A bit OT but your comment reminded me...IMO, When OKW expires 2042/2057, I think it should be recreated as a Margaritaville-style Adult Only Resort with new dining & entertainment options. Off the beaten track a bit, plenty of pools & LOTS of Disney Adults would enjoy it-kind of like the adult only areas on the cruises.I've never stayed at SSR not sure if I like it
Poly too crowded and too many kids, high points etc.dont like that there's no adult dining like my other two resorts
I'm not a fan of Hawaii (aside from Aulani i hope)
Are they still giving out leis at poly island tower? My cousin keeps talking about how she wants one but I thought they stopped
Great news! Very serendipitous as we were just talking about dining for an upcoming trip...Wailulu is now offering a 10% DVC discount

How did the parking end up working out?I see a lot of people on FB commenting that the parking situation is tough at the Poly with the construction going on (people being sent to TTC to park?). Does that include the DVC parking lot? We have a 2 night stay at the original DVC buildings (not the new tower) next week and will have a rental car, so I'm wondering if we will have issues.
No issues at all. We parked on the right when you pull in (where the old DVC buildings are), so maybe the issues are only near the new tower. We went in and out multiple times and never had an issue finding very good parking spots. How did the parking end up working out?

What will your view be in the 1 bedroom? That might help decide which view to book for the 2 nights prior.Opinions please from those who have stayed at the Poly Tower: Pick one
Duo Studio resort view
Duo Studio preferred view
Tower Deluxe Studio Resort view
One person 2 nights moving to a 1 bedroom afterwards.
The 1 bedroom is at BCV. I’ve stayed at Poly in a std longhouse before and enjoy the resort but I would like to try the tower of course. Currently I have the tower duo std view booked for 32 pts but considering spending more points for preferred to be on a higher floor. Touring Plans has the preferred view duo as only 9 and 10th floors with two on each floor with monorail view. What will your view be in the 1 bedroom? Do the Longhouses Studios have a Keurig or a regular drip coffee maker? Or, should I just ignore that and go to Kona Cafe for coffee?
Interesting! I wonder if it is due to the more limited parking because of the construction of the new entrance? I also wonder if they are still letting people park who are trying to get into Trader Sam's or Wailulu. I thought that could be a problem when they recently announced it because people would say they are going to either location but instead, park and hop on the monorail to the MK, since neither locations have ADR's.I just saw two separate posts on social media that Captain Cook’s is limiting itself to Poly guests. Non-guests are getting a message when they try and mobile order.

Wailulu is still available for mobile order so I think it may have to do with adding 300 rooms and people wanting the cheaper food optionsInteresting! True! I've definitely seen it around the holidays! They pretty routinely do this in the app for Captain Cook’s, Contempo Cafe at CR, and Gasparilla Island at GF. I’ve never studied it enough to try to determine if there’s a pattern or logic to when it’s used or not, but it’s not really unusual.
