Had a salad today and then the kids wanted wings---ugh. I can't pass those up. But did a lot of stair climbing so I hope I am ok.
