This probably will be my last post before we leave tomorrow. I have to make it quick since I am still getting things ready.

Valerie - glad to hear you and your family are o.k. Your mom had an interesting night too, but happy that she is fine and w/ your family.

Like LK said, thank you for all your thoughts and prayers about Shawn. During the Pirate game tonight, they were mentioning him, and they had a moment of silence before the game.

Sorry so short. I will miss all of you and will be thinking of you (and all the pages I have to catch up on) . Be well Angels!

I'm heading to bed. I didn't sleep well last night. I had bad dreams. One was about bat snakes (snakes that had wings like bats). It was icky! Hope I don't do that again.

Today we set up the two bookcases. I guess tomorrow I'll try to move some of the books into place. I think I really like them.

Tonight both the kids were away. David had a band party and Amy is at a sleepover. We got a pizza and rented a movie. A guy in front of us at Blockbuster passed out or maybe had a minor seizure. It was a little scary. We stuck around for a little while, but he seemed to be okay. Said he had no idea what had happened. My OBGYN had just left. I had to laugh about that. If only the guy had done it a little sooner, my doc could have practiced a different type of medicine for a change. I hope the fellow is all right. He promised he'd check it out with a doctor.

Anyway, I'm off to bed. I'll check back tomorrow.

I am off to Baltimore soon to help out my mother today.

Safe trip to everyone traveling. Is this what the remaining Angels felt like on Riddlecon? I feel like I am being deserted.

Only one more week until school starts on August 25. I hate for the kids to go back. There is so much more I wish we could have done this summer. Time goes by so quickly now and I will miss them when school starts up.

I did get a good start on packing this morning. I got a decent nights sleep last night for the first time in weeks, so I feel pretty good today. Yesterday was one of those we wont talk about!

Elaine, they have not suggested antidepressants, but we are going to be using several different supplements to aid in the digesting protien. It seems that Fibro patients aren't able to use their protien well enough, so I am starting that regiment soon. They also reccomend deep muscle massage, so I am continueing therapy along with streatching and strengthening excersise. Of course, if I have a "weak" day, I have to curtail that, but it is all in managing it. DH said he would spring for a masseuse each night, if that is what I need. I will do as much as I can at WDW, and if I get too weak or tired, I will "ride"!

Have a GREAT anniversary trip, OK! Your anniversary is the day after ours. We plan to celebrate at Artists Point. We are also doing a "re-hitching" ceremony at Garden Grill!

bumpity bump

I'm still here and will help hold down the fort!!!!! Been kinda busy but with fun things. Just came back from shopping with EB. We got charms to make a bracelet for her bestest friend and I got a Relic watch.

Last night I went to see a performance by a local theatre group I've been involved with, although not as actively in recent years. Its first incarnation was when I was in high school & college and we'd do 2 or 2 productions each summer, and was comprised if teens & young adults. The group reformed in 1994 with many of the same people along with kids, teens and older folks too, and started out doing a musical reviews in the summer, but also did plays and musicals as time went on.

Last night was a retrospective of the first 9 years of productions and I got to see some old friends. Granted I'm biased but the few of us who go back to the performances in the 1970's look pretty much the same...and darned good too! They had photos from prior productions and I laughed at the ones of me when I was pregnant with EB!!!!

Hope our travelers have safe journeys and those of us who are home are having a nice weekend. Glad you had a good night Marsha. Hope your back isn't troubling you too much E. Carol & Laura & Melissa, I'm also sad the kids are heading back to school already. I'll miss not having to worry about homework and practices and stuff, it's been nice this summer.

We're heading out in a while, I'll see if anyone is around later this evening.

I'm sure that he'll love anything you get him.
Try to be creative....get him a gift that took thought & effort, not just $. Gifts that come from the heart are the most valuable ones! and the most appreciated.
Ideas off the top of my head...........
-make a CD of songs that are meaningful to you
-make a picture scrapbook of your first year together
-put together a folder with brochures of all the places you've ever dreamed of going
-cook him his favorite meal & serve it by candlelight

I know that you'll come up with exactly the right gift!

We had some doozy of a thunderstorm this afternoon. I was driving back home from Baltimore and had to pull off the road a while. Got home safely though.

We are going to try to make a day trip to the ocean tomorrow.

Carol, you could send a little of that rain our way. We have been VERY dry for the past month. A wet spring and early summer followed by a dry July/August means TERRIBLE allergy season!
