There is newly created thread with some Fabulous picture and great info.

go to the stickys on the resort home page, click WDW Resort FAQ and info, then click on the Sailing to the Yacht and Beach Club thread. (If I only knew how to properly paste a link, life would be sooooo much easier).

Have a great time :goodvibes

We were Beach Club first timers this summer!!

If you have kids, just a warning to let you know that they sell 5 different types of Super Soakers at the poolside gift shop. I had not known that. I ended up buying two...one for DS9 & another for DH. It pained me because I had 2 brand new ones (not even opened yet!) back home in our garage.

I had known we could bring our own tubes though. I brought some 36 inch ones I'd gotten at Target. They do rent them out there though.

Have fun!! I'm jealous!!

Thanks for the advice - will take our own! The tubes - is there somewhere to blow them up? Do they have any rules around size etc?

We just stayed at the YC a few weeks ago and LOVED IT! Great restaurants, awesome theming and fantastic rooms. We sat by the pool, had a drink at Hurricane Hannahs and played ping pong at night. The location is the best!

I did not see anyplace to blow them up, although there could be.
DH had brought a pump that plugs into our Denali, & he did it that way.

I did not see anything stating a limited size...most everyone that had their own tubes seemed to have about the same size that we did (36 inches).

They do allow noodles too.

Good info. That is a great thread, thank you:thumbsup2

Mmmm... the BC!!! Stayed there for a week in June and Loved, Loved, Loved it!! The best part was location and atmosphere, although the whole place is just absolutely wonderful!! We requested a room close to Epcot and was close enough to open the glass door and hear the music from Epcot. It took less than 5 minutes from our room to get through the entrance to Epcot. My teenagers Loved it too! It wasn't somewhere that I was worried about them and there was plenty there for them to do. (PS. the Cape May Breakfast buffett was my DH and DD's favorite meal! We did that one several times.)

Have a great time!!

I will be staying my first time at the BC as well, I cant wait, i have visited it many times before and i just love it, especially its location!!!:thumbsup2

Do the pool tubes have to be clear??

I don't know for sure.

I had one with a pink tint & one with a green tint.
They were transparent (could see thru them).

The ones they have for rent are like that too.

Hey! We'll be arriving there in 35 days, too! I have to admit BC isn't my favorite - I prefer BWI or GF, but it's still plenty nice. My son LOVES BC and this trip is for him, so there you go. I hope it's warm enough to swim!

We paid our trip off, too and I'm working on the itinerary now so I can call about dining. Hopefully I won't have too much trouble getting good ressies.

See you there! :woohoo:

ETA - I must be miscounting, cause we're there 9-15 Dec...so 36 days to go!

While you're at the Beach Club (my recommendation to ANYONE going there!), be sure to MAKE THE TIME to meet and talk to Art, the Greeter, or as my wife & I think of him, the Grand Admiral of the Beach Club. He is a WONDERFUL man who truly makes everyone feel special. For more information about him, check out this thread here: http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1454184 You WON'T regret it!

Enjoy the Magic!

Thank you so much for the link!! I didn't know about this thread and Art was such a wonderful part of our stay at BC that I definitely wanted to post our well wishes to him.

You bet.. see you there! And good luck on the ressies. The only problem I had was finding the Fantasmic dining package at MGM. I have called back several times and nothing is available for our whole trip, any time or place. I wonder if it is going to be that crowded. I had a hard time deciding on the BWI or BC. But like you said, the boys liked the pool better at the BC, We can't wait!!
