punkin413 - I heard the neighbors whispering to each other from all the way up here about how nice the yard is looking. It sounded something like, "Finally, those people ...." and some other things.
Naah, not really. I heard the whispers, but they were kind.
You think this week will be slow, but it will probably fly by, because you will be running over in your mind a thousand last details. Next week, you will be in
DISNEY WORLD with your sweet hubby having the time of your life.
Lucky girl!
If you think commenting on comments constitutes an update, you are sadly mistaken young lady!
lets go update update update! its the weekend!
I've spent the night in time out for my grave error. I hope the following qualifies as a real update.
It has pictures and everything!
So, on Day 2, we opened Epcot. I forgot to mention that as soon as we got in, Jill did the Soarin' trot with the crowd and got Fastpasses, while the two less young ladies and the baby stayed back at the ball to wait.
Brooklynn made friends with the CM at SSE while we were waiting. She kept pointing up and saying, "At-cot," which the CM thought was fairly adorable.
Anyway, Jill came back with Fastpasses, and to refresh your memory, we rode this,
Brooklynn looked like this,
we had our heads put on things like this,
and now we're back to where we last left you.
The Florida sky looked like this, by the way.
Random pictures.
Can you find Brooklynn? She's leading the way!
Kay and Jill went to ride Test Track.
Brooklynn and I hung out at the gift shop. Then we went in to see all the cars, and she climbed in and out of a few while we waited.
We decided to go see some old friends.
In Disney language, we were going to make a magical connection.
I just love the Minnie always is with Brooklynn. She's always so sweet and gentle. I don't know if we've just gotten really lucky with all of the Minnies we've had or if that sweetness is part of the Minnie training program. Whatever it is, I am always just captured by the way Minnie has interacted with Brooklynn in every park at any time of day.
Chip and Dale were ADHD. They were very active. I think it was a little disconcerting to Brooklynn.
We didn't do Photopass pictures this time, and I'm sorry about that, because I now wish I had a good picture of Brooklynn and Minnie.
Now it was time for my favorite - SOARIN'!!!
Note that I wrote that in
sky blue! Because that's where we were going. Into the
sky!!!
Kay has been hang gliding for real, so I wasn't sure if she would think it was as awesome as I do, but she liked it. She and I rode, and then later in the day, with our babyswap pass, Jill and Kay rode.
Kay liked it a lot, and it was after that that she started talking about bringing her whole family for a Disney vacation.
We started figuring the cost for her and her husband, her four grown children and two spouses, and two grandchildren.
She said, "Yikes!" or something equivalent to that as we did the figuring.
I snapped pictures along the way in Soarin', just to see what they'd do. I had the camera in my lap, and I just snapped here and there.
That came out quite interesting. Seasoned veterans will know exactly where you are on the ride. If you've never ridden Soarin', you'll have no idea what is happening.
After Soarin', it was time for nutrition.
Or lack of nutrition, but just plain old sweet goodness.
Next up: Living with the Land.
