We just got back on Sunday.....We took the autograph books and they were a big hit. All in all we got about 60 signatures. We could have got more, but frankly we got tired of standing in autograph lines. We decided to forgo the "tv disney" characters of the Einsteins, Handy Mandy and Kim Possible.
I have access to a binding machine, so I printed them out on white cardstock, alphabatized them and top bound them. I laminated a cover and back with cardstock and a piece of cardboard from a mens dress shirt for a little extra sturdiness. We carried them everywhere in our backpack (we printed three). They were a little heavy, but not horrible. I also brought a fabric pencil case and about 10 different color sharpies for the characters.
Some characters we easily found last time were no where to be found. It was a little disapointing cause the main characters of Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy and Donald where everywhere at every park. I would have liked a little more variety, but oh well. we did pretty good.
Only one I did not have a page for was the Mad Hatter and it was my fault, he was done, but somehow I missed printing him. And in keeping with his kinda cranky character, he "yelled" at me for having Alice and not him. So it was funny. It worked out as I printed a few "blank" pages in case I ran into someone not in my book.
The books were wonderful "savers" several times when we had long waits (for meals or parades) we got them out and the kids passed the time looking them over.
If you have any questions about where we found someone, please let me know. We were thrilled to get Wendy and Peter Pans autograph this time and disapointed we did not see Flick, Atta, Koda and Kenai (we found them easily last time) We also amazingly did not see Daisy. Mary Poppins apparently was at MK on Saturday, I ran into another family who had got her autograph, but I missed her...drat.
I can not thank you enough for the wonderful pages.....they were one of the highlights of our trip.
Also as a side note, we won dream passes our first day....We were getting off Barnstormer at 10:00 am. There were no lines and we went through again, and won a second pass. Although the crowds were so low that day we did not need them. My daughter was also chosen at MGM to get a rose from Belle and "Beast" at the end of Beauty and the Beast, and my husband was sung to for his birthday by the group at the begining of the same show.
We had 4 December birthday people and wore our free birthday buttons and go free dessert several times. And last but not least, my son was chosen to fight with "Captain Jack" in the pirate show. BTW Captain Jack is not signing autographs, no matter how much you beg him
