ATG Gun Refills?

My friend from Canada, eh, sent me her ATG Gun and I LOVE IT! I am allowing myself to buy adhesive (and maybe some embossing folders) while on my spending freeze. I know there was discussion sometime ago about where and where not to get them. I can't find it though...Any suggestions?

I forget where I got mine - but it was mentioned on this board. My new tape refills were made in switzerland, cost about 1/3 of the 3 m ones. When I saw what I received, I was concerned because they were not the brand name, but no need - I LOVE them.

TB, Z2H, and I split an order a while back from www.thetapedepot.com. Some folks on this board, including NEE, had really delayed shipping problems a while back from them. But, I've placed multiple orders and always been VERY satisfied.

Their 1/4 ATG "reverse wound" tape is $1.16 a roll when bought by the case (144 rolls). And there is free shipping over $50. That is a great price and we've been very happy with the tape and it's performance. I'm not sure how this compares to the Framing Supplies price...

is that the tape i used at Rhonda's house. I know I used her gun but was it that tape? (the reverse wound?) That's the 1st time I used on of those guns and loved it!

Yep. She was the one who talked me into one of the ATGs - I had sworn that I'd NEVER buy one - "the little Tombos from ACM with my coupons were just fine" for me! Wow! The ATGs are *SO* much cheaper - albeit with a steeper price to buy the gun and get going...but the day-to-day price - I'm saving a fortune with the way Z2H and I run through tape!

I use the 1/2 and, if it's too wide for my application, I just roll off the excess with my finger, like rubber cement. I've seen people have trouble with the 1/4 inch tape getting gummed up in the dispenser.

Yep. This is the reason I asked my Mom for one. She even got me a case of tape. I also got 12 rolls for $20 off the Cricut board. Someone did a swap like thing and everyone signed up for spots and she placed a HUGE order and with the shipping I paid her the $20. So I will have a case plus 18. Yes I said 18, because I have been using the tape without the gun.

It looks like it will, but I'll wait to hear from PBF. They have a couple guns there, is there a specific one you want?

I got the 714 and it fits only the 1/4th. I believe if you get the 700 it will fit the 1/2, but you can buy an adapter and use it with the 1/2. I went with the 1/4 because if i need it wider I can just run it again next to the strip.
