I've been scouring the airfares for Memorial Day weekend .. just a dream ... to see if I can score low airfares ... Sam's BFF will be staying with us while her family is in Illinois. Odds are we will do something fun local.

My pioneering spirit just had me looking at videos of VWL and FWC - I'm a hopeless pioneer with CL tastes!WDWKOOK: Stay true to your pioneeringways if FWC signs to you. But you sure can't beat a CR CL either...

I wish I had a good suggestion for your anniversary, but nothing comes to mind. 13 days CL at WL certainly sounds lovely, though.
So, I had to call CRO...make a change....my file keeps growing.
I would have loved to stay at WL, but this trip is about doing some extra special things for her. My WL return will have to wait.
Time for me to hop off the computer, get back to my to do list!

, and the VWL reviews overall are much more favorable than BLT. I know this shouldn't be so difficult a decision since we're also staying at WL/CL, but we've never stayed in a DVC and I guess I've got cold villa feet

Now then, I think California Grill for your Anniversary is a great option. You know I didn't love the service a few weeks ago, but the food was delicious! I had my birthday dinner there last Oct and felt like a queen. I can speak to BLT. We have stayed in a one bedroom at BLT a couple of times when our young adult daughters have joined us. PROS: You can't beat 2 full bathrooms (when one of our young adult daughters join us), privacy (discussed before), location (being able to walk to the MK) and we really liked the lagoon view( we requested high floors both times). We loved sitting on the balcony at night, watching the boats go buy, looking at the WL, and watching the EWP. CONS:, theming is weak, really missing that WDW feeling, monorail is very crowded at that stop since it is for both CR and BLT,
over to the marina then swim over to DI and have my pick of accommodations. There must be a rusty ol' bench there somewhere, but I might have to fight off all those birds..., and thank you so much for posting your thoughts and experience with BLT. But I was just looking at VWL videos again - I'm hopeless. I won't repeat what I posted above to Jeanette, but have you also stayed at VWL? DD would love BLT because of the extra bathroom and the walkway and decor, but I keep worrying about those negative room condition/furniture reviews and I know this is silly, but DH and I LOVE Sturdy Branches at VWL and jogging around FW and visiting the ponies early in the morning... Oh, my, I think I may be addicted to WL. I can't even book a 4-night stay somewhere else. I need an intervention - or should I just book VWL? Or BLT? Please don't tell me to book both... (I know what Christine would tell me to do)I took the Plunge and booked this am BWI Water View Nov 28 to Dec 3 !
Oh I also showed him the review of Tutto Italia's re-opening on easywdw which helped since he had wanted to eat there in March but it was closed.

but...DH said that I do do alot around the house, and with the kids, and have a lot on my plate...but that this is partly my fault as I am an extreme CONTROL FREAK and that he offers to do stuff but I won't let him "because I think I can do it better". Well, this is true. and, he said I need to start letting him do more when he asks...and then Disney came up (as an example he was using) ~ all of the changes I have made with our reservation. He pointed out all of the reasons that I have loved the Poly and wanted to stay at the Poly, and how long I have talked about it, and then given the change, I shut it down. He said, "maybe it will be run down, maybe we'll get a crap room, but probably not, and we'll be together, so who cares???" Did I mention that I love this guy? he then stated that HE wanted to stay at the Poly and was 
when I changed but figured it was futile to say anything because I just don't listen. So, for DH, and ME, I changed to the Poly...and come to find out...the girls had been telling him that they wanted to stay at the Poly because "they wanted to swim in the volcano pool", but that DH told him that because it is my birthday during the trip, I will control where we stay and to not question me. I guess I am a control freak...and you know what? I let DH call and make the change...and it felt good. And he was happy...

I'm really good at playing things off as negative if I am trying to convince myself of it. Now, everyone is happy, trip is paid off...and now we count down the days till our 10 nights at the Poly!!!I am in SHOCK!!!

Candace I'm very happy or you. Honestly I think you made a good decision based on the discount alone. WL is much more affordable with a lower discount than the Poly is.
Work finished out on a good note. I was pretty busy tonight so he didn't have much of a chance to bother me....and my hours are back to how they were in October with me leaving at 9:01. I don't get it. I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone.

I agree about maximizing my discount...we would actually be willing to pay rack rate for a WL room, but not Poly, so it makes sense to use it on the Poly!
I AM SOOOOO HAPPY for you Candace! I think you are right where you should be for this trip! Happy DH is happy and kiddos are happy! Just happy all around! I KNOW you'll be bringing me back a good review I agree WL next trip sounds wonderful and your 40% off pin was made for the POLY
