ROFR Thread July to Sept 2025 *PLEASE SEE FIRST POST FOR INSTRUCTIONS & FORMATTING TOOL*

She was…. gone very weird lately
It’s like she’s lost her sparkle and it all doesn’t seem natural any more
I’m finding it hard to get through the videos now whereas Alan has been getting better and is what holds it together
It must be hard to be that excited about theme parks and food ALL the time!! I still think she’s great.

I am one of those dinosaurs who prefers blogs and articles to video, but if I have to watch YT for information, I would watch Mammoth Club first. I thought their video explaining LLMP was great. I haven’t seen any of their stuff lately, but I would find it hard to be “on” all the time and would be inclined to cut someone some grace for the occasional less enthusiastic video. Happy to hear Alan is getting to be a more developed character.

I don’t find that to be the case at all… except that Allen is also a great personality on the show.

I’m not sure if you are aware, but my wife has told me that a lot of people on FB, IG, etc will make frequent comments about Molly’s physical appearance or changes in appearance ( gained weight, lost weight, outfit, lip fullness, etc.). Absolute foolishness from the Disney community!

That is a huge downside of making SM content. People can be very mean in the comments. Sad. It takes a very strong person to be able to shrug it off and I’m sure it takes a toll.

That's disappointing. I bet it's other women cutting her down, which is even worse.

Is your wife in any specific FB groups that she likes? I'm always on the lookout for good ones.

The number 1 rule for social networks and sites like YouTube is never, ever, read the comments.

It’s so easy for people to say horrible and toxic things to others when they’re not physically in front of them.

Yet another reason I stay far far away from the Disney vlogger ecosystem...or any vlogging ecosystem, for that matter.

Yeah, it's almost exclusively buyers. The original motivaciton for these threads was to try to reverse-engineer how Disney made ROFR decisions. Since those decisions have become rare (and in many cases, non-existant) the thread has become a forum for bragging that you got a cheap deal.

I suppose sellers could also brag tha they got prime money, but this group is dominated by people trying to add to DVC holdings, not those trying to reduce or liquidate.

I think the thread serves for much more than bragging rights, it did start as a way to see what price Disney was taking back contracts at but DVC doesn't tend to buy back contracts very often these days . As someone said above it's like an MLS for DVC resale and can be very helpful when deciding how much you want to offer. But mostly it serves as a way to see how long it may take you go through the ROFR process.

MSUsnee---$100-$20892-200-BRV@WL-Aug-0/24, 400/25, 200/26, 200/27- sent 7/18

This would be our second contract. We were hoping to be able to get BRV for less per point but the banked points made this one worth it for us, and it aligns with the use year of our other contract.

The 2024 points have already been banked into 2025 and we’ve already been dreaming about how to use those, especially since we’ve already borrowed half of our 2026 points from our other contract.

No, it's not. It does not publish the sales prices for everything listed. It publishes the sales prices obtained by a group of hyper-aware extremely-online people who are mostly trying to get a rock bottom deal.

I mean, I'm one of those people, so I get it, but still.

And, it only publishes some of the deals obtained by those people. I'm certain there are people on this board who've decided not to post in ROFR because they did not get a great deal, and don't really want to advertise that. Given the way a few posts have been Reply-Guy'd with "That's not a good deal, actually" I am pretty sure I wouldn't.

I thought that's what Closing Time was for.

In any event, if I wanted to know what the overall market was, I'd look a the average sales prices that Fidelity and DVC-RM publish each month. One of them (I think Fidelity?) helpfully breaks it down by contract size ranges.

Let me put it another way: If any of you who think this is "the market" were in a position to sell, would this thread determine your expectations for what you'd get?

If so, let me know before you sell. I might save you a commission.

If you are in this section of the boards I think you are here because you want to learn about what prices some people are paying. Some brokers try to strong arm buyers into thinking they are way off base with their offer when they are not.

As a seller I want to see what the brokers are selling for via their site. As a buyer I want to know what us hyper aware people are paying. This thread probably saved me thousands of dollars. I appreciate it.
