Baby and the Tramp...and a Pop (half) Century! Where Did It Go???

Here's an addendum, since Nicole must have pictures for installments to count, and because swwake loves possessive pronouns.

disneypics383.jpg

swwake -Do tell. Why do you love possessive pronouns? Are you just as fond of contractions and adverbs? How do you feel about prepositions?
I thought your post was funny. Remember, the educators run in my family - Mom, Sister. I am a grammar freak! And I am fond of contractions, as long as they are not indicative of impending labor. Adverbs are absolutely awesome! And prepositions are fine, as long as they do not come at the end of a sentence.

I am Tivo-ing the TC Disney on a Dime show tonight!

Brooklynn is our little souvenir from our anniversary trip so I guess we will have to add to our souvenir collection soon. Maybe I can convince MeMom to pay for my October trip if I promise her a souvenir

those are the best souvenirs arent they? i think it would be only natural for brooklynn's little brother or sister to also be a souvenir.

After Nemo, we walked over to the Beach Club to take pictures and catch the bus to Downtown Disney.

Epcot was very pretty as it prepared for the Flower and Garden Festival.

We thought of friends to the north as we passed this area.

You could spend a lot of money on pins. They have so many neat ones. I haven't dared to let myself get any yet, because I'm afraid I would spend way too much money. For now, I am okay with taking pictures of them, but sometimes I get too close and they're fuzzy.

Continuing out toward the International Gateway.

And then toward Beach Club.

I took a picture or two inside, but they weren't good, so now we're back outside. To the bus stop.

The Beach Club is very pretty, of course, and we would love to stay there sometime. We've just grown up so frugal that it is hard for us to think that we could stay for three nights at a value and only get one night at something nicer. I want to stay at them all, but I really think we will do that by staying value and adding a night or two at the end at something nicer. That will be the best of both worlds, I think, for us.

We waited quite a while for a bus here. It was more than twenty minutes. We were contemplating changing our plans as to how we were going to get to DTD when one finally arrived.

After the long wait, we did make it.

You can say beauty in the third grade, but if you say booty, you're going to get a reaction. Snickers (not the candy bar kind), aaahhs, etc. Our third graders have pretty much only heard of one concept of that word, unfortunately.

So, if and when I ever spoke of a pirate's finds, I would use the word treasures instead of booty.

I can hear them now.
"Oooohh, teacher said booty!"

I am the EXACT same way with pins. I don't let myself look at them much and I certainly will not buy one. That would lead to me needing to get a second job to pay for the pin habit!

:lmao: So funny about the connotation of booty. When I'm treating some of my kiddos, I try to use the word "bottom" if I'm trying to get them to sit down or do whatever, but sometimes booty slips out. And they, of course, think it's hilarious.

Great updates and pics!!

CUTE!!!

I see you got good pics of the Nemo ride....I had trouble with those :confused3

Meeeeee tooooo, I think, I went shopping one evening and thought the same thing....I can't buy just ONE of these

BOOTY!!
:lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: .....yes I'm in Third grade too ;)

You know I love your BC pics MeMom! You'll have to take lots in June for me!

I'm so worried about the transportation issues that the Beach Club is known to have. You'd think the bus service would be top notch for what you pay a night, it just amazes me.

Yes, We will find out whether the baby is a princess or prince on may 21, that is as long as the baby is willing to cooperate. We can't wait to know what the gender is...this will be our 1st ultrasound so we are really excited about getting to see our baby for the 1st time. Thank you for asking.

I can relate with the pins comment. Declan started trading last summer and I think we spent more money on pins than anything else.

BOOTY!!

:lmao: I get a chuckle out of it too sometimes.

Well this will be my last time posting for awhile. Hope it wont be too long til i get computer access after i move. That way i wont far too behind, i made a memo of where i left off though just in case :rotfl:. I look forward to seeing you (hopefully Jill and Brooklynn too) when we pass thru TN.

:rotfl2: I'm sorry, but that was seriously funny. I must have spent too much of my time hanging out with elementary and middle schoolers because it struck me as seriously funny. The Beach Club looks so cool, I think if I were to go inside I'd never want to leave!

I feel the same way about pins. A far too expensive hobby for me!!

Great updates :goodvibes

I agree about the pins. I look each trip and I'm so scared to start because I just know it will be a bad EXPENSIVE habit to add to my Disney addiction

The booty thing is too :lmao: Thanks for the laugh!

I started your march report, great so far, i'm on page 85, but have to go pick my daughter up from school. I'll be back later for more.:thumbsup2

MeMom, can you believe that I have never been to World Showcase? We didn't make it on our last trip. It looks SO beautiful that I just can't wait to explore there next time. I'm also frugal like you. I keep seeing these pictures of deluxes and I'm in awe. Wilderness Lodge would be my first choice for a deluxe I think. But for a family of 5, I think the ASMu family suites are more up our financial alley if you know what I mean. ;) LOL!

the pics look gorgeous.

I cannot get into the pin trading. I do like looking at them.

Two months from right now, June 28th, we'll be in Disney World!!!
:cheer2:

It sounds like a lot of us like the pins, but are holding out due to the cost and the addiction it would probably become. Jill has started picking up a few here and there. I was thinking I might start off with a couple of my favorite ride pins, Soarin' and Splash Mountain, and just make that the only ones I bought for now. Then again, I think I'd rather have a t-shirt I could wear around and display my Disney fun than just having the pins on a board at home. I'll probably just stick with taking pictures of them. We'll see.

We're hoping to meet up with dancin_princess and VandyFan10 this weekend, if everyone's schedules work out. Jill and John will be in town for a friend's graduation, so we're hoping to work it all out. Our New York pals are meeting for sure up there at World of Disney in the Big Apple.

In celebration of the two month mark, I hope you'll enjoy reliving these two pictures from our arrival day last summer.

This wonderful, wonderful sign we love to see:

Since we didn't have rooms yet, we hung out here for a while. It was such a great feeling to be sitting there after all the waiting we had done. That trip was over a year in the making.

Thanks for going back in time with me. That was a good day, and we're looking forward to another one much like it soon.

Forgive me for not doing individual answers tonight. I've been at a workshop all day, I've got to get some supper going, and this is the only night I watch TV. I like to watch Little People, Big World and Jon and Kate Plus 8. It's the only night I really know what is on TV, but I enjoy both these shows. LPBW gets annoying sometimes, because often some of the kids (usually Jeremy and Zach) can get a little too smart-aleck to their parents, but I keep watching in hopes that the dad is going to buck up one of these days and put them in their place. So far, he's pretty much a pushover, they don't obey him, and to make it worse, they make fun of him.

Have a good evening, all! Keep punkin in mind tonight, as she is down there at WDW hopefully having a great time with her hubby. She'll put up a great report on her return, I know.

Anyone who has not heard Nicole's podcast, go have listen. She did an excellent job!!!

Mark May 21st down for a celebration of k_reile's new prince or princess. Can't wait to find out what the new little Diser will be!

Congratulations to pooksma for finishing her classes with awesome grades! I don't know if I've said that on this report yet.

3princesses+aprince - We're very glad to have you on board! We hope you'll enjoy our craziness and not be too driven away by it!

MeMom thanks for showing those 2 pictures of Pop again. Just a few more months and we'll be there. :woohoo:

2 months u r lucky.

I did here her podcast and it was great. not as good as mine but almost there. :rotfl2: :lmao: no it was great.
