Just booked the Beach Club Villas for our first Christmas in Disney!!!

We are so excited!!

So BCV vets.. what do we have to look forward to???

We spent Christmas & New Year's 2008 at BCV - it was SO great!

Here's some fun things we did:
  • Lots of time in Epcot for Candlelight Processional and seeing all the Holidays Around the World storytellers in each country.
  • Toured all the deluxe resorts to see the Christmas decorations - the Boardwalk has great decorations.
  • Saw Santa and holiday Mickey/Minnie in the lobby on Christmas Eve.
  • Watched the barbershop quartet in the BC lobby, also on Christmas Eve.
  • Watched the Christmas parade in the Magic Kingdom.
  • Watched the DHS NYE fireworks from the walkway between Boardwalk and DHS (was too crowded in the park for us at that point of the night, but up until that point was very fun)!
  • Watched the NYE fireworks at MK on December 30th (the preview).
  • Saw Holiday Illuminations from the Breathless II (highly recommended).
  • Had a wonderful room service breakfast on Christmas while the kids opened presents.
  • Did the campfire/marshmallow roast on the beach at BC.
  • And so much more, I can hardly remember - there were parks in there almost every day too! :santa:

You will have such a great time - I'm jealous!

Wow, that sounds amazing! Can't begin to tell you how excited we are!!! My wife has always talked about Christmas in Disney.. now thanks to our DVC it is finally going to happen!!!

Don't miss the Candlelight Processional, Christmas Around the World or the Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights. Believe it or not - the first time I went to the parks when it wasn't the Christmas Holiday season - I felt I was missing out :confused3but I'm used to it now. I just make sure I'm there every Nov/Dec to enjoy it all again and again, although I have yet to be there for December 25th. Also check out the Wilderness Lodge decorations as this is when the resort really shines - I think it was "built" for Christmas. We love to walk on the nature trail from the WL to the Fort Wilderness campgrounds too as people really spend alot of time and $ decorating their RV sites. You'd think they were competing with Disney too. Have a great Christmas at Disney :santa:!!

One year they had a gingerbread decorating class for the kids.

We really enjoyed it... Stephan taught it (he does the horse carosel in the BC lobby).

Goldilocks

There is a Holiday Tour, Yultide Fantasy Tour, excellant, check it out. We really enjoyed the tour. We are booked for 15 days in Dec and plan to take it again.

All of this sounds fantastic! Thanks for all the info! I'm writing it all down :surfweb:

Am I right in assuming that you just booked BCV at such a late date over the Christmas holidays? Wow! Congratulations!

Believe it or not I was able to get 12/23-12/30 in a BCV studio when I called MS yesterday. One of the nights is on cash through MS, but it is all linked together...Last 2 nights are at AKV Kidani Sav view studio also on Member cash...:)will try to get the last 2 nights BCV studio.

Sorry.. just posted again on this one the other day.. didn't mean to give "false hopes" to anyone.

Go into the BC lobby and inhale to smell this all-chocolate beauty. And look for the hidden Mickeys-

OH WOW!!!! Those are some FANTASTIC PICS!!!! I think I just gained 10 lbs just looking at them! LOL...

Thank you so much!

Thanks Bob! We've heard about it as well. We have a list of things that we want to do.. that one is on the list!!! Can't wait!

Hi Coach; We'll be checking in on 12/27 thru 1/02. This will be our first Christmas week visit as well, and I'm a little stressed about the crowds. I thought we had a handle on crowds with summer visits, but now I'm not sure:confused3 I keep telling my family not to have any expectations and just be there for the scenary change that's not there other times of the year... if we get on two big rides a day, we can call that a successful day!:thumbsup2
