Baby and the Tramp...and a Pop (half) Century! Where Did It Go???

Only 2 more months. :dance3: You are so blessed. I am either going in May or November of next year. It seems so long away, but I do like to live vicarously (sp?) through you and all the other trip reports I read. I think the same thing as you regarding LPBW. I do enjoy Jon and Kate too. Have a great day and if you are teaching today hope they aren't to much trouble for you. My mom was a teacher for many years and I know from her how challenging it can be. I work in daycare so I get them before they go to school.

Thanks for pimp MeMom!! I can't wait to be back at Pop!

Did you ever think of getting the pins on eBay?? I just spent $10 on a lot of 10 official disney pins. 5 are for me and 5 for David, this way we'll have them to trade, which if you get into it, you'll notice thats the best part! It's more fun scouting for pins you like than walking up to a booth and spending $7 on one! The woman I dealt with was very good and I got the pins in about 3 days from when I won the auction! I haven't seen them yet, but from her feedback I know they are "official" and thats all that matters!

Hi Memom and Jill!

I don't think I've posted a comment before, but I've been reading your trip reports for a few months and I love them all!

Brooklyn is such a sweetie!

My mom and I have a really good relationship, but she does not share in my love for Disney. She's been there and had a good time while she was there, but for some reason, she does not want to go with us on our trips. It makes me a little sad because I wish we could enjoy it together, but I'm making up for it by training my kids to be little Disney lovers with me. We got back from our trip in September, and they still talk about it every single day! I can't wait to take them back again in August.

I just wanted to let you guys know that your reports are great, and I love all of your pictures. Sometimes looking at Disney pictures can turn a bad day into a good one.

Thanks! Can't wait to hear more.

Oh, and I love the safari idea in the backyard. I'm going to do the same thing with my kids as soon as we get some nice days up here.

Thanks for reading along with us. I'm glad you're enjoying it.

Training your kids to be Disney lovers will be a rewarding and easy job! I am so glad Jill and I have this love that we share together. We have a lot of fun with it, and we know how the other one feels when we're watching a parade or feeling that lift on Soarin' or eating a chocolate croissant at Main Street Bakery. Keep inviting your mom, and maybe she'll catch the bug eventually. I'll be glad to teach classes for grandmas on learning to love Disney!

I know what you mean about the pictures. I can just picture myself there in some of them - the sights, smells, and sounds!

Enjoy your safari. We're planning a Three Caballeros meal for this weekend to coincide with the release of the movie and Cinco de Mayo. I like making time and meals at my house fun for Brooklynn. Also, it's an excuse for Jill and I to do something Disney! :)

TCKK - Isn't there something just so happy about POP pictures?

Scott - Have fun tomorrow night. I wish we could be there with you guys. We'll be on the phone. Help the girls pick out something nice for me! You guys could youtube your shopping trip, and I could watch it.

3princesses+aprince - Thanks. We think she's a cutie, too. Jill called and said she got a front tooth cracked today. Another child (accidentally, I think) hit her with a toy.

Lovemy3babes - You have got to make time for World Showcase. There are movies, rides, Chinese acrobats that are amazing, street players, food, and SHOPPING!

I'd be happy to give you a guided tour. I'll take any excuse to go!

pooh'smate - You and your mom know the lives that Jill and I lead then. Stressful. Taking care of kids is not an easy task, like some might think. There's so much liability, for one thing. Some parents are supportive, but many are not.

Example: This morning, a mother showed up at my door. She wanted to fly into one of my other students (T) who had accused her daughter (C) of taking something that belonged to her. The mother was pitching a fit and wanted T and her mother. Supposedly T had threatened C with bringing her mother to school, so C's mother wanted to be there to "tear it up" with T's mother. Mind you, this was over a Hannah Montana spiral notebook that probably cost less than two dollars. The assistant principal had heard she was coming down the hall mad, so she came in. We both tried to explain to her that her daughter did have a reputation for taking things, she had told other kids she had it, and after she brought it back, I personally did see that she had written her name in the front cover. The mother didn't calm down, and not only that, she took her daughter home and said she wouldn't be back! Unbelievable! No wonder our kids have no coping skills.

Nicole - I may try ebay. You guys have a great time tomorrow!

Now guys, if you'll excuse us, betsywdw, moparop, and anyone else interested,
let's go shopping!

The Christmas Store, of course.

Were you naughty or nice last year?

disneypics395.jpg

declansdad, scottny - How did you answer that?

What about this year?

Easter stuff and St. Patrick's stuff.

disneypics396.jpg

We ate at Earl of Sandwich. I love their bread. I got the Hawaiian BBQ. It had a little too much sauce for me. I also got a bread pudding. And, yes, that's my water bottle. I go nowhere without my water bottle.
I don't remember what the others got.

Brookie was getting sleepy.

Note that she is standing in the only wet spot around.

More shopping.

Stitch was in an Easter mood.

disneypics412.jpg

Either that, or he was about to egg someone.

Have you ever looked up to see a marionette about to step on your head?

disneypics404.jpg

Off we go to Neverland!

disneypics406.jpg

Isn't this just the cutest stuff?

disneypics407.jpg

Jill played with My Little Ponies when she was little, only she called them ponties. There was a 't' in there for some reason.

disneypics408.jpg

Toys, toys, and more toys.

disneypics409.jpg

Hidden Mickey.

That's it for tonight. I hope everyone is safe and sound at home for the evening. Stop an extra minute to appreciate your house and all of those who help you make it a home. We are a very blessed group of people, even if our refrigerators are about to die and our carpet is old and we need new screens in the windows. We are in so much, much better conditions than many. Have a good evening!

That was another great update Memom. Alexia always loves to sit on my lap while I read your updates because she LOVES the pictures. She always gets so excited when she sees them. I always find it refreshing when you add the little thought on the end of your report.

As much as I would like to answer your question to declansdad, I feel it is in my best interest not to.

Great photos. Love the Tink ornaments, she's my fav!

I am still reading along and loving every single picture! Just so you know! I also watch LPBW and Jon and Kate. Fortunately the episode from 10:30 to 11 pm was a repeat and I could go to bed. Did you see the huge addition? And no money to finish it. That guy is a dreamer and really needs to be kept under wraps however, its not really the wife's job to do this but she tries. Did you see the part where she is ready to leave? Yikes! He really did it this time!!!! Can't wait till next week! We yell and scream at those boys too! Uggggg sleeping late and slugs half the time....grrrrrrrr.:sad2:
I watch J and K +8 to stay sane during the week. I watch what she deals with each week and then I face my relatively simple 3 kids:rotfl:

OK so I love the pics and memories and that Brookie is the cutest...I believe she is half mermaid since she  water so much!!!!

Great pics again MeMom and I have to say the food from Earl of Sandwich looks really good. Of course right now, everything looks good to me as I'm on a diet. 13lbs so far, won't say how much more to go though :rolleyes1

Seriously MeMom I love you read your report and look at your pictures. And Brooklynn is so adorable!!

Hey Mom! I love your souvenier pics! But . . . why no MeMom?

WE WANT MEMOM!!!!!

WE WANT MEMOM!!!

WE WANT MEMOM!!!!

OK so I love the pics and memories and that Brookie is the cutest...I believe she is half mermaid since she  water so much!!!!

Brooklynn definitely is part Ariel. And here is some proof:

While we shopped at Downtown Disney, Brooklynn saw the water and she had to go check it out. So off came her clothes and her big belly and chunky thighs enjoyed the water outside Once Upon a Toy

After playing for about 30 minutes we changed into a dry diaper and dry clothes and she took a nap while we boarded the bus to go to

wait for it...

wait for it...

Brooklynn said hello to our beloved home away from home

disneypics417.jpg

We did some shopping in the gift shop and then headed outside where Brooklynn immediately headed for ....

Everyone say it together...

WATER!!!!

Mom and Kay walked around the resort and took pictures while I sat at the pool and Brooklynn got drenched! Take a look at that booty I do believe it rivals J Lo and Kim Kardashian's!

LOL, you just have to laugh at diapers when they get wet like that. We took Declan into a hotel pool when he was around 2 years old. The problem was we forgot to bring the Little Swimmers. We found out Pampers will absord about 25 pounds of water.

Brooklynn is alot like my dd. They even share the same birth date but my Alexia is a year older. She loves the water like your dd. I love the pics of Brooklynn laying down in the water. So cute.

Nothing is cuter than a little one in nothing but a diaper! Man, if only chubby legs looked that good on me!

And for the record MeMom, I must have been nice this year! I got a new camera and a trip to WDW this summer! :)

Everyone send good thoughts my way today.
This is Field Day.

Oh, what fun, you say!
And fun it should be.
Games of skill. Sportsmanship. Laughter. Families spending time together in harmony.

I will dissect it for you from a teacher's view.

There will be over 650 students plus hundreds of assorted parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, significant others, teachers, workers, etc. invading our campus.

The kids who don't behave do an even worse job when their parents are there to protect them.

Children will slather themselves and others with suncreen all day. They will be too slippery to catch. Two will get sunscreen in their eyes and be blinded for the first two activities.

There will be a semi-broken nose after the sack race.

Three mothers will hover over a child with a skinned knee trying to decide if an ambulance should be called.

The little cherubs are hot, sweaty, dirty, and tired by lunch time. By then, at least one shirt, a boy's, will be ripped.

They have to eat lunch in the room, which means at least one child will tuck a half-eaten burger neatly away into his desk to eat later.
He won't come back for it.

There will be 3.2 spills.
All near the computers.

Two girls will eat alone because they have had their feelings hurt by the class ringleader.

The excluded girls won't realize that they have ten times more things going for them in the areas of academics, personality, behavior, etc. They just know the loudest, most 'mature' one is the leader.
Mature in third grade means the one who can sneak out of the house with the most make-up items that belongs to her mother.

There will be at least two fights among the boys during the day over a hand-held video game.

One item will be stolen within the room.
No one in the class will know anything about it.
It will mysteriously reappear just a little while after the threat is made that we do not leave the room to go to the inflatables until it is found.

Three new shirts will be declared inactive on day one due to snow cone spills.
They will all be stained blue. Blue is the favorite color of snowcone for 14 of 19 children. They all think if they are not first in line, they will not get a sacred blue snowcone.
Chaos ensues.
They are not willing to believe me when I say the snowcone man has a huge bottle of blue syrup behind his cart. There is blue for all.
Some years, I have been known to hold the huge bottle of blue syrup up for them to see.
That eases the tension somewhat.

I could go on, but I have to get ready to go fight this battle.
I meant have this fun.

It really is fun after it's over - when you look back at the pictures and tell the stories.
In the midst of the battle, as is popular saying, not so much.

Have a great Friday!

hmm - maybe I better rethink my plans. I was thinking of volunteering to help at field day at my DD's school. Maybe not now :lmao:
