Is it just me, or are other people getting annoyed at the people trying to find a bargain?
Renting DVC points at $10 per point is a great deal. Trying to wiggle a 20-30% discount to $7 or $8 is ludicrous unless the points are about to expire.
How is $10 a bargain?
To book a 2BR at VWL for 5/15 to 5/22 would require 314 points. At $10 per point this is $3140.
To book the exact same reservation through Disney would be $5229.42.
DVC points saved you over $2000 or 40% of Disneys price. How much more of a "deal" would you like?
I am offended when people offer me $7-8 for something which is worth $16.65 (5229/314=$16.65). I and other owners have spent a good amount of money on my DVC membership and pay my annual dues on top of that.
Please do not insult DVC owners by trying to beat us up on price. DVC is as comparable to All Star Resorts as The Ritz is to Motel 6. DVC are among the best accomodations available at Disney. The Shower at VWL is larger enough have a small party and the master suite has a jacuzzi tub. Please keep this in mind when you offer to rent points.
I am sorry, needed to vent. I will get off my soapbox.
(the above not withstanding, I gave had good success in renting points and do not mind providing a great bargain for other fans of Disney. I just hate getting beat up for a lower price)
