I just reserved Baby's First Haircut at the MK for December 8th! I didn't realize this could be booked at 180 days like dining. I said anytime on the 8th and she said they only had 9 am available. Wow...I'm so glad I read a thread about it today otherwise I wouldn't have known to call. It's early EMH so it should be a nice morning of riding Dumbo maybe then going for her haircut. :lovestruc

It's a fun experience doing the first haircut at the Magic Kingdom. We had my DD done last September and there were no tears and she got the first haircut Mickey ears. I love that she'll be able to say that she got her first haircut in Disney World.

We did that in January with our DD - it wasn't completely necessary (she didn't have all that much hair), but I wanted her first haircut in WDW!

You'll have fun, and great memories!

YAY! That is going to be amazing. I made my mine a few weeks ago for my ds. He will be 20 months when we go and his hair is getting very unruley! I told my dh that it will be well worth it for sure!

We also had my DS's first haircut in Disney. If you look at my signature, you can see a couple of the photos. It is wonderful and they give you a pair of Mickey ears that say "first haircut" on them. We will definitely be getting my DS's haircut there again when we go this Nov. also. I just wish Disneyland had something similar.

We also got DS's first haircut at Disney on our last trip. The stylists were AWESOME and I couldn't recommend it any higher. My DS can be very strong willed, and I thought that there was no way he would sit still, but they were just great with him! Now I'm going to have one heck of a time finding a place half as good around here to get his hair cut!

My son (19 months) just got his second haircut at a Cartoon Cuts and my husband and I both agreed: "That was no Disney." I am so glad my son got his first haircut at Disney World. Agree with previous posters that the stylists are great. There were no tears. We got fabulous photos, plus with all the keepsakes I am making a memory book. Just a word of caution: Even with a reservation you might have to wait. There were a lot of kids waiting for their cuts when we were there in January.

We are taking our DS for his first trip in November, and I would LOVE to do this. Can someone post or point me in the direction of the number for the barber shop?

It's the number you call for dining.... We had our daughter's hair cut in May when we were there and it was AMAZING! It was the best $18.00 I think we've ever spent at Disney World.

i cant wait to do this to my younger ones! my DD will be 2 and my DS will be 15 months. :goodvibes like i put in the other post, my DD needs one now lol but im holding out and just putting her hair up. she looks super cute when i put it up anyway so no biggie! :lmao:

I called 407-939-7529. You need to give a CC guarantee. It has a 24 hour cancellation policy.

We have never cut one hair on her little head and my friends think I'm nuts! :rotfl: She will be 2 and I can't wait! I hope she sits still for the stylist. princess:

So I'm not the only one waiting to cut that hair! yayyy :rotfl2:

Usually it's in a little pony tail on top that my friends call the "water fall"! For Hersheypark the other day we added a bow which I thought was cute. By the time we go to WDW in December her bangs will be down to her chin I think :lmao:

LOL I had DS's first hair cut at Disney when he was 18 months old... Everyone we met in the first 2 days before we had it done thought he was a girl. It wasn't until we got home and looked at the photos that I realised quite how long and curly it had become! They were so good with him, and I'm really glad we did it!

We didn't book btw, we just called in early one morning and waited our turn! (was January though so not busy time)

I'm definitely doing this. My dd is 10 months old now. We went to WDW last month and my DH told me to go ahead and do it, but she hardly has any hair so I refused. We are planning a trip for next November (2013). My daughter will be 28 months but I refuse to cut her hair until then.

I'm hoping to do the same with my son :thumbsup2 He will be 30 months for our next planned trip (September/October 2012). I'm sure we'll get some interesting comments when his hair gets long! We'll just have to be "those crazy Disney people" :goodvibes
