Does anyone have suggestions on good walking sandles for someone that has a bad knee?

I have no sandal suggestions because I am a firm believer in super supportive shoes so I always wear sneakers. I got fitted at a running store and my shoes fit like a glove!!!

You're looking for a sport sandal.

I went to geology field camp with a girl who wore Teva sandals for everything. She hiked everywhere in those things.

Another vote for Teva's........

My DH wore his out and before our Aug trip he and I will be buying another pair. Another good thing - you can also wear these on the water rides and they'll dry out without bothering you and your feet.

He too has hiked in his and walked and walked in them. They are a bit pricey but worth it.

Good Luck!

I'd like to order some Teva's on line as I can't find a local store that carries them. Do they run true to your normal shoe size?

I have always had good luck with Birkenstocks or Mickey crocs.

If you have bad knees or foot problems, crocs are a bad idea. They not good for your feet if you're wearing them for extended walking. They don't have enough support.

Birkenstocks have good support, but if you buy some you should give yourself time to get used to them. The people I know who wore them in college found them uncomfortable for a few days before they were used to wearing them.

I have osteoarthritis in my knees and the best sandals that I have found are by Merrel. I wear the Merrell Bahia or Merrell Senise. The support is wonderful. They hav been better than wearing any sneakers

I have a bad knee (or sometimes knees) and I usually wear good walking or running shoes. I bring a good knee brace along and that helps more than the shoes do. I also bring an ice pack in case I need it at night. Good luck!

I have a job where I walk or stand all day, I found some shoes one year that really helped with my back and leg pain they were by Ariat, they do shoes, clogs and sandals, they are so comfortable I don't even have to "wear them in" the heel is a comfortable height and they have good support. If I wear sneakers I usually have foot pain within a few hours.
