Hi Memom and Jill!
I don't think I've posted a comment before, but I've been reading your trip reports for a few months and I love them all!
Brooklyn is such a sweetie!
My mom and I have a really good relationship, but she does not share in my love for Disney. She's been there and had a good time while she was there, but for some reason, she does not want to go with us on our trips. It makes me a little sad because I wish we could enjoy it together, but I'm making up for it by training my kids to be little Disney lovers with me. We got back from our trip in September, and they still talk about it every single day! I can't wait to take them back again in August.
I just wanted to let you guys know that your reports are great, and I love all of your pictures. Sometimes looking at Disney pictures can turn a bad day into a good one.
Thanks! Can't wait to hear more.
Oh, and I love the safari idea in the backyard. I'm going to do the same thing with my kids as soon as we get some nice days up here.
Thanks for reading along with us. I'm glad you're enjoying it.
Training your kids to be Disney lovers will be a rewarding and easy job! I am so glad Jill and I have this love that we share together. We have a lot of fun with it, and we know how the other one feels when we're watching a parade or feeling that lift on Soarin' or eating a chocolate croissant at Main Street Bakery. Keep inviting your mom, and maybe she'll catch the bug eventually. I'll be glad to teach classes for grandmas on learning to love Disney!
I know what you mean about the pictures. I can just picture myself there in some of them - the sights, smells, and sounds!
Enjoy your safari. We're planning a Three Caballeros meal for this weekend to coincide with the release of the movie and Cinco de Mayo. I like making time and meals at my house fun for Brooklynn. Also, it's an excuse for Jill and I to do something Disney!
TCKK - Isn't there something just so happy about POP pictures?
Scott - Have fun tomorrow night. I wish we could be there with you guys. We'll be on the phone. Help the girls pick out something nice for me! You guys could
youtube your shopping trip, and I could watch it.

aprince - Thanks. We think she's a cutie, too. Jill called and said she got a front tooth cracked today. Another child (accidentally, I think) hit her with a toy.
Lovemy3babes - You have got to make time for World Showcase. There are movies, rides, Chinese acrobats that are amazing, street players, food, and SHOPPING!
I'd be happy to give you a guided tour. I'll take any excuse to go!
pooh'smate - You and your mom know the lives that Jill and I lead then. Stressful. Taking care of kids is not an easy task, like some might think. There's so much liability, for one thing. Some parents are supportive, but many are not.
Example: This morning, a mother showed up at my door. She wanted to fly into one of my other students (T) who had accused her daughter (C) of taking something that belonged to her. The mother was pitching a fit and wanted T and her mother. Supposedly T had threatened C with bringing her mother to school, so C's mother wanted to be there to "tear it up" with T's mother. Mind you, this was over a Hannah Montana spiral notebook that probably cost less than two dollars. The assistant principal had heard she was coming down the hall mad, so she came in. We both tried to explain to her that her daughter did have a reputation for taking things, she had told other kids she had it, and after she brought it back, I personally did see that she had written her name in the front cover. The mother didn't calm down, and not only that, she took her daughter home and said she wouldn't be back! Unbelievable! No wonder our kids have no coping skills.
Nicole - I may try ebay. You guys have a great time tomorrow!
Now guys, if you'll excuse us,
betsywdw,
moparop, and anyone else interested,
let's go shopping!
The Christmas Store, of course.
Were you naughty or nice last year?
declansdad,
scottny - How did you answer that?
What about this year?
Easter stuff and St. Patrick's stuff.
We ate at Earl of Sandwich. I love their bread. I got the Hawaiian BBQ. It had a little too much sauce for me. I also got a bread pudding. And, yes, that's my water bottle. I go nowhere without my water bottle.
I don't remember what the others got.
Brookie was getting sleepy.
Note that she is standing in the only wet spot around.
More shopping.
Stitch was in an Easter mood.
Either that, or he was about to egg someone.
Have you ever looked up to see a marionette about to step on your head?
Off we go to Neverland!
Isn't this just the cutest stuff?
Jill played with My Little Ponies when she was little, only she called them ponties. There was a 't' in there for some reason.
Toys, toys, and more toys.
Hidden Mickey.
That's it for tonight. I hope everyone is safe and sound at home for the evening. Stop an extra minute to appreciate your house and all of those who help you make it a home. We are a very blessed group of people, even if our refrigerators are about to die and our carpet is old and we need new screens in the windows. We are in so much, much better conditions than many. Have a good evening!
