I'm so excited checked me email tonight and the free dining email was waiting for me . We had to change our dates by 1 week, but the money we saved was well worth it. Hope everyone else gets this email too!

Just got a 30% off pin in the mail...the dates are all wrong and the 4/3 beats it, but at least I know I'm on the list.

Man I would love to have that free dining if it started around the 15th of Aug.

I also got the free dining code, which means 2 pins... after never having gotten a pin before. But since we're going deluxe and don't plan on many sit down meals, I will stick to the 40% off.

I go that offer too. But since out trip starts on Aug 8th it really doesn't do us much good. I'm seriously starting to think about changing our plans to a Dec trip. The 40% off code I got is good till March 29th I think. And so far it's the best deal I've been offered. It may be worth it to go in Dec instead.

I'm really hoping they'll have something coming out soon for earlier in Aug.

Decisions! Decisions! The buy 4/get 3 free promo was extended to include travel dates through 8/15/09. If I change our May 28th through June 6th trip to August 5th through 15th, I would save $300.00. But, I have only traveled to Disney once in August. For those of you out there that have traveled in August, how are the crowds and temps?

Well, August temps are hot but I think July is worse. The crowds are less in August than July. I explain it to people who don't understand like this. When we have winter we go from a warm house to a warm car to a warm building. You limit your time outside. It is the same idea only with hot weather instead of cold. You go from your cold room to a cold bus to cold attractions and restaurants. Most of the lines are indoors now so if you try hard enough, you can really limit your exposure to the heat.

We are going August. I am also stuck. Do we go one week with the 7 for 4 and then second week free dining or do both weeks free dining. I wanted to go earlier in the month instead of waiting until the 16th but 2 weeks of free dining and only one reservation makes things so nice. No rechecking in or worry about having to change rooms. The decisions are daunting at times.

We are travelling for our third August and used the 4/3 promo to reduce our rates by $400. We are staying for 9 nights and have PHs and the DP.

Great to have a reduction before we even get close to travel time

With the extension of the 4/3 deal, I changed my reservation from a room only at the AAA rate to the 4/3 deal (and added an 8th day). I'm so excited! Can't wait for the next 6 months to fly by!!

Well, the 4/3 deal did nothing for me and I'm sticking with my AAA rate... on a hopeful note, I'm hoping that everyone who had the flexibility to move a week earlier to get the 4/3 deal did and there will be less people at the park during my week.

I'm in the same boat you're in. We're sticking to our AAA room only rate.

Well I went ahead & called today to see if I could get the 4/3 deal on our dates. (Aug. 15 - 22) I got a CM that was willing to put the code in & see what happened. Her system accepted the code for those dates,BUT it didn't actually give the discount. Seven nights AKL standard view w/ park hopper was still about 2500.

Oh well - at least the CM tried. We've still got our AAA room only at CSR. I know that there is the possibility for free dining to become available, but that would not really benefit us much.

I switched from a room only with AAA to the 4/3 package. We are going for 8 nights and still got a great deal. The Disney website quotes the same package ( 8 nights at POFQ in king room with 7 day base tickets) at $2100. My initial quote for the deal was $1606 - which I booked on Monday. Looking more closely today, I saw they added trip insurance to the package. We don't need it so I called and canceled it - bringing our new price to $1473!!! Woot woot! I love it. That's a total savings now of $625


Only 177 more days to go!
