BETA got the fishy blues

ok, I quit! fish are just too hard. I have two guppies (langly and frokihky) but I dont think there gonna make it much longer (there sickly even though Ive treated the tank). Ive done great with beta fish before. so is there anything I can keep in the tank with a beta?

Did your guppie tank go through the nitrogen cycle?

I have four Bettas, two girls and two boys, in separate tanks and pond snails don't even survive. Mine really like being loners.

Betta fish are considered aggressive fish and can live with any non-aggressive fish. At the pet store, they have descriptions of the fish which include if they are considered aggressive or not. My Betta lived with goldfish for many years and they got along fine.

How big is the tank? That is the biggest factor. I grew out if Bettas years ago; though when I was in Petsmart unexpectedly buying a filter this afternoon I was almost tempted. But buying everything to set up a 5 gallon tank plus the tank stopped me.

I had the most success keeping one on his own or with a trio of cory cats. Hop over to an aquarium forum. The trend over on the one I frequent seems to be the Bettas with freshwater shrimp.

cycled for a week before I got any fish. All the levels are ok, I checked them with the test strip things. Im just not a one fish person, so I would have to have two fish. Its a 5 gallon, filtered, double arratored, planted and decorated tank with a printed backround. These are spoiled spoiled fish
