Babnanas 11: "Boo-boo's are OUT, Toast is IN….

Too much caroling?

PIO - gorgeous photos! Your garden and the church are gorgeous. I can see why the church attracts visitors with cameras.

Good morning, y'all! We survived the frenetic cooking/eating cycle yesterday, barely. It was delicious, if the cook does say so herself! All had a great day. But we forgot to make our phone calls. I guess we were having a very good time. :rolleyes1

And when my cousins got home, they found a lost dog. So they spent a little while with the dog at the emergency vet's to scan the dog for a microchip. He was chipped, so one phone call and a little later, he's home with his family. :thumbsup2

:goodvibes That's wonderful.

MO'NIN y'all! Off to work at the ski area shortly (not sure who in their right mind wants to ski this weekend; it's been too warm to make snow and the slopes are just all ice. Yuck.). This morning it was pouring rain, too. Anyway, I get a pretty easy 6-hr. shift in the cafe!

Then.....I get the WHOLE. WEEK. OFF. :scared1:

:dance3::yay::cool1::cheer2::banana:

I am so excited to be HOME and have time to myself and with my kids!!!!!! Going to enjoy it fully, won't have time off (other than an odd day here and there) again til the May trip!

.

The weather has been strange here as well, I think the temps will be dropping soon though.

Because no LegoMom trip to WDW would be complete without at least one resort change before it was all said and done, I am proud to announce that the new resort will be:

Coronado Springs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was originally booked at CBR. I was all about that, but then some Life happened and I had to cancel, in order to get my deposit back. In the meantime I've been waiting to rebook until the early spring room-only discounts were released, early January. It didn't make sense to rebook, then re-rebook for the discount. So I waited..... :surfweb: This morning I logged on to My Disney Experience and lo and behold!!.....we had late-spring discounts already released!!! And so I started playing the numbers game. :rolleyes1

Now, DH and I had been discussing all this recently, and thought that since it's a shorter trip, and we'd be all about park time, the resort was more or less a place to sleep. Neither of us had ever been to Pop Century, so thought that might be a good choice among our Value options. Only I could just never get into it. I don't know why, I have friends who love it, but it just doesn't scream Disney to me. :confused3 I priced out CBR again, and it was almost $300 more to stay there over Pop. Hard to digest that. But I was SO in love with the theming and romantic feel of CBR. Back and forth, back and forth.... and then suddenly as I scrolled, there it was! -- Coronado Springs. [cue singing angels] And it was LESS than CBR! Still more than Pop, of course, but it was a total figure I could live with. I quickly went to AllEars.net and looked at some photos; I think it took about 3 and I was hooked. Back to MDE, and before you could say Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, we were booked!! pixiedust: Even though it's a shorter trip, it's still an anniversary trip, so the atmosphere is important.

NOW I am super excited for this trip! This resort just feels like it was meant to be; I hadn't even considered it prior, but it's PERFECT.

Sorry, just had to share with people who can relate!!! You may now resume your regularly scheduled day!

Not much left here, either, it's been so warm and rainy. Cold again this week, though, and while there's no snow in the forecast, at least our ski area can make snow! The conditions right now are pretty bad....

.

And here's to a new year starting soon!! :cheer2:

.

Woohoo for your new booking! :cool1:

And to a new year - may we all be happier, healthier, wealthier and zanier than the last year! OK, so the zanier won't take much with this crew! :rotfl:
