Best time to try to rent points

We have begun planning our 2007 trip and have decided to try to rent points (for the first time) at either BCV or BWV. We will be travelling Oct 20-27, 2007. My understanding is that members can not rent points for their home resort until 11 months from the check-out date. So it sounds like I could start the rental request process on Nov 27. Is this all correct and is this something I want to jump on right away or wait a few months?

You'd want to contact a member now to get it all confirmed and set before the day you want to start making your reservations. So post on the R/T board and see what happens. You have selected the time during the Food & Wine Festival and the DVC resorts get booked up pretty quickly. Especially the ones near Epcot (BWV and BCV).

The member can start making reservations day by day from the second day of your trip. Or they could wait until 11 months from the checkout.
