Behind the Scenes Tour/Walk in Walt's Footsteps information?

Hey, I am going to Disneyland this summer and was wondering if any one had information/experience with a Walk in Walt's Footsteps (is that what it is called) or any other behind the scenes tour. I will be at the GC for a week, so I was looking for extra stuff to spice up the trip, thanks for the help!

I went on the Walk in Walt's Footsteps Tour in February. I enjoyed it, but thought it was a bit overpriced for what you actually got. A guide told us facts and stories about DL as we made our way into the park and down Main Street. We were supposed to go into the Disney Gallery, but it was closed during our visit. We did go into the lobby of Club 33. It finished with lunch/dinner at the Golden Horseshoe watching the Variety Show. There were definately things I hadn't known that I learned on the tour. I had been hoping for a little more behind the scenes stuff.

If money is tight, this doesn't give you a lot of bang for the buck. But, if you want a full on Disney experience and you're not strapped for cash, I say go for it.

When I did the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour in 2000, it was only $14 (I think), and I had a coupon for 50% off the full price. Now the DL tours are comparable in price to WDW tours.

Did the tour. We liked it. We have done backstage tours at WDW as well. DL is special if you are a Disney history buff because it is the only park he built.

It was worth doing. Fun for Disney nuts like us.

We just did the tour on Wed (Apr 16th). We really enjoyed the tour. Some aspects did remind me of the tour I took at WDW. But, I still really enjoyed it.
We had Edmundo as our tour guide. There was a supervisor (Kimberly) that went ahead of the group to get things ready for us. There were only 6 people in our group. Edmundo said the maximum is 15.
At the end of the tour, you are served a lunch. For us, it turned out to be a hearty sandwich (you select what kind you would like at the beginning of the tour), a drink and we also had apple pie in the patio area just off from the Disney Gallery (which actually was going to be Walt Disney's larger Family quarters, however, he died before the project finished).
We felt it was worth the money.
