Been There, Done That and ThenSome:Timandlesley Do Disneyfor18days!11/2 TR IS UP!pg79

Funny, my son still talks about the TV's in the bathroom at the ESPN club. :rotfl2:

Looks like y'all had a nice relaxing 4th.

Tim had his fill of pool day lounging so he wanted to go to DTD to catch a movie, so he headed out to watch his movie

What did he see?:confused3

:lovestruc He is SO HANDSOME in this picture! Good catch!
so instead of taking the monorail we just walked across to the Contemporary:

I love that walk, especially when the monorails buzz by!

ME AND MY BOYFRIEND!!!

Um, EXCUSE ME?! That is MY boyfriend!!:sad2:

TIM AND HIS GIRLFRIEND!!!!

Oh, no he didn't!! Matt will be very upset when he hears about this!!
;)

Cute! Love this!:thumbsup2
We saw them on the way out and just stood there staring them as they were eating from afar to see if they would look up, they didn’t, so Tim texted “we’re watching you” and they looked up and were laughing at us stalkers ; )
:rotfl: Sounds like you guys shared so many fun moments!
Diane and I voted that the guys should bring them in and we’d sit outside the arcade and talk
That-a-girl! Way to throw the kids on the husbands so you could have some girl time. I love it!

Diane was showing us her balcony, and we were looking up and walking and found it and then we looked down and realized we had LOST LAUREN!!!
Oh my gosh!:scared1:Not AGAIN!!

Well, after we were ALL TOGETHER we enjoyed some games:
These look like a lot of fun, something else we've never taken the time to do. Was it really expensive?

so we opted for the quicker option and took a taxi back to Saratoga- GREAT decision, we were dropped off right in front of our elevator up to our room at Grandstand and it only cost us $9.00 for the taxi- YEAH!!!
We have never even let a Taxi cab cross our mind. I will need to remember the quickness and the cheap fair next time we are there. Certainly worth it at times, no?

We slept in again (nice theme of our trip). We had pop tarts in the room I had brought from home. Then we got our suits on and headed down to the Grandstand pool.
Sounds like such a relaxing, slow-paced morning. Good for you guys!

I love the red chairs... how cool!

We had 2 missions at DTD and they both dealt with Team Mickey
That store is DANGEROUS!!!

Lauren was DYING for some girl interaction, so she had fun with Shae
So glad Shae could bring a little girly-girl to the evening!

And the boys had fun with Tyson:

Imagine how cute that would've been if Tyson was LIVE!!

Here are Luke and Lauren on the balcony- such a great view!
That view is gorgeous! It would be hard to leave me room if I could look at that all day!

AAAHHHHHH!! Creepy clown slide!!!! I'm sorry, that thing freaks me out a wee bit!! But the kids look adorable!

Do these guys look like best bud’s or what!?
::yes::
It was great for us to have adult company and for the kids to be occupied playing with friends, WONDERFUL!!!
I can imagine how amazing that was!! It's always better when there are friends, both adult and kids! So happy for you all!
When we went up to the room Matthew was VERY sweet and gave Lauren his stuffed dog he had won earlier during the Boardwalk games. It was SO sweet and I can’t tell you how much it meant to Lauren, she STILL sleeps with it every night
Awwwwwwww How adorable!

It was a great time, we saw the Hollywood Studio’s and Magic Kingdom fireworks in the distance and WITHOUT crowds which was a huge plus. We had a great night. We were going to stay for the closer Epcot fireworks but Luke had a headache and began feeling “yucky” so we headed out. I felt bad at first but Diane said she had a headache too so it made me feel better.

Sorry Luke and Diane weren't feeling too well, but it sounds like you had a perfect night to remember.

What a great 4th of July!! It's so much fun reading yours and Dianes trip reports when you spend time together!! Are you going to do joint pre-trip and trip reports on your joint trip next year? That would be a LOT of fun!!!

ESPN is a great place for sports fans. Do you have one close to your home. It is a fun destination to watch NFL games, so many TV's and games at the same time.
Looks like you found a perfect spot to watch the fireworks too. Sounds like you managed to enjoy yourselves while avoiding the Holiday crowds. Smart touring plan.

Just want to tell you that I am loving your trip report, only on pg 20. You posted soooo many pictures its great! Love the your humor! And your daughter has the most beautiful smile! I don't know if you are done but I hope not!:goodvibes

Wow me again but one day later! I am all caught up! Yeah! Can't wait for more your report is fun and interesting. You make a good ad for DVC! Write more soon!

OKAY!!! All caught up now!! Your 3rd and 4th sound like they were top notch! And I can't agree more with the PP regarding how much fun it must be to spend so many days with a family you just met over the DIS and hit it off so nicely!! HOW great is that!! We were there braving the crowd on the 3rd at the MK, btw... it was crowded, but I had to do it! :) and we must have arrived earlier than you all did, because we had staked out a spot in front of the castle while it was still light out... we also were at Epcot for the 4th, it was crowded, but somehow not as bad as the night before at MK so I am sure that was a zoo on the 4th!!! Can't wait to hear more about your final days -- hope the start of school is going along alright!! Ours opens tomorrow with students!!! :scared1:

Luke looks so cute catching rays in the chair!! That is so funny! Glad you guys had a great and RELAXING 4th! The kids seemed to have a wonderful time with their new friends!

Hi Lesley! All caught up from our vacation to Calif and Vegas. We had one very hot day at DL and saw Lion King in Vegas! - it was fun to read your update! I love how you spent the 4th - sounds perfect!:thumbsup2 I didn't realize you could see so many fireworks from BW!

Looks like a fantastic 4th! You did a great job avoiding the mega crowds!! ESPN Club looks cool - I've never been there. TV's in the restroom are cool- never miss a moment of the game! :thumbsup2

Hi Lesley:wave:
Great Update..what a great way to spend the 4th!

I can't believe how empty the pool was...awesome! My DD is creeped out by clowns..I wonder how she would take to the slide. It looks like tons of fun though!:cool1:

My DS really wants to go to ESPN club, you see he LOVES sports..any sport...all sports. The bathroom could be very scary...he may never come out:lmao:. I hope we can fit it in during our upcoming trip..it would make him so very happy:woohoo:!
Do you know if they take the DDP there?

Your kids are so cute...looks like they had a wonderful day.
They look very happy!:cutie:
Looking forward to more...popcorn::

Hey guys. As most of you know I am a full time special education teacher, the school year is in full swing now and let's just say I'm VERY overwhelmed. I've been going in early, staying late and doing stuff on the weekends. I also teach University courses online so time for updating is at a minimum right now. Tim will probably be doing the next few updates, hope that works for all of you. I appreciate the "following" we have developed over the years here on Disboards and appreciate each of you for reading and posting and am glad you enjoy the report. I promise it will be finished but maybe not by me this year. So stay on the lookout for an update from Tim and then if time allows I may wrap it up, we shall see. ..... thanks for your patience...........
Lesley

Hi Lesley and family, I just started reading your TR but have really enjoyed your story. Thanks for allowing me (and all of us) to share in your fun days at Disney. If you and Tim are able to finish that is wonderful, but if not I for one am greatful you were able to share thus far! Thank you! :cheer2:

Love both yours and Tims writing styles, so it will be a lot of fun either way!! Good luck on things getting more sane for you as the school year progresses!!

I, too, am a special ed teacher and I always wondered how you had the time to respond to everyone! I can't even check every day during the school year! Don't worry about the report, focus on family and school!

It will get better. I always felt so overwhelmed at the beginning of every new school year. And I never had as much on my plate as you. When I taught, that was all I did (no kids of my own then, no second job, etc). So I can imagine how overloaded you feel. I think the first few weeks of school are very stressful anyway. You have to get back in the routine and get comfortable with everyone all over again. But don't worry about us. I'm sure life is crazy for most dissers right now. Most of us have kids going back to school and routines changing as well. And there are lots of teachers on here too who know first hand how you feel. So take some time to get back in the groove and we will all still be here when you get back!;)
