to review: thinking CSR 5n (prefered) and BC 3n.

Have never stayed at either... or CSR for all 8 nights.

Making pros and cons list...BC is close to DHS and Epcot but walking to DHS in August heat---- or rain, not so crazy about that... But would save time taking buses to Epcot/DHS....

Or can just stay at WL for all 8nights for a little less than the CSR/.BC split.
It is dd (18) and me... and at WL there are balconies and many quiet areas to get a time out from each other...
I know where those quiet places are at WL....
I am sure BC has some... but CSR has no balconies and have to walk out in open (walkways not covered...) to get to main bldg...

MAKING MYSELF NUTS! and dh isn't thrilled I am taking dd so cannot whine to him and she is still at college...

:hippie:Jill

Benedryl and chocolate covered strawberries:rotfl2: - whatacombo! Boy, the Disney sacrifices you've made. Oh, and 6 is NOT too many. I could have eaten that whole plate you see up there.

I forgot about in-room dining and the villas:scratchin. Now I'm on a Fort Wilderness cabin kick:rotfl:. I have always wanted to stay in one. I love FW, but have never stayed there. We go over there almost daily when we're at WL. The cabin even has a bedroom with a door - like the villa one bedroom;).

I think it's so neat that you get your very own free-standing cabin with a driveway and a BBQ I would never use! It even has two TVs and a Murphy Bed. I'll bet the walk from our cabin to Pioneer Hall or the Bike Barn, etc... would end-up longer than walking from WL:upsidedow. When I told DH about staying at the cabin for our anniversary right before WL/CL he thought I was crazy wanting to give-up CL over a cabin or to stay in a villa. Now that I write that out, maybe I am a tad loopy:confused:

Please be honest about Poly/CL (and don't change it). I know you can't really do that on the Poly thread, but you can here (or the WL thread:goodvibes)

:rotfl2: I was in stitches reading that!

I think AoA is really cute. But HRH wants to just sit by the piano at GF...walk the grounds & hold my hand...even 1 night for her...I will find a way. That is my thought....I want quiet time....I have over 4 months think of all the changes I will make :faint: I know you understand HRH, and what kind of trip she wants...and needs

You and HRH will get your weekend the GF. You two both need and deserve it. She is a special girl and you are a special Mommy. When you get there in a few weeks check the great BB offer.

Grumpy Grandma, how fun you spent the day at DL with your daughter. :cloud9:

Jennyjinx3, how long are you going to be at WDW in September? We are arriving for 10 days on 9/17. We will be at the BC. It would be fun to cross paths!

MouseMommy1,:cake: Happy 8th Birthday to your daughter!

Minnie&Nanna, celebrating your 65th birthday at AoA sounds right to me, after all you are young at heart!!!

DisneyDreamin247, the strawberries sound like a wonderful surprise. I know it seems like forever until your trip, but it will be here before you know it!!

LuvLuvLuv, benedryl and chocolate covered strawberries! You are a girl after my own heart! You must be sooo excited. Have a wonderful trip :goodvibes

WDWKOOK, I think your anniversary night at FW makes a lot of sense. You can prime the water with the pump, heat the water over the fire that you start with two sticks, to rinse off and sleep on a murphy bed. :confused3 That sounds so much nicer than CL at the WL (at this point you should be detecting a note of sarcasm in my tone)...DO NOT DO IT!!!

:rotfl: Too funny!

:cool1: YEAH DEENA! Trip so close you can taste it! Yes, please drop us even a little tidbit just to say "POLY CL is AMAZING" or "you might wanna start looking elsewhere!" :rotfl: honestly, I hope it's the first and that you LOVE it there!

DANI: wonderful surprises for your lucky family! I think your trip sounds amazing!

So, y'all think we will be able to snag our MNSSHP tickets tomorrow? :) I sure hope so! Looking forward to SEPT 30.... :dance3: :yay: my first Halloween party :goodvibes

You should have no problem. I didn't buy ours until July last year. Is IPO getting them for you?

My vote is for the 8 nights at WL. :goodvibesP

Good luck getting your tickets!!!! You're going to have such a wonderful action-packed trip!!!

I'm down to 75 DAYS!!!. I'm so excited!!!! We are starting to get everything we need for the trip...the girls are all set for clothes, I have a bathing suit, DD5 just got a new pair of sneakers....we still all need new sandals (thinking Keens), and DD8 will need new sneakers too. DH and I will need some more clothes...but we are picking stuff up as we see it...it's so exciting!!! :hyper:

Jill, it always seems like forever when waiting for AP rates to be released! Understand your dilemma....I would be very tempted to with WL for 8 ngts..if it would be a std view. I am so not a fan of those std views! Good luck deciding and keep us posted!:thumbsup2

I'm busy at work doing all the things I've put off while I was planning

Now I have 2 days to get everything done before we leave!! I'm here lurking in the background during breaks
Tomorrow!!! Tomorrow!!! Birthday packing party ;)
I'll check on the members site just for the heck of it.
I hope AKV stays available...so pretty there

It's ok....so excited for the Poly!! Sadly though, no one seems to like my September roll call thread. Oh well...may be that means low crowds at the Poly in September!
No worries....we love you!!! Marie will be there!!

I agree You and HRH deserve this time together, and you always find a way to make good things happen for your trips! I am sure this one will fall into perfect place even with the changes that are sure to come over the next few months, LOL.....I know in the end it will be a "perfectly perfect" Bday celebration weekend!!

:cool1: I need to share, I am pretty excited, I finally hit the $5,100 mark in my savings account! I technically have enough to pay off my resort/dining portion now....I am holding off a little longer, as my due date isn't until August 14...maybe a room code will come out that will work better than free dining for us, but with 4 adults , FD has been the best discount for us thus far..... I'll wait a little longer, then I'll get it off in the mail to WDW Travel Co so I can be PIF!!!
Now onto the second part....I have 4.5 months to save the $2,000 for our spending/ incidentals money!!! I'll be so glad when the saving is done, it's been a hard haul saving $500 a month for almost a year!!! I'll be so glad when it's all done and paid for, I am very excited for my first POLY stay!
Wonderful job!!! I hve 2 nights RPC to pay off now :rotfl: I DID IT !!! I WILL GET MY BABY TO RPC FOR HER BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!! 20% off 2 of the nights...but it's something....so you can text me when your plane gets in and we will be there to greet ya!!!! HRH and I will stroll over from....GF:cool1:

Lol--Jeanette. I think I equally love 1BRs and CL. I'm living it up on CL now because when we buy DVC, we'll have our fill of 1BRs for a while. I think you can order those goodies from Private Dining if I'm not mistaken!

This is what we were graced with at CR!! I'm allergic to strawberries... but they are my #1 love. I get hives and itch like crazy--but a few benedryl later--I'm digging back in for more. I love them so much. I was going to order for us--but DH won't eat them (only the white chocolate mickey), and 6 is a lot for just me... I think??
You remind me of my HS BFF, allergic to chocolate & strawberries :worried: but with the benadryl we ate tem weekly watching our Richard Gere marathons.....:hyper:

Benedryl and chocolate covered strawberries:rotfl2: - whatacombo! Boy, the Disney sacrifices you've made. Oh, and 6 is NOT too many. I could have eaten that whole plate you see up there.

You aren't gonna get a FWC....but this made me :rotfl: DH knows you won't separate him from his cobbler.....;) And I love you too....we will figure something out...that doesn't involve you & DH hiding in the Bathroom while DD sleeps...not that I'd ever heard of that being done :rolleyes1

Work has been amazing!! The entire lobby is decorated, I have cards and presents everywhere, and also donuts and pizza!! Today is fantastic, and I love all the wonderful people I'm surrounded with!!

Lots and Lots and Lots to do at work today---then packing party!! DH is feeling anxious like we're running out of time, but I know it'll all be done! I'm going to get a few things done here, then I'll be back to party a bit!!

:cake:Happy Birthday Deena!!!:cake:

pas, so sorry to hear you have a bad cold . Take care of yourself! I am soooo excited that you were able to book the RPC at a discount. Mother and daughter time together is so special

I think chances are good when we get closer that my DH will let me stay. He knows how much I need WDW for my spirit and always wants to make me happy. I am soo blessed to have him :lovestruc I think there is a very good chance we will have a date for scones.

Here's a picture for HRH, and you! A little preview of what's to come.

Alright fellow resort changers, I need help. It has been a few months since I have had a reservation to change and I'm itching to do it. Heres the issue.

We are staying at WL (woods view) with free dining for 6 nights at the end of Aug. WL is my favorite. My husband wants to stay at the Contemporary (his and my sons favorite- ONLY because of the monorail). If we stay at the C he wants to stay Tower-MK view. We have never stayed at the Cont, but we have stayed at WL before.
Money is sort of the issue and the fact that we would like to try a new resort. We are paying about $2500 for the WL and if we were to change to the Contemp it would jump to $3800ish because of the view he wants. The Contemp really does not appeal to me except for the fact that my family really wants to stay there and it is close to MK and monorail line for enjoyment and transportation. And I also dont want to pay $1300 extra to jump across the lake and not even have Club level!!
I do not want to stay at AKL!!! OKW appeals to me, but I feel like its far away. BC/YC are nice but we have stayed there before. GF- too expensive. Poly- stayed there and the same price as Cont so might as well stay at the Cont. SS- no appeal. Boardwalk?? Should I just suck it up and stay at the Cont- or just keep me happy, family a little bummed and stay (gasp!!):scared1: without changing from WL!! I'm torn. Also waiting to see if rates drop for FLA/Passholders in Aug in that it might be cheaper than free dining to stay at WL/Cont.

So a quick visit to DL yesterday .... on a sunny Sunday afternoon. We didn't go on many rides just sort of wandered around. Had a great lunch at Catal ... I love the way you can sit out on the balcony and people watch all the people at DTD and yet enjoy the peace and quiet. Did a little shopping ... nothing real exciting. Just nice to spend the day at DL with my DD!
Oh that sounds wonderful. :lovestruc

It's ok....so excited for the Poly!! Sadly though, no one seems to like my September roll call thread. Oh well...may be that means low crowds at the Poly in September!
I bet they'll be lined up in formation soon...!!! Yay for Poly for you! :goodvibes

She is going to officially be 8 in 17 minutes! (born at 2:37 pm).
Happy belated Birthday to your DD! And happy 75 day mark to you! :dance3:

I need to share, I am pretty excited, I finally hit the $5,100 mark in my savings account! I technically have enough to pay off my resort/dining portion now....I'll be so glad when it's all done and paid for, I am very excited for my first POLY stay!
Congratulations! That's a very good saving plan you put yourself on... and kept!!!:thumbsup2!

Yay! I'm so happy right now! On our arrival night we originally had Cali Grill at 7:20 but decided to cancel and book 'Ohana. At the time I could only get 8:20, but I took it and figured we could enjoy some apps in the lounge to hold us over. I just checked and was able to get 7:10! That means I should definitely make it back to watch Wishes from the lounge on our first night!
Congrats on a great score! :) What are your dates again? We did that with 'Ohana... cancelled a few weeks back and now added it again this past weekend. :confused3

Now I'm on a Fort Wilderness cabin kick:rotfl:. I have always wanted to stay in one. I love FW, but have never stayed there. We go over there almost daily when we're at WL. When I told DH about staying at the cabin for our anniversary right before WL/CL he thought I was crazy wanting to give-up CL over a cabin or to stay in a villa. Now that I write that out, maybe I am a tad loopy.
I admit I also am looking for just the right trip to stay at a FW cabin. The purpose has to be right for me, but probably will be a MNSSHP weekend one of these next couple years to come. ::yes::

Or can just stay at WL for all 8nights for a little less than the CSR/.BC split. It is dd (18) and me... and at WL there are balconies and many quiet areas to get a time out from each other... I know where those quiet places are at WL.... I am sure BC has some... but CSR has no balconies and have to walk out in open (walkways not covered...) to get to main bldg... MAKING MYSELF NUTS!
Someone is changing to WL...:rolleyes1

Minnie&Nanna, celebrating your 65th birthday at AoA sounds right to me, after all you are young at heart!!!
Minnie&Nanna JC has a point here... :rolleyes1 I am excited for your Villa hunt! It is half the fun. ;)

:rotfl: :rotfl:

My thoughts exactly!! :rotfl:Why stay WL CL when you could have all of the above! :confused3
Because she CAN!!! :lmao:

I DID IT !!! I WILL GET MY BABY TO RPC FOR HER BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!
So happy for you and HRH!!! :cool1: Hope you feel better. :wizard:

Work has been amazing!! The entire lobby is decorated, I have cards and presents everywhere, and also donuts and pizza!! Today is fantastic, and I love all the wonderful people I'm surrounded with!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUVLUVLUV ..And happy “Almost There Day”!!! :cool1:

I think chances are good when we get closer that my DH will let me stay GF. He knows how much I need WDW for my spirit and always wants to make me happy. I am soo blessed to have him :lovestruc
That made me tear up. What a nice DH.

Hmmm, tough one since you prefer what you already have... so it makes it that much easier to poo-poo other options. ;) Both WL and CR are great resorts. If money really IS an issue then I definitely wouldn't do CR MKV this trip. If you do decide to make the switch, a nice CR GW room would be nice and you'll be near the pool. Plus there are viewing spots for Wishes at CR without spending the extra. I think FLA/Passholders rates come out soon, near Memorial Day. Keep us posted. popcorn::

Deena happy birthday!!! Sounds like a great party.

pas get well sis. So happy you got a great discount on RPC!
