I was reading about the cruises that got shortened or delayed due to Hurricane Katrina in Florida. Some got an extra day at sea! Others lost a day and got different compensation offers... Hope that doesn't happen when I go.

Cathy
I could go for an extra day at sea, I really enjoy the sea days! We did rebook on board, not really intending to do the cruise we booked, we just wanted to take advantage of the rebooking incentives. But tonight we already started talking about the cruise we rebooked (right during hurricaine season) vs Hawaii!

Jenny, I hope you had fun at the Giants game! It was a good game!

:dog: :dog2: :pug: These dogs had nothing to do with anything, I just noticed them and thought they were so cute!

It's still hard to believe we were kicked off the Magic 2 weeks ago after all those months of planning. The time went by too quickly. Didn't they realize we still had so much to do and more things to talk about and more food to try?!? The really should have let us stay on the ship longer. ::yes::

I agree! How can you plan for something for so long and then have it over so fast? I think they should have at least let us stay on until we felt like we had done everything we really wanted to do!

This morning when I was taking a shower I noticed I still have the red splotchy mark from the jellyfish sting! I thought it had faded away but its still there. I guess its just a souvenir from Puerto Vallarta!

I guess now you have your own 'little souvenir' to show from the cruise. :teeth: :rotfl: Better to show it off now than 9 months from now. :earseek:

Sorry, the rain here is making me a bit silly today. We are starting to get the rains from Katrina here already. It's supposed to rain until Thursday and get heavy at times. :umbrella:

My next cruise is nine nights so that should feel a little longer. It goes from a Sunday until the Tuesday the following week.

We need rain so badly here, I hope we get some remnants of Katrina. It would be nice if it rained during the week but stopped for the long weekend - that is how I ordered it.

Cathy :paw: :cat: hey, they have a cat too!

I thought of you as we passed the 238 interchange. We had fun but Jack is a die-hard Mets fan so the game wasn't that "good" for him :rotfl: ! We made great time getting to The City...only 3 1/2 hours and straight to the hotel - Columbus Motor Inn - to drop off the car and catch the bus to the ballpark. We ate at Quizno's before entering the stadium and Traci and Brynée then proceeded to eat $20 worth of ballpark food before the 1st inning was over! I think they spent a total of $40 before the game finished...thankfully it was only 9 innings...last year we were there for the 12 inning game! We walked back to the Wharf and then had dinner at Sabella & La Torre - it is Brynée's favorite place. She and Traci feasted on cracked crab dinners and then we had gelato for dessert. As we were eating dinner I thought that I should have asked what your plans were...but it is so hard to plan around baseball games.

The new Boudin's marketplace is wonderful! They have a museum and tour but it was $3 and at DCA it is free! So we passed, and had the chowder/bread bowl before we left today. The weather was just gorgeous and we hated to come back to the 100 degree weather here - the :dog: days of summer!

Vickie, here is a link to an interesting sounding cafe which is on the way to/from Three Rivers: http://cityguide.visaliatimesdelta.com/fe/Arts/20050826-2195813.asp

Jenny we ate at the Boudin's Marketplace as well. I also had to buy a bagfull of bread to bring home. I wish we could get really good sourdough bread here, nothing beats Boudin's. I could go for chowder in a bread bowl now, oh Noel.....

Barb - I think the chowder/bread bowl was even better than DCA's! Maybe it's due to the sea air or maybe because the Marketplace is beautiful :sunny: ! You sure were able to do a lot during your vacation..cruise, DL/DCA, Oakdale and SF! What a fantastic way to experience the West Coast :goodvibes ! I was thinking of that during our walk from SBC to the Wharf and was wondering if Brynée realized she had experienced Mexico and SF within a couple of weeks! Probably not ;) , I think she was more enamored by the fact that she bought Dolce & Gabbana knock-off sunglasses in Mazatlan and SF! Shopping in the City sure is fun for the girls...almost as much fun as eating tons of ballpark food :earboy2: .

Cathy - The cat icon sure is cute...interesting that DIS has these icons!

Jenny, I'm glad you had fun in SF. It would have been fun to meet the rest of your family but we had a lot going on this weekend so I don't think it would have worked anyway. Last night we went out to dinner at a restaurant that is a tribute to Willie McCovey and baseball in general. We had a great dinner and excellent service! Probably ranks up there with the best service we've ever had in a restaurant! Sweet little 21 year old waitress who is a huge Disney fan (I was wearing my 50th anniversary shirt from DL) in fact she is getting married next year and wants to get married at DL. If any of you baseball fans are in the area it's called McCovey's and its in Walnut Creek.
I looked at the link to The Orange Tree, it looks like it may be worth trying.
Kenney went to a water park today with some friends and his cell phone was stolen. It is insured so that is not a problem, the bad part is all of his vacation pictures were on the memory stick in the phone (camera phone) and he had not downloaded them so they are all gone. He had a great picture of the ship all lit up when they were coming back from the teen sunset sail in Puerto Vallarta and all of the pictures of the friends he met on the cruise.

That is so horrible about Kenney's cell phone, why do people do things like that? To sell it? What do you do, cancel the service on the number? They should have GPS on them like cars.
Jenny, Your trip sounds like a lot of fun! We should go up to Boston to see a Red Sox game. It has been forever since we did that.

You have to make a report and they suspend the service. They are sending a new phone and it should be here by wednesday. We are supposed to be able to keep the same phone number when the new phone arrives, I sure hope so, it was my first cell phone before you could "take your number with you" and Wick was able to pick the last 4 #'s and it is "toys" when we changed providers we kept the phone for my Mom and when she died we gave it to Kenney so I really want to keep that same #. Loosing the pictures on it really disappoints me! They sell stolen phones, they just remove the memory chip.
Vickie

Hope you get to keep the same number Vickie!

We are finally back to school here in CT, seems late compared to other parts of the country. Of course we had a last minute, gotta run to Brooks Pharmacy to buy school supplies we didn't think of last weekend! She needed a compass to do her Geometry homework.

Work is getting busy, I may have to put in some extra hours which will cut in to my computer time... :sad1:

Cathy

Cathy, hope you are all faring well from the storm. We haven't had any more rain since Sunday. The wind picked up here a lot today and it's been bad tonight, but that's it. Will be thinking of all the poor folks in the south who have nothing left.

Vickie, such a shame about Kenney's phone. I was looking forward to seeing the Magic by night pics. Hope you can keep the number, gotta have the TOYS.

Well we got Kenney's new phone today and yes we were able to keep the same number. That part makes me happy but its really too bad about his pictures. I guess the lesson is not to wait to download the pictures!
Vickie

Had a very nice surprise in the mailbox today, we received 2 copies of the Castaway Club cd  . For some reason one of them came in DH's name with his first name spelled wrong and a new CC number. The other one was addressed to the family. I was very surprised and happy. Gave one to Alexa and my parents to listen to on the drive to the beach this afternoon. Of course, I gave her the one with the family name on it so I can't even read the letter that was enclosed.

This is Kazu.
How are you doing?

We go to HongKong disneyland next mounth.
We realy can't wait for New park visiting.

BTW
Is there a person who has the schedule of which someone comes to the park in Japan?

We want the report if there is a person who comes to Japan.
And, I want to meet in the park in Japan.

Bye

Kazu - No plans to go to Japan in the near future, but I would let you know if we did.

Barb - We didn't get much of the storm, it went to the West of us. We had some rain from another front, but nothing big.

It is supposed to be really nice this weekend, I am going to my aunt's 80th birthday party. It will be at my cousin's big house in a tent with a DJ (my aunt's friends must be feisty fun loving people)

Vickie - Glad Kenney got the same number!
Cathy

Bumping us up, I miss this thread but I guess everyone is busy. I am on a thread for my Princess cruise but there are only a few people so far...
