DCL came through & my coconut has arrived    I thought no one loved Disney Dudette #2 at DCL :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: but now I am a member of the "in" crowd.

Have a great Saturday night. Toodles  :genie: JEANNE

I got my coconut yesterday (and I figured we weren't getting one since we haven't cruised in 2 1/2 years)

We took some family to DL today, walked in and went to see if Buzz was open. There were people standing outside, and just as we walked up they opened the doors and we hopped in line. less than 15 minutes later and we were on the ride. Yeah. We're still going back on monday for the preview. I'll have to pay more attention then and maybe get some pics. At the end of the ride there was machines that said email a pic to yourself. Didn't do that as the line for that was way too long. They had maybe 6 or 7 terminals with about 10 people waiting for each one. Plus since it was the first day they had cameras taping what was going on.

We had fun, I had to leave at 1 to take Lindsay to a birthday party, and I'll go back at 5 when her party is over.

Got the stuff I ordered from Cafepress. Looks great. The tank top looks like it will be too small for me. So I may have to force youngest, and thinest to take the shirt.
Found out the eldest DDs' best friend has a cousin who is :MickeyMo at WDW. She was doing an internship in food management and they asked her if she was interested in trying out for one of the characters. Never dreamed she'd get to be the BIG CHEESE himself. :cool1:

Had lots of Sun today but only a little melt. Probably didn't get above 36.

Learned a lesson today. If you are going to make a baby present for someone, get it done. I have been working off and on on a baby quilt, cross stitch, for one of the teachers at day care. Yesterday I realized her due date is the 19th of this month. Figured I better work on the quilt. Guess who had her baby this morning. Spent the entire day sewing the blooming quilt. Still have 5 of the 9 animals to do and the border. The kid is getting it for college graduation. :rotfl:

HE HE...I still have to finish cross stitching Eeyore for my son that i started 2 years ago... He bugs me to get it done for his room!!
I did Cinderella Castle a few years ago that i finished, now hang in a frame.
I have many Disney patterns that i was going to complete...ya right!! :sad2:

Maybe we should have a Cross Stitching hour on the cruise??? Any thoughts?? Iknow the May Cruise is having some kind of Cross stitching class.

:cat:

Cross stitch hour works for me. I rarely travel anywhere without some sort of needlework. Usually cross stitch although I have been known to bring needlepoint with me. I even bought a thread cutter designed to go through security. Won't let you travel with scissors anymore. Like a 60 year old white gal with stainless steel knees would hijack an airplane. Now if my teeth were stainless, maybe...Nah wouldn't happen. I'm going on that boat no matter what. :teeth:
Our AAA is having a cruise show today and I think I have convinced DH to go and look at cruises to Alaska. Been told no Disney until 2007.:scared: So I'll have to fall back to plan B and start pushing for Alaska. Now if Disney would start doing cruises to Alaska... :faint:
Had a dream the other night that for some totally weird reason the Disney company asked me to name their next ship. I came up with the Disney Imagination. Kind of like that, goes with Wonder and Magic. Why on Earth they would ask me, I have no clue. :rotfl2:

So who's heading up the Cross Stitch hour? Newletter Editor needs to know :teeth:

Got a couple articles for the next newsletter. If you want to write about something, let me know. Excursions, DL, WDW, So. California, locales we will see, other stuff!!!! Next newsletter 3/15 which means I'll work on it next weekend.

Mel - Just for you, I slogged through the first 59 pages of the thread to find the Barbie glass. The original "glass of Zinfandel" post was on Page 50 then on Page 59, Mark posted:

It's from my daughters Barbie Doll collection. I have plates too if you want to offer dessert to all too.
As you can see, the pic isn't there anymore. :sad2:

ATTENTION MARK: We need that Barbie Glass photo back. Pretty Please?!? Especially because I think I found it, too in Megan's Barbie stuff.

Ooh, a cross stitching hour? I really want to get some work done on Cinderella's castle. I haven't had a chance in about 2 years to work on it. I did do a birth announcement for Kaleigh when she was born.

Maybe I will get my coconut tomorrow.

I haven't ordered anything from cafepress yet, but I really like the large mug.

Has anyone ordered the golf shirt yet? Just curious about an opinion. I'm still holding off on ordering due to the last two months being biggie bills months.
I just ordered it yesterday. If know one else gets back to you before I get it I'll let you know how it is.

This would be fun! How about an informal "stitchin hour" with chitchat and camaraderie? Can I bring "other" needlework?? Part of the reason I haven't cross-stitched in so long is because of a repetitive motion problem; cross-stitching becomes painful...but I'm bringing my tatting and maybe an applique quilt top...

I really like that magnet on cafe press...must have it....
