We have arrived at my parents house in NC but I think we are in for lots of rain. No worries, we like having a chance to visit and just relax while we are here.

Yes, some of the best mini vacays are relaxing and visiting! But I hope the weather cooperates and you get some outdoor time as well.

D~ Sorry to hear about V's sunburn. I got a severe sunburn (on a cloudy day) and I missed 2 days of work since I could NOT put clothes on my back or legs. I actually went into work the first day so I could go to the ER to see what they could do for me...which was not much! So, I truly hope V doesn't suffer too much. It's the pits!

The pictures of the lake are beautiful!! I could do some serious relaxing there. I'm so glad you are taking some days off and just "being". Those are some great memories being made. Your girls will mark these times as some of their best, I'm sure. Enjoy and stay safe!

Hi D, looks like fun times at the lake!!

I was wondering where you get the hardware for your bags and lanyards? I have looked everywhere locally for lobster clips! I haven't looked online, I thought I would ask you first

HOORAY! I thought i would have a book to read when i finally got back here!

YAY on the trip paid in FULL!! Love the lake pictures! I see MM has a friend? OMG sunburn is HORRIBLE!!! poor kid i hope she gets better! ALOE!! Best stuff on earth for it. This is the FIRST year my kids ever got sunburn. i keep the aloe in the fridge. putting it on is um.. Not so good.. but then it's awesome. Is it bad when i laugh AT them when i am putting in on the kids??
Eh well...


OK To all D~ readers.. I got my bag and the Mike thing. (I really have no idea what's it's called except fantastic.) All i have to say is WOW. This bag could be sold in a store for $$$$$.. I am SO LUCKY to have won this auction!! The quality is stunning, i cannot believe how well this bag is put together, the amount of stitching, hard wear the strap? Holy Moly.
Also incase your wondering how much it holds? It CAN hold up to:
8 boxes of candy, TONS of napkins, a set of keys with tons of those store things on them, A box of cigarettes lighter, and a very small wallet.
i was shocked. I will post pictures as soon as i can!!!!

Good morning everyone...

It's another gorgeous morning on the lake...

And it couldn't get much better... My fav Mickey jammies and a cup of coffee...

Yesterday, we all worked all morning, Alli and I cleaned all the cobwebs off the deck furniture, which took us almost four hours!

Then we had a nice buffet of sandwiches, chips, fruit salad and frog eye salad... A perfect lake lunch!

The girls took the kayaks out for a nice ride, we are on a pretty large lake, and they went quite far... Going usually is fine... Coming back isn't always as easy. Lol but they did good.

Then I took a four hour nap... Oops... Lol.

We went for a wonderful boat ride before dinner.

Josh made his amazing burgers for dinner.

Then Josh and V took the kayaks out... We have had them for 2 years now, and that was Joshs first time out.

Then the girls played Farkle with grandma and grandpa and we went to bed.

It was the perfect day.

No idea what the plans are for today... Probably much the same as yesterday.

Glad you are having a wonderful time at the lake! I'm headed to PA to visit Mom on Saturday so if I'm not around much that's why! I've got a ton of stuff to get done before I go and then I'll be there for over a week.

YAY for under 50 days. DDBF informed me yesterday of the countdown. I couldn't believe it is that close! I guess that is the good thing about NOT having a countdown, it rather snuck up on me.

Yippee for under 50 days. Our countdown to California is 43 days and I still can't believe that. We booked our final hotel stay on Friday and we are splurging on the Disneyland Hotel for that last 5 nights. I haven't told the kids yet so they still think we are just staying at another budget chain like the rest of our trip. So exciting!

I am loving all the lake pictures. It looks beautiful and relaxing there. It reminds me of my childhood. We had some family friends with a lake house ans we used to go a couple times per summer. It was wonderful! I really miss those days...it's nice to relive those memories through your PTR!

The idea of sitting with a morning cup of coffee with a view of that beautiful lake sounds like heaven. I'm so glad you are enjoying your time. I'm also glad Josh insisted you NOT bring Patience or Mr. Rocket. Go right now and give him a big hug and tell him he was right. Go ahead.

Good morning all!

It's kind of a dreary drippy morning at the lake today.

Yesterday was wonderful and sunny.... And glorious, so much so, that the last picture I took yesterday was the one of my coffee.... The pictures I am sharing today are from the day before. Lol

I worked out right away yesterday morning, then I went for a walk... I walk around the lake to the end of our road and back, which is 3 miles. I love walking here vs. home because it is flat here... At home the hills are murderous, and I can only do 3 laps around town before I am sick of it, which is under a mile.

Then we had a lake lunch of sandwiches, chips, dip, frog eye salad and fruit salad.

Afterwards, I threw on my suit and sat on the front deck to read my book... It was wonderful.

Mm loves to have his dummy thrown, we store it in a high tree branch, so whenever he wants to play (which is often), he will sit under the tree and look longingly at his dummy. Who says animals can't communicate? Mm also loves to swim... He will often run into the lake and do laps around the dock, just for the fun of it.

Again, photos won't rotate... Wish they'd put that option into the app.

Before dinner last night, we took the girls out tubing, we like to use the wet bikes to pull them, because the wake from the wet bikes is much smaller than that of the boat. Then it's also easier if one of them wants a break, they can just climb on the back of the wet bike rather than trying to climb into the boat, which is rather difficult.

We had a dinner of brats (or in my case, turkey brats), chips and beans. Then we built a fire in the put and made snores. Num.

And that finishes another relaxing day at the lake.

I can't believe we are at 48 days... I have so much trip stuff swirling in my head. I feel like it is really crunch time for me.
