I am writing a more detailed trip report that had all of the stuff I experienced on the VMK tour (I kind of did it twice, once fully and one halfway) and how I got all of the quests.
Here it in in a nutshell.
I was able to get the quests using my MNSSHP tickets each night. The VMK store closed when the park closed so you had to do it earlier. ******THE TICKETS DID NOT HAVE TO BE ACTIVATED meaning that you could do it before 4pm when they were valid. I also was able to use my Moms one day ticket that was not activated for the MK. I went in with my annual pass and her ticket that she used that day at Epcot and use it to get a set.
The just want a park ticket to scan they do not seem to be looking at anything except if that ticket has been used for a set of quests in that last 30 days.
Only one looked at my answers. The others didn't check them. I didn't have to bring the person with me to get the quests, just the ticket.
I was able to get:
15 sets of quests
5 sets of HM
30 Wanted Posters
13 Gold Ears
9 Red Penny Presses
and I made 21 characters for the black ears
Most of the cards I just asked for and only once was I refused. I did buy the ears, candy and picture at one point during the week.
Most of the VMK people are misunformed about the game. They just happen to work in the booth and all the worry about is if you have a ticket and no one seemed to care that every day I got up to three sets of quests as long as I had the tickets.
I really expected it to me more strict.
I had a lot more experiences. I met some Dis people that was awesome and had an amazing vacation. I go to Disney more than once a year but this was easily the best vacation. My daughter is almost 5 and this seemed to be the perfect age to take her. The trip report is coming. I am working on it this weekend and I will edit out the VMK stuff and post it here.
