Bendy-Friendies V.4 ... Drinks-A-Plenty with a Side Order of Tasty Food!!!

Elin we are still trying to figure out what we did to deserve such good fortune. It was definitely a highlight of the trip. :goodvibes

Maybe it's just your general Friendieness!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

We wouldn't be here without you, you know... :grouphug:

Ok... now we can stop tearing up... (tearing :sad1:... not TEARING up!!!:rolleyes1)

I don't think it's friendliness ... I'm actually kind of a surly loner. :rotfl2:

I'm sure it was some of the Batmanuel sparkle that hadn't worn off of Jay yet. ;)

Abby, I posted an entire album of food & wine snacks / drinks on facecrack - go check it out for what I think you should try and avoid.

I just had to share my excitement!!!!

On somewhat of a whim, I booked a Behind the Seeds Tour for me and my Gram while we're there....I'm going to TRY and keep it a secret and surprise her with it as her birthday gift. She's REALLY in to gardening (has a greenhouse full of bromeliads) and she's given me a bit of that bug too.

While I was on the phone call with the reservation agent, I was like hmm....Garden View Tea would be a nice thing on our arrival day....so I asked him to check for me and there was a 3:30 opening! :yay:

I'm so excited to add those 2 things to our itinerary!

Anyone done them before? I know Brenda has done Tea....read your review of course.

Our family did the Behind the Seeds Tour because our son is a science geek and my husband enjoys the gardening aspect. We all really enjoyed the tour and it was a lovely learning experience. Hope you find it the same.

Hey y'all, I haven't read back but wanted to share something with you and ask for good thoughts, prayers or some pixie dust. Today we signed a contract to purchase DVC at the Boardwalk!!!!!! We are scheduled to close by 1/5/2011 if everything goes as planned.:cloud9:

We've done the tour and enjoyed it - it is fun just being on the other side of the boats and being able to take more time to look at the plants and ask questions. It is not that long in duration or distance, so it is not that tiring. Also, I think you might get a taste of a veggie, not 100% certain but I think lately I've seen a little table back there and people munching on something. You also go through the aquaculture section - I got to feed the tilapia!!! (nobody else wanted to...) :confused3

It is low key, but reasonable for a Disney tour, and if your Gram likes plants, I think it should be fun for her. Have a great time and enjoy your Afternoon Tea too!

Abby - Haven't done the Behind the Seeds tour but Tea and the Grand is something my DDs and I love to do. almost every trip! ;)

Kat - :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

I hope we get something that nice for the Frinal Frunch.

Heading out to a potluck tonight & want to share one of the things I made:

For something 'family friendly' they turned out rather nice.

Those look good - like those little fried Mac and Cheese appetizers! Do they need to be served warm? just wondered if I brought them to a party, if I'd have to rewarm them.

I think they'd be fun kid (and big kid!) food, thanks for sharing!

Disyoda ... those looked yummy. Thanks for the link.

As for frunch, thanks for taking the time to read - glad you enjoyed it!

Catherine, we attended three different frunches this year and they were all very well done so I don't think you have anything to worry about. For me, the best wines were at the second frunch we attended and the best food (meaning the stuff I liked the most) was at the last frunch that I reviewed for food blog.

I'm taking my mom to frunch on Sunday, the last one they are doing. It's the Burgundy wines. We did a Burgundy wine school once so we know we will probably like the Burgundy wines. I hope they have a white for Mom, she's not a huge fan of red, but I like reds.
