Big River Grille/brew Or Espn????

ever tried these two restaurants? what are your opinions? do you know if
they accept PS, AP discount, or DDE? thanks!

We have eaten at both places. Big River does not take PS's. Don't remember about ESPN. We went there for a Monday night football, walked in and ate at the bar. Then again for lunch when there was no wait.
I think the food at both is ok, just basic type burgers, salads and sandwiches.
If your thinking about dinner Big River is easier to get in. We went at 5:30 for dinner and were seated right away at a table outside.

According to the list on Deb's site, ESPN takes DDE & AP discount, Big River does not take eother.
ESPN does not take PS either.

ESPN served your basic bar and grill food. Nothing special, but we did enjoy the nachos.

Thanks for all your suggestions. we will be at the YC for 7 nights in May
(yay!~almost here!) with the exception of the evening when MK has EMH,
we have PS's at Wolfgang Cafe, Rainforest AK, Yachtsman SH, Narcoossees,
Sci FI, and 50's Prime Time. We are not into character dining (just me and
DH ) so I didn't make a MK restaurant PS for the EMH night, so
I figured that on that day, we will do parks in the daytime, come back to
the resort to freshen up, then go to either ESPN or Big River Grille, and
afterward head of to the MK for the EMH.

The food and service at BRG can be indifferent. ESPN has a good menu, good service too. However it can be a bit loud if that bothers you.

Usually at a micro-brewery the beer is good, and everything else is an afterthought. I had a good sandwich and fries at ESPN.

I've eaten at both and like both equally. Different types of food and atmosphere. Also, have you read the lastest reviews on Yacht Club Galley??? You might want to add that one to your list. I have heard nothing but outstanding reviews. We are staying at the Beach Club Villas in November and I'm anxious to try it.

Big River Grill is a must do for us. We love the Hazlenut Crusted Chicken w/ the garlic mashed potatoes. The beer is also yummy!!!!!!!

I'm not sure if they have beer or wine. You might ask. But if you type in Yacht Club Galley in the search at the top of the page, you'll get past threads where it's mentioned.

The meatloaf at BRG is also quite good. ESPN-aside from being terribly noisey--also has a pretty sad beer selection. You'll do much better in that dept. at BRG.

I 2nd this one this was some of the best meatloaf I have ever had. We make this a stop on every trip (5-8 times a year).

We stop at ESPN on our first day to satisfy our craving for their wings. DS & DH enjoy the sports atmosphere and the arcade games. I can usually pick-up a gift for someone in their giftshop. Why is it that us ladies always head straight for the gift shops? Drives DH batty.
