Been out of the loop for a bit.........wow PoP pricing for 2020 is........well the Skyliner has an impact

Hi folks,

Been off the boards for a bit so I'm abit out of the loop. I was looking at 2020 pricing for August at PoP Century..........Wow! All the rooms are over $200/night. So I guess PoP is a psuedo moderate resort.....at least as far of pricing. Hope there are discounts next year

For my dates POP is $197, AoA is $241 and Coronado (a moderate) is $237. Even Caribbean Beach is $253. All for the standard view rooms without tax.

PoP and AoA are pseudo Mods now...…..because of Skyliner. I paid $172 for preferred room two weeks ago......

Disney has been jacking up rates a whole bunch the last 2 or 3 years at Pop. They also were a little sneaky and they also hiked the prices of more days of the week and created more seasonal "categories" which gave them even more room to reduce the number of cheap nights in a year. And yes..........Pop is now way more than AllStars.

You really need to check your dates and rates carefully. What I’ve noticed is that the standard rates at CSR next August fluctuate by $36 per night, while the standard rates at Pop fluctuate by $77 per night.

CSR rates $233 -$269
Pop rates $154 - $221

So depending on your dates, you might find that rates at CSR are still close to $100 per night difference once you include tax.

May I ask where are you getting the rates from? I have only been able to find 2019 rates. I want to take a WDW trip next year, but the prices may prohibit me from doing that.

Go to the WDW website and plug in your dates and resort.

Once you get to the selection where it says standard, preferred, pool view price, etc.....
Click under the price where it says, “rate details”

Under rate details, click “view rate calendar”

You’ll be able to see the rack rate prices through til the end of 2020 for each room category.
