Ashley & Mike's SOG Wedding -06/25/09 - We're moving! And Randy pics are up!

So everything at home the past couple days has been really crazy for some reason. Well anyways I wanted to finish telling y'all about my great weekend before this weekend comes !

So Saturday night I had my first dress fitting! I was really excited mainly because I knew the dress would fit so I didn't have that to stress about! So I found my seamstress online and I wasn't 100% sure but she totally proved herself. I mean this lady really knows her stuff and she is very reasonably priced.

So my mom was going to come with me but at the last minute she couldn't so I got DF's mom to come with me. It was a little akward at first but she is really the sweetest lady. I would say it only really got weird when I needed help getting into my dress. Getting undressed was just a bit akward. But then she said it's ok we are both girls. I hadn't heard that in so long and I just started to laugh and it was fine. So I put on my dress (YaY! It still fits!) and we got it all together and DF's mom just said, "Awwwww Ashley you look soo pretty. Just like a princess" And that was exactly the reaction I was going for. She also loved my veil as well. And it was just really sweet. It was like our first bonding moment. So here are a couple pics:

So trying on the dress was great! And then of course there has to be one thing that goes wrong. Well at least that is how it's been with me for the past week so here it goes. Remember I said really like this lady because she really knows her stuff. Well here is where that comes in. So I start taking off my dress and I hear something rip. First I freak and I think oh no I busted the seam on the dress. I check out my dress and see nothing. Couldn't figure out what it was so I just assumed I was imagining it. So the seamstress, her name is Diana, comes in and offers to steam my veil for my hair trial. As she picks up my veil she says oh no honey what happened here. MY VEIL WAS RIPPED! And when I mean ripped I mean like a good amount of it ripped from the seam of the hair comb. At this moment I begin to FREAK OUT! I just ripped my $200 veil! So she says oh honey it's ok. really it's ok. Let me just get my clear string and my needle and we'll fix it. So right there on the spot she sewed my veil back to the seam on the comb. She was soo calm and sweet and I realized that she must be an ! And on top of that she didn't even charge me to fix it! I knew I loved this lady!

Not too much happened on Sunday. I think that Me and DF found our first apartment. It's been kind of hard because I am not to fond of the area surrounding base but we found these great apartments. They are a little pricey but they I think they are beautiful! So that's all for now!

Also I wanted to mention I don't know what is going on with the Sox thus far but we've got some work to do! GO SOX!!!!

Sam you are soo right DF is totally DH but it just doesn't feel official until we do it the Disney way! It wassooo fun talking to you! I called Mikey after we hung up and he said we HAVE to get back to Boston. He is really excited about Fenway too! BTW Big Papi hit a home-run last night and I was at a bar watching it and I choked on my drink and started cheering it was AWSOME!!! GO SOX!!!

Thanks Boston was great! I love the colors of the flowers and i love that I was able to get the mickey crystals from WDW floral. I haven't gotten them in the mail yet because they had to do some little changes but I will post the pics as soon as I get them.

So i wanted to give yall some more details on all of the crazy stuff that has been hapenning in my life! I feel like I have missed out on so much and I totally need to catch up on all of your PJ's too! I can't wait to do that.

So Boston was AMAZING as it always is. My BFF graduated Cum Laude which was a great surprise and it was great weather and food and just lots of greatness. Only thing is that my sox weren't in town but I will be back!

Our apartment is absolutley fabulous! It is a little pricey but I love all of the amenities and everyone is soo nice! Plus we are finally getting all of my stuff down here slowly but surely so it is starting to feel a little bit more like home! Right now DF (well technically DH) is living here all the time and I come down a couple nights a week. I would like to move all of my stuff in right before our Disney wedding and then start "living" there after the wedding. Here is a pic of our door and DF trying to be goofy like me and our first meal(Chinese takeout)

Got my ring back and it fits perfect plus I asked them if they would give me one of their ring boxes because it says Princess Jewelery! I love that! I told DF/DH that I have a Ring case made for a princess.

On to our legal marriage...

So me and DF got legally married on April 22nd in VA. We had been talking about it for a couple of weeks and decided that it was just the right thing to do. I am referring to it as a trial run. We needed to get all of our benefits and housing set up and with the miltary that takes a little while to do. So although I wanted to have everything be official at WDW that was a battle that I just knew I wasn't going to win. Now that we have done it I am so glad that we did. It is one less thing that we have to worry about on our Wedding Day and all of the paperwork has been done for the military side of things and we have our apartment and everything is great!

So anyways we were going to go the courthouse to do it but when we got there they said that they have a list of people who can do it but they don't do it there. So we called the first person on the list and she had her own chapel type thing set up in her living room. At first I was little worried and thought that it was strange but it was actually kinda nice. We have it on video and it was cool because I originally wanted a woman to marry us and do traditional vows so I got all of that with our "trial run." Ok so here are a couple pics from that day.

I'M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!!!

Well I'm not actually going for vacation but I will be working at Fort Wilderness. I am super super super excited to be going back even though if it is just to work. Also because I wasn't planning on going down there I think I might do like a hair and makeup trial and taste cake. Mmmmmm..... Cake.. So I will be down there from May 24th until the 31st working away! So if anyone will be down there let me know and we can get together. DF/DH isn't coming down because he is on duty but I know I will still have a good time! I will be posting more later and now that school and craziness is finally coming to an end i will be able to be back on here like 5 times a day like I should be! Take care everybody and I am sorry for the babbling I just wanted to keep you all informed!

Working at WDW was soo fun! I love being a part of the magic and the kids are always too cute! DF kept calling me to tell me not think too much about how cute the kids are cuz its not happening for a while!

Oh and I am defintely coming back to Boston! I just have to figure out when! But It will be before the end of the summer! It has to be!

I think its lovely you got married first - especially for the military benefits! I agree with Sam - when Mike sees you on your Disney wedding day he will fall to the floor (not with the heat)- no, because your will be in disney and when he sees his disney bride he will be like wow! Those photos of you are really lovely- you both look so happy and relaxed (relaxed - hah if i was you 33days- i'd be pulling my hair out!!)

Wanted to give a quick review of my week at WDW although it was very unexpected I got quite a few things done.

Well we will start off with the Bad....

- I lost my camera, and my credit cards, and my ID.

- I dropped my phone and cracked the screen.

- I didn't get to watch FANTASMIC.

- It rained.... a lot!

And now on to the Good....

- I had my first DISbride meet!
(Thanks Tanya and Becky! It was soo much fun!)

- I made lots of magic!

- I finally got to see SOG and it is absolutely beautiful!

- I tasted wedding cake! (Very Yummy!)

- I tasted lots of champagne! (Not for wedding purposes but still fun!)

- I got to see Wishes 3 times!

So overall the good outweighed the bad! Although the bad isn't really that bad when it happens at WDW! (Or at least that is what I like to think) I'll post more details and pics later cuz I gotta go!

I never got my wallet back but I am soo happy that I was in WDW when it happened! If I was at any other place I would have been absolutely miserable! I tasted...

RUM, marble , vanilla, grand marnier, chocolate, german chocolate, white, and coconut! And I tasted champagne, raspberry, orange, chocolate and coconut filling! It was really great but I don't want to eat any cake until the day of the wedding!

Here are a couple pics that I wanted to post from my work week @ WDW! I lost my camera while I was down there so I only have a couple that I took from my cell phone! Thank god for cell phones!

Here is me in my costume:

I was working at Fort Wilderness all week and it was a lot of fun! At first I wasn't too thrilled about working luggage but it wasn't so bad! I got to make a lot of magic and I got to learn how to use the cargo van! Good Times!

While I was their I got to stop by SOG for the first time which was AMAZING! I LOVED it! Also I realized that the gazebo has a fan inside of it and I got super excited because it is going to be HOTT! But then a friend of mine pointed out that we probably won't be using it because it would cause everything to blow around. So I have decided to embrace the heat and drink lots of water. And think cool thoughts...
Well anyways I didn't have too much time there because I had a really hectic work schedule but I did manage to take a couple pics.

I was looking for my brick but I found Kelly's (Tink_Kel's) and I got all excited! So here is a pic of that too!
