attention all Disney Visa non-believers

Totally disgusted with the whole thing. I can't believe we were DENIED. We have good credit ( we requested the credit report). They said it was because we had some late payments about 4 years ago (due to an illness in the family). Since then we have not paid anything late. We have a points earning platinum visa through Chrysler and a business platinum card. After purchasing annual passes, being a DVC member, Disney Club member, Castaway Club member not too mention total Disney addicts, we are not good enough for them? Anyone else out there had similar experience?

As much as I love Disney, I have not worked up any enthusiasm for this card. The "benefits" are weak and the "first day" hoopla was for a little extra imprinting -- not even a cool card design.

Sorry, but I will use my Discover (and get cash back) or perhaps my airline credit card to earn points. This card most definitely is not a replacement for Disney Club.

Unfortunately, yes.:(

I called to check the automated line. Since it's been over 2 1/2 weeks since I applied, I talked to a "real person". She said I was being denied because of the other credit cards I already have... something about the balances being too high.

Okay, whatever. Disney approved my DVC loan. Mortgage company approved a potential refinancing (which I didn't take because the closing costs meant I'd be wiping out the 2 1/4 years I've already paid... the refinance would have been for more than the original loan, so I would only save $1260 over the course of 15 years). I'll just keep funneling my purchases through my Delta Skymiles AmEx.

In fact, when the lady asked if there was anything else she could do for me today, I politely said, "No, that's okay... I'll just use my American Express instead... thanks!"

Must be nice as those of us in Canada that are DVC and were DC card holders now have no discounts at all other than our DVC discount on very few things. Oh well they are still allowing us to use our DVC card at the Disney Stores for a 10% discount here. We are not even eligible for the Disney Visa in Canada it is for US customers only
