Bendy-Friendies V.4 ... Drinks-A-Plenty with a Side Order of Tasty Food!!!

Well... I just got some sad news about a friend of mine... Actually I had a crush on Bob when we were in 4th grade... but I'm also friends with his wife and she's wonderful!!! Anyway... I just found out that he needs to have his 2nd kidney transplant. The last transplant he got a kidney from an old man, so they told him long ago that he would need another. He got the test results last night. We are all in shock. Bobby is my age. I'm waiting to hear because I think he has a rare blood type. Not that I could be a donor with my medical history... but I just wish there was something I could do...

I cant post this on FB for obvious reason... so Prayers and Pixie Dust are appreciated... Thanks!!

Prayers and Pixie Dust! I'm sorry to hear about your friend, awaiting a kidney, but it is good you are helping them explore their SS options, having a caring friend like you really helps out in those situations. :littleangel:

Thanks... not much else I can do... I can't be tested because of my previous health problems... so.... :confused3

final Robuchon post was made to the blog today. follow the link in my signature if you wanna take a look at some amazing pictures! :goodvibes

oybolshoi, love your blog but you did not comment on how you enjoyed (or did not) your latest courses. also, what was that first desert? it looked kind of like an eggshell but can't really tell, your dinner sounds unforgetable for many reasons!

we liked them fine but couldn't really think of much to say about them so that's why I only included pictures and descriptions. the first dessert was served inside of a porcelain egg ... it was along the lines of a lemon sorbet and it was amazing!

Thanks for reading. :goodvibes

wow, brenda...that whole meal looked amazing. i am green with jealousy! but you didn't get a picture of skeletor...i was a sad panda because of that. :( i know that you probably weren't up to invading their privacy (like they did yours) but it still would have been fun to see. heh

I'd just like a couple of those porcelain eggs! I'll even provide my own dessert. :goodvibes

I posted a couple of blog updates if anyone is interrested ... The Dance of the Seven Cheese Plates and a Vegas picture essay. Hope everyone is doing well. :goodvibes

Hi everyone. We did not get the snow that was called for. So to celebrate, pancakes for breakfast. Have wonderful day everyone.

We did brunch at Olivers again... weekly treat..... Eggs Benny... this time my favorite waitress, Faith brought me tons of extra hollandaise... Must remember her at the holidays... :goodvibes

Thank you for sharing the pictures and report on your mega feast at the Robuchan. I'm not sure I could survive that meal, but enjoyed tasting it through you. The seven days of cheese was great too, but I'm surprised at the number who aren't doing this anymore.

If we ever make it to Las Vegas, we'll have to consult with you for our dining plans.

Karen (and Ed) We sat next to you at the French Regional Lunch in the Bistro de Paris last October during Food & Wine.

Booked the Dolphin for F&W last night!

I miss us all on here.
I miss not having time to read here like I used to.

How exciting! I am hoping that there is some way we will be at F&W this year too, but only time will tell.

Congrats!

We're still holding off on booking our F&W until May as I'll probably book it with a bounce back from my May Trip.

I turned in my notice for my current job and start my new job on April 11th :D Hopefully things will be less crazy for me soon (or a new good type of crazy)
