Ya'll, we leave in the morning, and I am having the most difficult time sleeping! This morning, I got up at 4:30!

I (of course) balanced my checkbook.

I'm finished with that. So what now?!?

I can't start packing the truck--It's raining!

See I won't have that problem.....to the contrary I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to get everything done before we leave!!

We've got to get DS10's birds down to his cousin in MA, I've got to get the apt. in tip-top shape (landlord is going to do a semi-annual walk-through while we're gone....:headache:), do everyone's laundry so we can pack, and try to live on left-overs for the few days before we go so the fridge is fairly well cleared out! :rotfl: AND, I'm still working right up to the day we go!!

.

Hi SadieDog!!

:hippie:

HI! I'm leaving soon for WORK. It's only until noon, but better than nothing. I was supposed to work 3 days and found out yesterday that I'm not working Friday. So down to 2. So annoying.

Sadie, if you were down here, I would find you a job in one of my schools. That whole work issue is ridiculous.

Thank you. Maybe I should move. :lmao: That would be perfect. I've worked with kids for years and before that I was an administrative assistant for the executives for a local business. Of course that was so long ago that all the computer programs I used are long gone.

We've already started packing for our trip. But you just reminded me we need to make sure the neighbors look in on our cats. We'll be gone for 10 days.:banana::banana: I'm also working right up until the day before we leave so I need my weekends to pack. Though my tap recital is also coming up and that's taking up my time too.:dance3: Ack! Lots to do.

amanda I hope you have an amazing trip!! I see you already have the next ticker in place there!...... (yeah I should laugh....I had exactly the same idea for after my trip!!)

Mean Queen -- question for ya...on the day our family goes to WDW (weekday), if we are in the car leaving the coast at 6am, will we beat the worst of the Tampa traffic?? I know it's got to be a solid 45 minutes from there to the city, and I'm always concerned about getting bogged down over there!

So my shelf in the living room committed suicide early this morning. Surprisingly only two things broke in all the crashing mayhem. The anchor things just pulled right out of the wall. Carp.

Looks like a nice day here....today and tomorrow, then we seem to be heading right back into this rainy pattern. It needs to get its soggy self out of here before our trip!! Nothing worse than night driving in the rain.

Gotta get my day started.....Hope y'all have a good one!!:goodvibes

It will be tight from the beach. It takes me between 30 - 45 minutes to get to the area you'll be at and I'm 5 minutes away from where you'll get on the interstate. Traffic from the beach into town can be busy in the morning because of all the people leaving for work. So that will be almost an hour to the interstate from where you are staying. Between 6:30 and 7 is when it really starts to get packed just over the Howard Frankland. After 7, I'd take the toll road (if there wasn't currently construction that makes it take even longer.) So you may take about 2 1/2 hours to get to Disney rather than the 1 hour 20 minutes it usually takes me from my house. That should still get you there before the park opens.

I agree! It looks like a Hollywood red carpet rather than prom. Where's the ugly puffy sleeves and pink lace?

Ok that's good to know...thanks. I know I'll be up early, and if everyone else is Disney-giddy and raring to go, we'll head out even earlier!

"I like your sleeves."
"Thanks. I made them myself."

Mornin' peeps......Happy Friday. I guess. I'm working today, which I'm happy about. Yesterday was a high-drama day there, though, so I'm not looking forward to more of that.:headache: Honestly let's be happy that we have steady work and stop stinking-and-moaning over every little detail we don't like!!!

Ugh....I've been feeling very anti-social this week. Ready to become a hermit and just say to heck with it all. People bug me!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm fairly certain I'll become a reclusive old "crazy cat lady" one of these years. :rotfl2:
