Elin, here are the recipes....they are both unbelievably easy:
Cake Pops:
1 box cake mix (you can choose whatever flavor you like)
1 cup of frosting (you can choose whatever flavor you like)
1 bag of candy melts (you can choose whatever flavor/color you like)
Lollipop sticks
Prepare cake mix per directions on box. Let cake cool completely, and then crumble into a large bowl.
Mix in 1 cup of frosting.....make sure you mix it all in, and don't have any clumps.
Roll mixture into 1 inch balls. Refrigerate for several hours or freeze for 15 minutes until firm. Work with a few balls at a time in order to keep them from warming back up too much.
Melt candy melts in microwave per package directions. Dip end of lollipop stick into melted candy, and then insert about halfway into cake ball. Let set up for a minute, and then dip cake ball into melted candy, covering as much as you can. If you want to add sprinkles, or candy, or anything else, sprinkle it on now. Insert completed cake pop into a styrofoam block and let dry.
One recipe will make around 48 to 50 cake pops.
Spider Dip:
1 8 oz block cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup of your favorite salsa
1 pkg prepared guacamole (or make your own version, which is what I did)
A few tablespoons of sour cream
Mix cream cheese and salsa together until smooth. Spread into a 9 inch pie plate.
Spread guacamole on top of salsa/cream cheese mixture, to within an inch of the edge.
Spoon sour cream into a plastic bag....snip off on corner, and use bag to pipe concentric circles on top of guac. Then take a knife, and starting at the center, draw knife down through the circles several times to create the spiderweb pattern.
