Beach Towel Special

The last Disney cruise we took was in 2014 and on the last night of the cruise, we were buying souvenirs and we were given the option of buying a DCL beach towel for a discounted price. It has become one of our favorite beach towels and I am hoping we will have the opportunity to buy another one on our next cruise. Can anyone tell me if the stores on board the ship still offer such special and is it usually on the last night of the cruise only? On that sailing, we bought a few souvenirs earlier in the week and the offer to buy the towel was never made, not sure if you had to make a minimum purchase or not, but we did take advantage of the purchase at the time and hope to again!

We were on the Wonder at the end of April and the special offer was a Star Wars backpack. It was available the duration of the cruise and you had to spend a certain amount and then could buy the backpack for a certain amount.

The past year or so there have been a few purchases with purchase available. I have seen backpacks, throws, and yes, a towel. Also, collector pins for those pin traders that are really cool.
My husband has both anchor pin collections and also the life preserver collection. He loves his pins.

I love the spend a certain amount, get an item deal. I think we always get it. We got a rolling duffel bag, towels, throws. We always seem to spend enough. LOL

It seems like in my past few cruises, that this kind of a purchase with purchase is offered through the length of the cruise. I cannot recall specifically if a beach towel was ever one of the offerings, but I would not be at all surprised to see some kind of a special.

I think it was a Star wars backpack purchase with purchase at the end of May/beginning of June.
But I wasn't interested in that as much as I was about the the D and B purses they had. So I could be off a bit.

On the Fantasy earlier this month the purchase special was a faux leather backpack with the DCL logo. It looked very similar to the Castaway Club gift they're giving for the Med cruises right now. I was not tempted at all ... I would've liked a new towel.
