Curious if any of you have looked at the availability for headliners (I'm looking at at you TSM, Soarin', TT) at 30 days out. I am considering off site for my next trip since there are 6 of us and it's much cheaper than 2 rooms at a value. But I also want to make sure we can get good times for rides. I know we'll be heading back in the afternoon for naps so times of 2-6 won't do me much good. Going end of Oct so hopefully not crazy cray crowd wise.

So far I haven't seen any issues getting FP+ for headliner rides 30 days out. The things I've seen have their supply exhausted early have all been the low hourly throughput character experiences. Specifically:

1. Anna & Elsa meet and greet
2. Enchanted Tales with Belle

I haven't had any issues getting any ride 30 days out. Of course, as more people become aware of the system and during busier times of year, the FP+ for the most popular rides may start to "sellout" earlier.

I rearranged our schedule about 18 days out and didn't have any problems. The only ride that showed some limited availability was Toy Story
Mania. There wasn't anything left in the mornings and early afternoon. We had to do late afternoon. Everything else was available at any time - Soarin, Test Track, Space Moutain, etc.

I think if you want to meet Anna and Elsa, maybe book a throwaway room so you get two days of FP+s booked at 60 days. You could do one day MK must-dos including A&E, and then do the other day do some other park's must-dos.

I think the other ones should be fine at 30 days but that is just my guess.

Thanks all. I'm sure my niece and nephews would love to meet A&E, but I don't anticipate meltdowns if they can't.

I had actually considered doing a split stay as well. I feel there is a chance free dining might be offered in Oct (obviously won't know that until aug tho). There are really only 2 character meals the kiddos are wanting to do so if we had 3 days on and 7 off it would work. I know in order to book FD, you have to purchase the package deal. What I didn't know though was let's say the first 3 nights are a package....would I be able to add days to my park tickets and stay offsite? Or is it just better to not take advantage of free dining and book room only and buy tix separately? It's hard for me to pass up something labeled as "free". =(

I've always found plenty of availability even on the day of. As an AP holder, I've taken 2 trips to WDW with FP+ only thus far (about to do a third) and I usually change up my selections all day each day and haven't ever had issues with getting headliners until late in the day (which will pretty much always be an issue and was in the old system).

The only one I see with consistent unavailability is the Frozen M&G at MK. That one is always grayed out, but I'm thankful that I can skip that particular experience.

Thanks....great to know you've been able.to move things around.

24 days out, and I had to move around some FP+ this morning. I had absolutely no issues getting a different time for Space. Pretty much the whole day (exception of like 7-8:30pm) was available.

Why not just show up one day for rope drop?

I've found the exact opposite to be true in my experience (at least since everyone became eligible for FP+). Rides like Toy Story Midway Mania, Test Track, and Soarin' are usually depleted by 11:00 am.

I had a Kilimanjaro Safaris FP+ for Noon to 1:00 PM a few weeks ago. We were a little late getting to lunch so when we saw we weren't going to make to the Safari by 1:00 PM, I went to try to change for a later time. This was at 12:30 pm on a day which wasn't all that busy and there were no more times available.

Just to make sure I understand....you are talking about day of availability right? That is good info to have but right now more concerned about availability at 30 days out. It'll cost me about $1000 more to stay onsite vs off b/c I have to get 2 rooms. We're going to have a vehicle regardless so it's a true extra cost. Now if there is FD, it might only be about 700 more for on vs off but we would also have the ability ton have lots more character meets which would free up time in lines in the park.

Yes. That post was in response to the poster talking about changing headliners "day of".

I already replied to your initial query about 30 day availability in the very first response to your initial post.

OK...thanks much. Greatly appreciate your input. I shouldn't worry. Kiddos don't have any expectations since they've never been. I Just stress out about it way too much.
