SadieDog -- ditto here. It was -8 when I got up. DH said it never got over 5!

I was out all day; went down to MA and met TarzansKat for lunch and then we shopped at Yankee Candle! I got a pack of votives and they are ALL beach/summer related! Had SO much fun looking at everything there.

Good morning. It was 7 below when I got up this morning and 4 below now. It might warm up to 9 today. Now excuse me, I hear a ferret in my bedroom and I think I left my closet door open and the remote on my bed.

LM hope you had agreat day. I,m even making one of my middle of the night appearances just for you. Lots going on around here. My ds is turning 4tomorrow. So not a baby anymore. But he,ll always be my baby. I m trying to type on my dd nook tablet. Its kinda cool but takes getting used to. Unbelievable the technology. We had aswim meet today and they had this little dvice that plugs into your smart phone that vould process a credit card. The team was selling shirts etc and all they had to do was swipe the card on the phone. It would also emsil a rceipt. Pretty cool on one hand, but scary on the other. Too much tech. I trust the people but if you think about it you just let someone swope your card on their phone. Plus the peoples info just came up automatically like their emsil and phone number.
Im hoping for snow. We had a little the other day but not enough to stick. I love a nice stay at home snow day.
Smiley. My dh bought my dd a shotgun gor vhridtmas. She loves to shoot. I have a few myself but never enough time to go.

LM hope you had agreat day. I,m even making one of my middle of the night appearances just for you. Lots going on around here. My ds is turning 4tomorrow. So not a baby anymore. I think it is awesome that your DD got a shotgun for christmas. I won't say what all was under our tree Christmas morning . Except my hubby's Mossen Nagant. It is a gun from WWI Russian made. And it is literally brand new. Crates and crates of these things have been found. It is a bolt action rifle and it is incredibly accurate. Fun, fun gun to shoot.

Wow, we have a regular arsenal between all of us. It's been a long time since I have bought a gun though. The last one I got was dh's hunting rifle and other than his .22, that's the only ones that are in the house.

I've been eyeing a 9mm. The issue we have here is coyotes. They come out of the woods and go after our chickens and other animals. If they have a chance, they will go after people. So we have to have something.

That makes it sound like we belong on Swamp People or something.

Which, interesting tidbit--you know how on Swamp People, they do the captions so people will understand them? I don't need the captions. I understand them completely.

daisyyy, I totally agree - that's just way too much technology for that app. I wouldn't want someone to be able to process my cc through their phone!!

I would love to live again where coyotes are an issue! DH has a .22 but wants to add to that. Once we do move into a house again, that's when it'll happen. We've got a couple of gun clubs around here....I can handle the .22 but I'd like to get some practice in.

So. Tired.

Woke up around 2:30 with a headache....took something then waited for it to take effect....About an hour later I was dropping back off to sleep when the wind kicked in...and it kept me awake for most of the rest of the night. It is howling out there. Something on the back deck (off our bedroom) was making a dull thump every time it blew so I tried coming out to the couch only to discover that the metal cap to our heater vent was rattling away. And that doesn't include the various other random old-building noises going on due to the wind. UGH!!!!!!!

I don't think there's enough coffee for me today.....
