Going in a few weeks and been a while since I've been. As they say in Aladin.....its a whole new world (I still remember using E tickets, FP, Magic bracelets and now this....)

So Genie+ is $15/pp/pd on top of the individual park pass.
ILL$ is an additional varied fee on 8 more popular rides not included in G+

Are all of these rides ( especially the ILL$) rides simply available ( like everything else) standby? If you go at the earliest rope drop ( or half hour earlier for disney hotel guests) to any of these ILL$ rides will you have a crazy wait considering anyone who paid the ILL$ fee was already booked at 7A? Is it worth paying an additional ILL$ fee? Only new stuff since our last visit are Remy and Star wars stuff so they are our priority. Why cant we just go there first on the days we are in those parks and not pay even more? Also is Remy open in the EMH for EP and why wouldn't we just do it then when non disney hotel guest have to leave.?

I am also interested in the answers to all of the same questions. Researching Genie+ etc. now, and dreading using it in April.

Everything is available standby. The earliest G+ and ILL$ reservations are at official park open, so if you are eligible for (which includes some non-Disney hotels as well as the Disney-owned ones) and attend early theme park entry, there will be a half hour before people who bought G+ and ILL$ get priority over you. Getting there first on the days you go to early entry is the trick. There are a lot of people eligible for early entry who will be trying to do the same thing. There are no G+ or ILL$ for extended evening either. Remy is part of both the early theme park entry lineup and the extended evening theme park lineup. Extended evening has a narrower list of eligible hotels and does not include Disney moderate and value resorts. There are Disboards threads for Everything Early Theme Park Entry and Deluxe Extra Nighttime Hours that you might want to look at.

As noted, they are all available as Standby. If you can be there for early entry, that can work. IF you are near the front. Rides like FoP and RoTR fill very quickly at Early Entry and you could easily have a 30-40 minute wait if you are far back in the crowd entering the park.
Unless you want to do ILL$, your best option usually is Early Entry or right before close.

Just tacking onto this - there is no ride inside the Disney parks at WDW which you MUST pay extra to ride. Every ride still has a free stand-by line.

Only Food, merchandise, and special experiences (such as Savi's and Droid Workshop) are things that you have to pay to experience.

As an example of needing to arrive early, last Sunday ETPE started at 9:30 for resort guests. We arrived at Pop's Skyliner station at 8:05 (85 mins before ETPE) but were still not off the ride until a little after 10:00AM due to the time each step took to line up and ride Skyliner, go through security, enter park, walk to Remy, line up with all the other ETPE guests and then ride.
