we stayed at BLT in Oct 2018 in a Lake view studio. I can't remember the exact room request we used but I think it included 'north side building, high floor, outer rim'. We ended up with a nice view of MK from the balcony. Looking out from the room was the water but stepping onto the balcony and looking slightly left was a great MK view.

The only DVC resort with connecting studios (door between them) is PVB where almost all studios there connect but that’s because the long houses are all studios. Every other resort any connecting rooms would be 1 beds and studios (which you’d book as a 2 bed lockoff).

the technical rule is the member (member card required, white or blue) and any guests on their reservation. Though during slow times they allow (don’t verify room guests) others to come up with the member as long as it is reasonable.
