Dave: I don't know why I thought Erica had her surgery already. Probably conflated it with Robert's. She must be very frustrated right now to be sidelined just as the weather gets nice.

I do hope it goes well & she recovers quickly--is 4 weeks a long time for such surgery? I just know that you'll be beside her every moment you can be.
Good job on the veggie omelet eating and w/o the sausage--now, that's my kind of breakfast! I have to admit, though, that I ate vegetarian sausage links today! Mmmmm.
As for
Run Fatboy Run (got my spelling right now!), I know several WISHers liked it. But here's where my critical personality comes in--that thing that my ILs see as negative.

I didn't like the movie very much, nor did DOOD. The best I can say is that it was cute, but very sitcomy & predictable; still, neither of us will remember much about it in a couple of weeks. And, for my money, there wasn't enough running in it. And remember that I see dozens of films a year--I'm not exaggerating--between movie theaters, film festivals, conferences, my Netflix queue and my iPod at the gym--so I'm not exactly an average movie-going audience. I have a feeling that most people don't look at movies the same way I do. So to be fair, I think most people, especially runners, would find it an enjoyable flick.
Mike: Woo hoo for burning off the afternoon, beer-induced sleepies with elliptical time. Especially because I know how much you love the elliptical!

I hope you find that laundry room soon! Oh, and how's the Swan; I hope to hear reports on it when you return.
Jeanne: I, too, look on couples who race together with envy (also happiness, as I know you do). I see those pictures of couples crossing the finish line together, holding hands, and I think, "Awwwww." And then I think I'd be too sweaty to want to touch even DOOD's hand. Ewwww.

I'm really glad you and Nancy have found good race partners in each other--although I am surprised you don't train together, I don't know why. What, pray tell, do you find to talk about on race day? (I don't think I have the brains to carry on a conversation at such times.)
Vic: Sorry to hear about the pollen, and hope it doesn't affect you too badly. That 3.5 miles isn't too shabby, though.

I don't know about Mike, but I'll have a beer in your name when I'm at WDW. (Or maybe some spirits--I can't drink beer.)
Connie: Yay, you're back! I'm so glad your BodyBugg seems to be doing what it's supposed to. I'm not quite as happy to know Lisa's information was correct (not that I doubted her, but you know what I mean). And your pound a week is great news!

I hope you'll have time to tell us more about how the bugg works.
Beth: 10 miles, and with your back stiff. Wow. I would imagine that your profession makes you susceptible to back injuries. I hope you're not feeling too sore right now and it doesn't interfere with your training. And you're eating well--going into your week strong.
Shan: First,
congratulations on the 1/2 marathon. I'll check out your other threads to see if you posted details, but I just know you did well.

As for the eating, c'mon! I think you deserve a little feasting to commemorate the occasion. Tomorrow, though, it's back to training--right?
As for me: DOOD didn't go with me to the gym today, as he went out running (unplanned day) with a university colleague who's recovering from an injury. So while I was at yoga, etc., he was running in Frick Park on a beautiful sunny day. (I took a walk later on.) I have to admit, it was weird that DOOD agreed to run with his colleague, because his colleague's current pace is no faster than mine--and DOOD won't run with me even in training.

I don't know that I want him to, either, but it's strange.
In other news, tomorrow is weigh-in day & I'll be curious to see what happens. I've increased my calorie intake a few hundred calories each day (carbs & proteins) to jive with this book I'm reading. I want to see if 1) it's more accurate for my needs than SP; 2) if it addresses my daily energy level and, on running days, my fatigue; and 3) still allows me a comparable weight loss. Now, since I've only been losing 1-1.5 pounds every OTHER week, and this week would be a no-loss week, it'll be hard to tell. But I figure if I don't gain anything, I'll stick with the plan for another couple of weeks. Btw, I hope to post more information from the book when I get a chance.
