Oct. 22 The Wave TBD
Oct. 25 Victoria & Albert’s Scott Hunnel
Oct. 29 California Grill TBD

TBD BlueZoo Todd English[/I]

EDITED TO ADD: As usual most of the dinners that we'd really like to attend are for dates that we're not at WDW. It's absolutely uncanny how that always manages to happen.

We'd be all over Jiko, Wolfgang Puck, V&A, CA Grill, Ragland Road, and BlueZoo as well as Flying Fish ... but since only one is offered during our trip we're holding out hope that we're able to snag it.

How do you know TBD isn't during your trip? eh? I can't make any of the dated ones - but there's still Todd and Kevin left to make up their minds.

Brenda - Thanks for the info! Unfortunately we won't be there for any of them.

::yes:: And I am crossing my fingers that one of them will fit nicely into October 2-7. :rolleyes1

Apparently "someone" heard the complaints and the DISads have been removed. I don't mind the ads, just their placement of them!

I'm glad their gone. They were very irritating right in the middle of posts.

I'm assuming based on past years that these two dinners will be in November. I'd be more than happy to be wrong and see them pop up during my dates but I'm not holding my breath. ;)

I think you are right... but I will continue to dream! :goodvibes

For dinner tonight my younger DD and I went to our favorite wine bar here in the 'Burg.

As usual we had a wonderful meal and great wines. And, I remembered to take some photos! Some are a little blurry as I was using my cell
phone and it is not always as clear as I would like. Others I have "borrowed" from Google! ;)

For an appetizer DD and her friend had
Shrimp Ceviche: Sustainably farmed tiger shrimp ‘cooked’ in fresh squeezed orange juice, tumeric & mustard seed (can't find my photo!!)

I had Beet Chips with Thyme and Sea Salt

For dinner DD's friend had Gazpacho (no pictures, sorry) and Fried Green Tomatoes with Sriracha Mayo

DD had Shrimp and Grits: pecorino cheese, applewood smoked bacon, shiitake mushrooms

And I had Mussels in beurre blanc with Roth Kase buttermilk blue cheese

For dessert we shared Chocolate Pots de Creme and Pound Cake Panino filled with Nutella and fresh strawberries

For our meal we drank Cresta Azul Cava. (The blue-label one on the right)

And our choice for dessert was Riondo Pink Prosecco

The evening ended abruptly with the onset of some strobe-light lightning! But until then we had a fine time with good food and drink.

Add me to the list of those glad to see those ads removed. I get that they are a necessary evil, but the placement was really bad.

I've got a little food porn for you all....today was my and my darling hubby's 10 year anniversary, and since we are saving every penny for our F&W trip, we celebrated with a meal at home.

Our menu for the evening was spice rubbed ribeyes, cheddar-sour cream mashed potatoes, roasted lemon carrots and molten chocolate lava cakes with vanilla ice cream and kahlua whipped cream. DH also grilled a 6 oz filet for an appetizer, but we only got two bites of it before DD5 wandered into the kitchen and said "Is that steak? Save that for me for dinner!". I guess it's true....the apple really doesn't fall far from the tree....:rotfl:

I'm just getting started with the food porn shots, so these aren't the greatest....but here are our dinner plates...yummy moo cow, creamy, cheesy potatoes and sweet, yet tart carrots.

Our beverage for the evening was Duplin Carolina Scuppernog. Duplin is a small winery near Wilmington on the NC coast, and they put out some pretty good wines. For those of you who hail from north or west of the Mason-Dixon line, scuppernog grapes are a Southern specialty, and are a little muskier than a normal wine grape. This particular wine is very fruity, with a slight musky aftertaste, and very sweet, which is how DH and I like our wines. Here's a pic of the bottle....which of course we had already broken in to!

And finally, dessert. These turned out a little flatter than I would have liked, but I only had 10 oz ramekins, and they were meant to be baked in 6 to 8 oz ramekins. Fortunately, my stomach didn't notice the flatness.:lmao:

Somehow the kiddies ended up eating a great deal of these as well! I swear those kids are like bloodhounds when there's chocolate involved.

ohhhh I'm drooling... once again....

I had a tuna sandwich on an onion bagel washed down with a glass of cranberry juice and an almost full bag of Chocolate Nonpareils... :rolleyes1 Can you say I'm a bit stressed???????? :scared:

I'm sorry you're stressed out but that dinner sounds kinda yummy!

Not as yummy as the recent pictures posted but still yummy! :)

Elin that food porn looks great, especially the shrimp & grits. Although, I must admit that the beet chips intrigue me ... what did they taste like?

Happy Anniversary Heather! Your dinner looked scrumptious!

And Tink ... did you save me any nonpareils? I love those almost as much as I love chocolate covered raisins. :cloud9:

I have the house to myself this week - mom went away with my brother to Cape Cod... I went out to go grocery shopping for myself... I just ended up in the candy aisle... :confused3

I would have just bought cheese ... but same result. ;)

Feel better ... It was an ugly week here, too. My boss was out of town so I had to do his job and mine (ummm, I only get paid for one of us and it's not at the higher salary ... :lmao:), I had another interview for the job I think I'm going to turn down (no amount of money is going to convince me to give up my evenings and weekends ... I already paid my dues doing that kind of crap), and Auntie Crohn is feeling decidedly unloved and unappreciated ... I think what's happening is called The Shunning ... not to be confused with The Shining. :lmao:

Oh well ... I'm taking my shingly-self and going to bed with some hydrocodone. :cloud9:

I hope you sleep well, friendie.

When you're feeling better we need to plan a "let's all have the same slushy boozey drink and chat" night here on the Belly up thread!

I forgot to mention that a friend of mine at work is headed down to WDW in a couple of weeks and thanks to yours truly she's decided to book the MK dessert party for her family.

So I will have a first-hand review (sans pictures) for you guys towards the middle of July.

I hope it's as good as it should be. :goodvibes

Thanks, Mel.

A boozy, slushy chat night sounds like a fine, fuzzy time! :thumbsup2

Feel better my friend... & watch those pain killers and that slush... :rolleyes1

(I know... she never mixes... :rolleyes1)

MY stress is coming from "the Project"... I had to get my other half (boyfriend/boss) home from Brussels where he assures me he bought me real gummy bears... but I have to wait until he goes from NY to Mexico to San Diego to LA to San Francisco and then to MY house before I get those gummies...

I just want the frequent flier miles those candies have got... :thumbsup2

There seems to be tons of information from the following link. I think it is the Miami Examiner. Not sure where this guy is getting his info or if it is correct, but he had dates and times included.

Thanks so much for posting this info. It would be nice if Disney would give us this information before we have to book our ADRs. And make no mistake - if you're going while it's still free dining, you BETTER get your ADRs the very day your window opens. I waited until noon (to be honest I slept until noon :guilty:), to call up yesterday - the online reservations were down right after I started mine. I knew things book out fast, but we're going in low season ferchrissakes, and I surely didn't expect I couldn't get any of my times, a few hours after the lines opened. :sad1: Chefs de France was already booked the entire day of Sat. September 26, so had to switch that one to Monday and the only time availableon Monday was noon! I really wanted dinner   I then asked for Citrico's for the 26th instead, and the only time I could get was 5. 30 pm *ACK*!!! :scared1: That's usually when I'm finishing lunch.
Of course, it was the opposite situation when I was trying to book Kona for 6 pm (because we want to go over there directly after AK closes at 5 PM), because then, earliest time I could get was 8 p.m. :headache:
The CM could tell I was in shock and told me that by 7 AM every morning they have 500 people queued up on the phones. I guess every man and his hound dog is coming during free dining . Then right after that I heard the news about Michael Jackson and it took me the rest of the day to recover from both those experiences.

Anyway, Bendy - can you expound on why the Welcome Center events are so awful? I'm tempted by the Wine walks and Flavourhood sounds great. What do you think of Sweet Sundays? I know you had a rough experience with the celebrity chef lunch. The one that's on when we're there is Paula Deen - so probably not worth it. PFTS sounded so out of control last year but I wouldn't want to risk it.

I LOVE seeing everyone's pics!!!

(now if I had just thought to get married myself...:rolleyes1)

The wedding pic was TOO cute and I'm loving the food porn. This is my 4th day of Chinese take-out leftovers. JUst not in the mood to spend much time in the kitchen lately.
I didn't do the wedding thing though I did the parent thing :rolleyes1 One of my favourite memories is taking my son to his first WDW visit at age 2 1/2. Those were the days of BIG hair, :lmao:
