Absolutely NOTHING sounds good/fun/enjoyable.

...how about THIS?

I'm sorry, but shouldn't that be grounds for some sort of disciplinary action?? Or does a VP get to do whatever, just because?! I'd walk right up to this person, copies of e-mails in hand, and state flatly "If you have an issue with me, man up and FACE me to discuss it." I hate a coward.
Um... you would think, but I'm hitting her behind the scenes.

She still has NO CLUE who I am and who I'm related to.

Nor am I the first to complain about her lack of professionalism :sad2: or lack of student discipline or the fact she does whatever she wants to do.

Long day today too!

I photographed the high school's four National Merit Finalists at 7:50a.

DS woke me up at 3:30a...

Been up ever since.

One of my 5th graders cried, well sobbed, uncontrollably... ALL DAY...

On the upside, DH wants to move our 2014 trip up to 2013. Now all he has to do is choose the month. He's stuck between the tail end of May, any part of September, or early December.

Also, another one of my 5th graders MAY be leaving for Disney Saturday. Dad is coming home after a 2 year deployment. The office is saying Florida, but I can't imagine them NOT doing the military discount IYKWIM... they'd be crazy NOT to... Well, they dropped it in our lap TODAY that he needs homework next week. I'm going to sit on him and try to confirm if in fact they are going to WDW. If so, the teacher wants me to help her craft ALL of his homework to be done in the parks. #1 - so we don't have to deal with "late" (for us, not him) papers and #2 - I pretty much know way too much that he can't BS his way through it. :teeth:

That's a tough one!! Our family trips have always been in September and I *LOVE* the low-crowd factor. Free Dining also helps. ;) I did my solo in May and that's beautiful also, esp. with the Flower & Garden going on at Epcot (although, by "tail end" you may miss that). And, of course you'd get lower crowds in early December too (assuming you go like right after Thanksgiving or so) but with the benefit of all the holiday lights and decorations. What to do, what to do....

Morning everyone! It's Friday. TGIF. It's been a long week for me. But, the sun is shining, I'm working today, and right now, I feel pretty "up."

DS15 and DS12 are going on a youth group retreat with their cousins this weekend so it'll be quiet here with just me and DH and DS10. We're planning to head to VT tomorrow for a little sight-seeing. We won't go too far due to gas prices, but we'll find something fairly close.

I have to second the early December for the same reason. Late May would miss the Flower & Garden festival. If you do very late September (early October), you'd make the beginning of the Food & Wine festival, otherwise the only positive to that time is slightly lower crowds (unless a run is set that weekend.) But any time after Thanksgiving, you'd have lower temps, lower crowds, and the amazing holiday decorations.

Speaking of Disney (cause we do that sometimes on a Disney board), I'm heading up there tonight! We are staying at the Swan for the first time. Our only dining plan so far is San Angel Inn. But we want to do WCC for breakfast on Sunday. I wanted to get DD6's hair done at the BBB, but DH thinks I'm more excited about it than she is. Plus, he doesn't want to waste our limited time on that. And she screams every time I brush her hair, so he's not up for her doing it at Disney.

.....I've visited the Swan but we've stayed at the Dolphin twice - I love those locations!

kwitch, I'd have to vote for early Dec as well for the Xmas decorations.

LegoMom, enjoy the quiet weekend. I'd like to see some of VT.

MeanQueen, ENJOY!

Kimmar, I stayed at the Dolphin for 2 nights last Oct and loved it. I didn't get to check out the Swam b/c time was very limited. Great location; I'd love to stay there again.

It was below freezing last night and 33 now. The house is cold. I'm so ready for it to warm up. The cold strong wind does not help and it's sticking around all weekend. :headache:

....it's kind of like a 'boutique' hotel...not a great place for families with kids, especially small ones...

Yeah a boutique hotel where I couldn't afford anything. :rotfl2: The pool was great. I noticed it provided plenty of shaded area which I need. Of course all it did was POUR every day that we were there so shade was not a concern. Saw a little sun the day we arrived and the day we left was nice. Better luck next time. I would def stay there again.

....awwwww, what a shame :worried: .....hey, is it as cold THERE as it is this morning HERE?

It was below freezing last night and 33 when I got up. It feels even colder with the strong wind. I am so cold! We have no heat. I've had enough and want it to warm up.
