Beth's Journal-Bring It!

Well, I m back from my living hell. I will be the first to say that my sister and I have major baggage. Being my kid sister made her life horrible in high school, and she has never forgiven me. The last few days have been awful. I know she is feeling scared and horrible, but I was there to help. I became her punching bag. I did nothing right. They live on a very busy street and I couldn't let Katie play outside unsupervised, but I wasn't to take Cam outside. He had a cold. I took refuge in food. I'm up to 197. I also am going for minor surgery tomorrow. I need to have a fibroid removed. No big deal, just bloody inconvenient. It also mens no exercise for 2 weeks.

Ok, I need to get a few things done, but I will be around to journals tonight.
Take care,
Beth

Man, it sounds like your last few days stunk! Still, she's blessed to have you and you know that you're adding my feathers to your angel wings by helping her out. Hang in there, and good luck tomorrow with your surgery. You'll be in my prayers when I'm out walking the dog.

Erin

I'm sorry for what you are having to deal with. You are very sweet to help her out and I agree, you are adding many feathers to your wings. Know you are doing the right thing and it is her loss if she is ungrateful. Take care of yourself. I hope your procedure goes well. :grouphug:

Oh Beth,

Sweetie, I am so sorry that the past week has been tough for you. :grouphug: Your sister is very blessed to have had your help the past few days.

I am sending my prayers your way for your procedure tomorrow. :grouphug: Take good care of you!

Hi Beth - Glad to see your back alive... barely. Sorry things with your sister didn't go so well, but don't even trip over it. If she doesn't realize how lucky she is to have her, her loss. I wish I had a sister that would have done that for me when I was pregnant. You are such an unselfish person

Don't worry about the eating, it's over and done with. Just try and get your food back on track and after your done healing, slowly get back to exercising and you'll be fine.

Beth -- I know what you went through with your sister was hell, but I hope you will always remember what a wonderful thing you did for her. I hope even more so that she remembers it and comes to appreciate your generosity. You are an amazing person, Beth. Take care of you.

Good morning, dear Beth! :sunny:

I'm glad you're home, back in your own comfortable surroundings. It will be much easier to eat on plan and to relax and de-stress.

Best wishes for an easy and successful procedure today and for a quick and relatively pain-free recovery. I'll keep you in my prayers and am sending a gentle  your way.

Try to enjoy your recovery time - time to just "be" and forget about the long to-do lists and chores. They can all wait. Play board games with Katie. Watch videos in your jammies. Indulge in a good book. Sit outside in the warm sunshine.

Love ya, Beth

Hey, I'm right here with you, too. :goodvibes Hope you're not too uncomfortable, Beth. Take care, now--

Erin

Hi Beth,

Sending a gentle :grouphug: your way. I hope that your procedure went well and that you are at home relaxing. Take good care of you, sweetie! :grouphug:

Thanks guys,

The procedure went very well. I'm sore just like I would be with TOM, but it is manageable. I am taking motrin. I did take last night off, but I am going in to work tonight and I am scheduled for tomorrow. I am taking this a step at a time.

I have been so far off program, and it shows. I am at 200 pounds. Yikes. I am not allowed to execise for 2 weeks. It is really stressing me out. I am focusing on water today, and I will try to tackle food tomorrow. Baby steps.

I am sorry that I haven't made it to journals. Katie understands that mommy was sick, and is now better, but she is really clingy right now. I will try to catch up in the near future.

Take care,
Beth

Beth:

Please do get some rest. You've simply had enough on your plate for the next 6 years. I hope that life takes a turn for the better very soon.

Baby steps with food and exercise. A short stroll with Katie probably will help your state of mind even if heading to the Y is not an option for a while.

Again, I wish you some peace and quality time with your DH and Katie.

How was the rest of your weekend? Did you get a ton of snow like we did? We had over a foot and a half of snow this weekend! Yikes! :earseek:

I hope you have a great week Beth! Take good care of you!

HI Beth,

Hope you are feeling well from your procedure. Take care of yourself. :goodvibes

Hi,

Well, I am headed to bed. This weekend wasn't bad. They took pity on me, and I had the easiest assignment all weekend. I was still busy, but it was ok. I think I may have figured out what works for Mondays. I come home and nap for 2.5 hours. Pick Katie up and do lunch. Katie now has swim lessons from 1-145. I spent the time walking on the track. I think the combination of nap ad exercise helps. I actually felt pretty good all day.

I have also managed 2 days OP. It is starting to feel like I am getting back in control. I know that I am not all the way back, but I am making improvements. I am taking my clippie down. I am at 203. I know this is only temporary. I am ok with this.

I didn't get to everyone. I'll try to make the rounds tomorrow. It is another busy day. Dance, grocery shopping, dr appointment, and a walk at the Y. I am hoping to squeeze a nap in there.

Catch you later,
Beth

Balancing the need for rest and the need for exercise is always a challenge for me. I'm glad you're figuring out the balance that works best for you. Naps are a wonderful thing!

I know today is another busy one for you. Pat yourself on the back for all those things you accomplish in a day! You are amazing!! ::yes::
