I apologize if I missed this info earlier, but is there a reason you are trying to rent points?? And, even if that's what you really, really want to do, why not just book a room now (or over the summer, or whenever), then that way you'd at least have a 2nd choice. That way, if it falls through for next year, you simply cancel the room and get your deposit back. If it comes together, but you can't get the DVC option you want, at least you have a room already booked. If you are looking at a holiday time, you'd be better off booking something sooner than later.

We want to rent points because it'll be my only chance of staying with my family in the EP resort area. We can't afford it otherwise.

I've considered booking a room now and then going for the points and cancelling.

Still wish DH would just man up and say, "Okay... let's do it."

A very good friend of mine is leaving for WDW in about 6 hours.

I'm so excited for them! I've been helping them plan since last fall and it's finally here!

I'm sending them to Florida with a Hidden Mickey book, my lanyard and pouch, and a handful of information.

Hopefully they'll get to see and do everything they want to do during this next week. My friend knows they can't cover everything but she is heavily armed with info for SWW and contingency plans!

kwit, That's a seriously cool ticker there. Maybe next year we'll get to meet, as this seems to be my family's favorite time of year to go to Disney--school is out, it's warm (I can't stand touring the parks in the cold), and hours are longer, but it's still early enough for Disney to give some deals.

So Disney has extended the hours for the MK on the day we'll be there, from 10pm to midnight. Which means two things: they are expecting it to be crowded, but, it gives us FIF.TEEN. HOURS. of touring time!!!!! Dude.......

DH gave the green light to plan!

I was there this time last year and loved it. Granted, we skipped over SWW (wouldn'tve been fair to DH) and had a great time. It was hot without being miserable, the hours were great, and the crowds were good.

Now to just get it all squared away and figure out a way to pay for it all.

I know, right??!! We're actually planning down time in the afternoon....either chillin' on Tom Sawyer Island with a frozen lemonade, or, if we feel we need the break, leaving the park and riding the monorail for a while.

Just got a text from my friend who just wrapped up their first day at the World. I guess her kids have been going character crazy! Cinderella gave her DS a kiss and she said he had the most horrified look on his face.

I can't WAIT to see the pictures!
