Yes, Bill and I have been busy, just kidding.

A pair of my Bettas spawned last Sunday, to my surprise since they have been together for a good while. :confused3 We sure didn't expect it to happen, and we weren't prepared.
We are now proud owners of several fry Bettas.
Wish us luck as they are so so tiny, and we are learning as we go.

Well back to baby sitting. :lovestruc

I just ordered it yesterday. If know one else gets back to you before I get it I'll let you know how it is.

Paul

Thanks! Maybe I'll get one in time for my golf lessons in April!

Kathy - tried to get the KITE RUNNER at the library yesterday but it's this month's book for the reading club. I heard it is a must read so now I am really looking forward to it!

The flu/bug has hit this house. Yesterday while Victoria was waiting for me to choose books she kept nodding off in the library. We cancelled the rest of our afternoon plans and spent the day taking Tylenol/Motrin alternating every four hours.

Is it possible for the dog to have it too? She was up every two hours having to go out - wanted to kill her.

We checked out a book with pics on Accupulco, looked pretty nice and Victoria is more excited than ever about the cruise!

Tracy I sent you a little something for the newsletter re: Internet on cruise.

How about a knitting hour.....my mom would be UP for that!!! And, any ideas for a scrapbook get-together...idea sharing??? Wouldn't be possible to bring supplies to actually scrapbook though. If any one wants the 7x7 disney scrapbook. or disney snap pack, etc., at cost, let me know!!!

Mel - Just for you, I slogged through the first 59 pages of the thread to find the Barbie glass. The original "glass of Zinfandel" post was on Page 50 then on Page 59, Mark posted:As you can see, the pic isn't there anymore. :sad2:

ATTENTION MARK: We need that Barbie Glass photo back. Pretty Please?!? Especially because I think I found it, too in Megan's Barbie stuff.

Nancy, You NEVER CEASE to amazed me!!!!!! :cool1:

This would be fun! How about an informal "stitchin hour" with chitchat and camaraderie? Can I bring "other" needlework?? Part of the reason I haven't cross-stitched in so long is because of a repetitive motion problem; cross-stitching becomes painful...but I'm bringing my tatting and maybe an applique quilt top...

Sounds good to me!! :cool1: And if the Looneyhood interuppts and interferes, we have plenty of sewing weapons to shoo them off!!! :rotfl2:

I just read about cross stitching. Haven't done it in about a year but I'm a big counted cross stitcher. I especially enjoy reproduction samplers. I'm not sure if I'll bring anything for the cruise though.

Robin I hope you find the book soon. My husband read it in a day and really liked it too. I look forward to discussing it with you after you read it. I read it for a book club I just joined.

Kathy - Thanks for the book recommendation. After chatting with you the other night, I went out and bought "The Kite Runner" the next day. I have to finish my "beach reading" Danielle Steel novel first though  Should be done with that one tonight and on to the new book tomorrow.

Maybe we can get enough people reading it for a book chat one night!

Hi folks - just a thought for another addition to the pins / lanyards / mag badges etc. Has anyone thought about a "Ship of Fools" silicon wrist band - similar to the Livestrong bands etc? I've just checked on a manufacturer's site and we could get bands for $2.50 plus postage up to 140 bands - goes down to $2 if over 140 and goes down further to $1.50 if over 260 bands. They have 17 colours in stock - a DIS lime green would probably be a special and requires a run of 500.

Any takers?

Allan

DRESS POLICY CHANGE

Jeans are now acceptable attire under the revised "Cruise Casual" dress policy. It is still requested that guests do not wear shorts, swimwear or tank tops to the dining rooms.

The attire is determined by the day, not the restaurant with the exception of Palo. The seven night cruise has a formal night, semi-formal night, pirate/tropical night and four "Cruise Casual" nights.

On the 3 and 4 day cruises there is one night where "dress-up" attire is requested. Men are asked to wear a jacket while ladies are asked to wear either a dress or nice pantsuit.

PALO DRESS CODE

During dinner, gentlemen will be required to wear a dress shirt. Gentlemen wearing polo shirts, t-shirts, Tommy Bahama style shirts, etc will not be allowed admittance. Jackets and/or ties are still recommended but not required. Notices will be in the Personal Navigator, on the Palo reservation card and a sign outside the elevators on deck 10 will contain this dress advisory. The Resort Casual dress code for both the brunch and high tea remains unchanged.

Robin I got the golf shirt yesterday in my Cafepress order. It is really nice. The material is soft and it fits well. The tank top on the other hand is definately not going to be worn by me. Maybe as an undershirt but not where anyone can see it. That's what I would look like in the tank top.
I see no reason why someone who wants to do some sort of sewing or such including knitting whouldn't be welcome to our "little" group. :rolleyes1:

Thanks Estelle! I appreciate the feedback!

I filed my taxes online today. I think if I filed something along the EZ lines I'd feel better about it. They say, "if your filing is accepted by the IRS" ... IF? I don't want IF, I want to be DONE!

We'll see how long it takes for my refunds to hit my accounts. I wish I had done it sooner but gathering all the info together is time consuming.

Hadf a great day today! Went to MK and celebrated birthdays at the Crystal Palace. Meal was great, grand kids loved it, the park was remarkably uncrowded, and the weather was perfect! We all thought it was one of the best days we've had at WDW!

Plus, got my passport applications filed on Friday, and got my income taxes done. First refund in ages...whopping 64 bucks. But by getting a traditional IRA for Mary for $3000, I was able to raise the refund to 800. Too good of a deal to pass up!

Interesting idea. Wonder if we could get enough people interested for the minimum.
