banking question for transfered points....

I know that transferred points can be banked. But can all the points be banked or just a percentage based on the banking schedule? If I have June points transferred to my account now, can I still bank all the points? Or just 75% of the points?

I think I just had your question answered by Member Services. I was told on two separate occasions, with confirmation from the MS Manager that transferred points did not follow regular banking timeframes and limits.

The percentage limit applies to your annual allotment of points -- not the banked points. And the transferred points have up to the end of your use year in which they can still be banked (and not lose any).

For example, I have a June use year with an annual allotment of 250. I have until Feb. 28 to bank 50% or 125 of my annual allotment. However, if I have transferred points, I would have until May 31 (the end of my use year)to bank them and could bank all of them at that time.

Another person discovered this in talking with Lola at MS, who consulted with the manager. I called back later, talked to Tiffany, who also confirmed this with the manager.

I did happen to get a transfer from someone with my exact use year and resort, but don't think this makes a difference at this point since transferred points are not usually tracked that closely.

If someone knows different, I would appreciate more discussion.
