Hi all! I am off to Chicago today and will be gone til Sunday evening. Going to visit my August WDW travel buds DN & her DH. I am pretty sure I will come home a RC-ed woman.

Have a blast!

And the latest news:DD called me, filling me in on more of her schedule. She mentioned she'd like to spend a couple of hours at AKL. I talked to her a bit, and then just asked her if she'd like to stay there. It was a resounding YES!
So, I had to call CRO...make a change....my file keeps growing.
I would have loved to stay at WL, but this trip is about doing some extra special things for her. My WL return will have to wait.
Time for me to hop off the computer, get back to my to do list!

AKL sounds great!

I took the Plunge and booked this am BWI Water View Nov 28 to Dec 3 !

Also booked our flights at $110 each way for early morning arrival on the 28th and late departure on 12/3. *I am so excited!!!

DH said to me he knows I am not happy if I don't have something to look forward to when I told him I was scrapping the idea of a trip in December, then he said book it

And I did.

Woohoo! I kinda agree with Jungle Cruiser about GF in December. Although it is gorgeous, the place always looked so mobbed when we visited. Whatever you choose, Christmastime in the World is fabulous!

I've been scouring the airfares for Memorial Day weekend .. just a dream ... to see if I can score low airfares ... Sam's BFF will be staying with us while her family is in Illinois. Odds are we will do something fun local.

Crossing fingers for a HUGE airfare sale, but hanging out local is good too, if not!

So I got a call from Admin. that I have to come. I am getting a major award (I picture the lamp from A Christmas Story) I am taking DS11 as a date, if nothing else we can go out to dinner... I am a loser to agree to go
DH said he is proud of me with or without an award. Although he wants me home, he loves that I am taking DS

I got my party tickets via fed ex about half an hour ago! That was FAST!!!!! I hope I don't forget them, lol....I'm tucking them in my Passpoerter Pocket under Sept 30 Envelope!

My pioneering spirit just had me looking at videos of VWL and FWC - I'm a hopeless pioneer with CL tastes!

We did our first family trip to the cabins in 2009. Never again. Stick with the wilderness that comes with luxury! WL CL FTW!

Ok, so yesterday...I told you guys that I was having my bratty moment and that I was less than cordial with my DH...again, basically feeling like I had the weight of the world on my shoulders, and trying to balance that with DH needing to be there for his job, etc...anyways...that carried into today, with DH and I emailing back and forth while at work, voicing our concerns/feelings. It was very therapeutic, and long story short, we got it all worked out...we always do but...DH said that I do do alot around the house, and with the kids, and have a lot on my plate...but that this is partly my fault as I am an extreme CONTROL FREAK and that he offers to do stuff but I won't let him "because I think I can do it better". Well, this is true. and, he said I need to start letting him do more when he asks...and then Disney came up (as an example he was using) ~ all of the changes I have made with our reservation. He pointed out all of the reasons that I have loved the Poly and wanted to stay at the Poly, and how long I have talked about it, and then given the change, I shut it down. He said, "maybe it will be run down, maybe we'll get a crap room, but probably not, and we'll be together, so who cares???" Did I mention that I love this guy? he then stated that HE wanted to stay at the Poly and was when I changed but figured it was futile to say anything because I just don't listen. So, for DH, and ME, I changed to the Poly...and come to find out...the girls had been telling him that they wanted to stay at the Poly because "they wanted to swim in the volcano pool", but that DH told him that because it is my birthday during the trip, I will control where we stay and to not question me. I guess I am a control freak...and you know what? I let DH call and make the change...and it felt good. And he was happy...

That is all.

The Poly is so magical, I don't think you will regret this change!

Work finished out on a good note. I was pretty busy tonight so he didn't have much of a chance to bother me....and my hours are back to how they were in October with me leaving at 9:01. I don't get it. I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone.

I booked airfare for our August trip yesterday. So far it's one night at AKL CL and the rest of the week at Poly CL. We'll see how long that lasts! I really wanted to try WL CL but the discount is crappy! Maybe if I can get an AP or BB discount I'll add on a night or two over there. Really want to try it!

Wow you have put into words how I feel about our situation...thank you It is true that our girls one day will be young women, and although we have never bad mouthed MIL to them (something I am very proud of), they somehow at this young age know what is going on. The other night DD7 told me she used to be 'scared of her' but now she is not anymore. That is because MIL used to be very harsh with them all, especially middle DD.

I know DH will still want to be there for her if she is sick, but I know he will just end up getting hurt again. What to do...I can only support him. I will not allow my DD's to be treated poorly again by her though, no matter what.

Thank you for venting...and allowing me too also! I promise no more MIL talk...

Marie we have talked about seeing Disney decked out for Christmas forever but when we worked neither of us could take vacation time during the Holidays. I can not tell you how excited I am.

My date was not only the most handsome, but the youngest escort DS11 was SO well behaved it was LONG. But I am happy I went. I went up with the other nominees and I didn't win...which is ok but I was like, why did they make me come? 2 people keptsaing stay til the end. The only award after mine was the Team award (on the pamphlet I had) so I was a litte perplexed. But it was fine. DS was enjoying his soda and snacks...and I had champagne...all good. Then the Directors of Nursing took stage to announce a very special award. The Daisy Award for extraordinary nurses...and the winner is......uh yeah, didn't realize my name was callled....then they read all this nice stuff about me...picture me crying and red-faced. DS was in the second row two thumbs up in the air...PURE MAGIC This is one of the proudest moments in my career! I was told I was the epitome of a Daisy nurse, and after reading the book about what it represents, I am proud to be a Daisy nurse ....mind you after today (working 3 nurses short) my happiness may be short lived....

Ok, Ladies...opinions!! So the opportunity has come up to possibly go on Fantasy next May...forgo WDW for the spring, but hopefully get back in Nov or early December 2012. I know this long term planning is a bit absurd BUT I am happiest when planning something!! I haven't heard too much from you all about cruising...how is it? DH is nervous about sea sickness, rough seas, being bored, norwalk you name it!!

WOuld you miss a disney trip for a cruise? Oh and DH STILL doesn't want to downgrade to be able to do this May trip. No way no how he says. Sorry I know this doesn't really fit with RC ing but just thought I would throw it out here anyway!

It's not WDW BUT if it keeps DH feeling like we aren't doing the same ole same ole (didn't we do US last August...OK shut up jeanette) I am happy just to go away...and trutfully we swim more than park commando..if I feel like going to the castle...I'll go. All good!!!

We are taking ou fist Disney cruise next October. I haven't decided what we're going to do about waiting that long after our August trip. I do know we are definitely going to add a few nights to do F&W and see the new FL but I'm not sure I can wait 14 months to go back.

Well, no changes today, but I did book a room at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods Casino for one night for our 10 year anniversary next month.

DH said that Cali Grill will be great for an anniversary dinner but wanted to do something by ourselves and closer to our actual anniversary (which is 6/15). I booked a room and made dinner ressies, we have friends taking the girls overnight!!! I can't wait!!!

I can't wait!!! Funny thing is...how many times have you guys heard me complain about paying for a deluxe hotel at WDW, but I didn't hesitate to book this room that costs $383 for the night (including tax & resort fee)
But, when it's just one night, it seems not quite as bad.

Anyway, it's a deluxe King Bed room...super excited...

Candace that sounds great! I haven't had a day without one of the kids since hmmmm. I think the last time I went out was December 2011. I'd love to go out but my anxiety makes me feel too guilty to leave them. Today is one of the days I'd like to go FARRRRRRR away lol. Lily is a beast today!

Guys I think my ticker it stuck! It's only 3 months and 2 days away. I'd hate to make a new one to fix it because I like seeing how far it's moved already.

I just realized I was worried for nothing....I thought it was HRH trip you where changing to non-disney, and I got worried I might not see you on the monorail loop! I see now, it's your UPCOMIMG trip that's changed to non-disney (doesn't your ticker say it's a birthday celebration trip too???) I think that's what confused me! I think HRH is a wonderful idea! actually, I couldn't come to Orlando without going back there.....I Love Universal!!! and I love the hotel...they treat you so nice, like a true rock star!

I'm distraught right now. The only copy I had of our itinerary is GONE. Someone took it out of my binder and I can't find it anywhere. I could cry right now.
