Hi All ~ Last year we watched WISHES from the POLY beach for our first night. We would like to see WISHES again from someplace NOT in MK. Any suggestions?

What about from the MK Ferryboat? Thanks! Sandra

Watching them from the California Grill is great.

Even though it was raining (hard!) when we went and we stood outside on the roof of the Contemporary Resort... it was really quite nice, and you could hear the music.

We don't want to eat at the California Grill.....can we still go see WISHES? Thanks! S

You would have to have reservations at the California Grill if you want to see the fireworks from the roof top. They escort you upstairs in a seperate elevator.

I guess we'll do the POLY beach again. S

DW and I are kind of thinking about watching from the beach at Poly...what is the view like and how busy is it? Do we need to go super duper early???

Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian actually dims their lights and pumps in the music from Wishes during the show! This is an amazing place to see the fireworks, hear the music and enjoy the show. We had dinner after our wedding at the Wedding Pavillion at Narcoossee's and the whole bunch of us went out onto the veranda to enjoy Wishes. Highly recommended.

Cheers,
Linda

Last year we had a lovely first night at WDW.

We arrived at the POLY about 90 minutes before WISHES, played on the monorail for a while....did both Epcot and MK rounds on the monorail. Then we walked back to the POLY, bought a light dinner from Capt Hooks cafe, took the food to the beach and relaxed on a lounge chair while munching and enjoying WISHES and Electric Water Pageant. We didn't hear the music, but the view was awesome! It wasn't crowded at all....and it was March Break. We easily got lounge chairs on the beach and there were loads to spare. I highly recommend it! Although I love the Poly beach, another option is watching Wishes from the Contemporary. Off the, I think off the fourth floor (the one with the shops, Chef Mickey's, etc.) there is kind of a balcony at the north end of the tower/main building. Also, if you go up to a higher floor you can go on the stairwell on the north-west corner. Just a warning that you can only go OUT those doors - you'll have to go down the stairs to the four floor to get back into the resort.

Have fun!

It vaires based on the operating hours, but generally between 8 - 10pm and lasts about ten minutes.

In Dec we watched Wishes from the TTC, right where the ferry lets passengers off. There were a few benches available. No music, but still very nice.

Do you have to be staying at the Polynesian Resort to sit on their beach and watch wishes? My son is disabled and can't stand the noise of the fireworks but loves the look of them. I was thinking of taking the monorail over to the Polynesian and doing that with him. Then we can just go back to Vistana after its over ~ does the monorail go from Poly to the TTC?

Get a dinner reservation at Ohana at the Poly and try to get a window seat. We could see the fireworks (and hear the music) from within the restaurant.

Our favourite place to watch it from that isn't in MK is to go to Ft Wilderness and hop on a boat going back over to MK our captain on both occasions stopped in the middle of Bay lake and had the music piped into the boat and let us watch from the boat it was great.
