So a quick visit to DL yesterday .... it really seemed crowded. I thought we would have missed all the spring break folks and it shouldn't be time for the summer crazy time yet!!! Of course DL is much more of a local park than WDW is so I guess that was to be expected on a sunny Sunday afternoon. We didn't go on many rides just sort of wandered around. Had a great lunch at Catal ... I love the way you can sit out on the balcony and people watch all the people at DTD and yet enjoy the peace and quiet. Did a little shopping ... nothing real exciting. Just nice to spend the day at DL with my DD!

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.

Showed our oldest DD video of the AOA rooms, and she said IF she ever went she likes the Lion King suites. I asked DH after...so what do you think? Nope, still no switching from Poly, next May he said. (yipee for next May!!)

It's ok....so excited for the Poly!! Sadly though, no one seems to like my September roll call thread. Oh well...may be that means low crowds at the Poly in September!

I agree. I think the money is well spent. I know I will feel comfortable and look decent out by the pool this year, so to the Miracle Suit.

Oh, and I changed my siggie...DD is going to be 8 tomorrow!!!!! I cannot believe it. She had her party last night and it was a big success...*sigh* my baby girl.

I agree You and HRH deserve this time together, and you always find a way to make good things happen for your trips! I am sure this one will fall into perfect place even with the changes that are sure to come over the next few months, LOL.....I know in the end it will be a "perfectly perfect" Bday celebration weekend!!

I need to share, I am pretty excited, I finally hit the $5,100 mark in my savings account! I technically have enough to pay off my resort/dining portion now....I am holding off a little longer, as my due date isn't until August 14...maybe a room code will come out that will work better than free dining for us, but with 4 adults , FD has been the best discount for us thus far..... I'll wait a little longer, then I'll get it off in the mail to WDW Travel Co so I can be PIF!!!
Now onto the second part....I have 4.5 months to save the $2,000 for our spending/ incidentals money!!! I'll be so glad when the saving is done, it's been a hard haul saving $500 a month for almost a year!!! I'll be so glad when it's all done and paid for, I am very excited for my first POLY stay!

I hear you about the saving!! But there is something so gratifying knowing you saved and paid off your vacation ahead of time! Besides, for us I know that $$$ would be spent on something else if we weren't saving it for vacations...and that "something" else wouldn't be near as important!

Can we do a excited for the poly dance together?

That sounds so yummy!! That is one of the special things I miss about staying at any deluxe, not even CL - I so enjoy doing those special little things!

Oh no! If I rent points, can I still order special treats etc? Know we can order in room dining - have done that a few times, but never ordered anything special. Was thinking Zebra Domes if we wind up at AKV.

Yay! I'm so happy right now! On our arrival night we originally had Cali Grill at 7:20 but decided to cancel and book 'Ohana. At the time I could only get 8:20, but I took it and figured we could enjoy some apps in the lounge to hold us over. I just checked and was able to get 7:10! That means I should definitely make it back to watch Wishes from the lounge on our first night!

It was $24 for a half dozen and $48 for a full dozen. I didn't get a choice of milk or dark (but I'll take either!).

No one said anything about a choice of chocolate, but the ones I got at CR were dark chocolate with white chocolate drizzle. I'm sure you can request otherwise. I think you can also request tuxedo--but they are more.

Now that I'm thinking about ordering treats and surprises, I realize that if I were to stay for the anniversary portion of our 13-day trip in a one bedroom villa at VWL or BLT, then I wouldn't be able to order all those goodies and have the IPO services and the lounge and turn-down... What was I thinking wanting to stay in a villa. Oh, I remember! Jeanette reminded a poster on the WL thread that a one bedroom villa would be the closest DH and I would come to having a private anniversary evening. Don't you all just LOVE Jeanette?! She cracks me up

Sorry, because I don't own at AKV I can't see out past Dec 6th = 7 months plus 7 days. Judging by the week before Jambo is available 5 of the 7 nights but Kidani is available all 7 nights. I've never rented points but would it be possible to waitlist any of the nights that aren't available? I think waitlist for AKV would come thru. I personally like Jambo better than Kidani but I will say that I did enjoy my time at Kidani last January. As long as I have my DD computer tomorrow I'll check AKV for you again.

I will be doing a TR!! I think I'm going to Poly-CL so I can know the truth for myself I have high expectations, lol. I probably won't post much on the trip--no laptop this time with all the moves. However I do have my Dis App on my phone--so I may check in since I'll be missing everyone!

Benedryl and chocolate covered strawberries - whatacombo! Boy, the Disney sacrifices you've made. Oh, and 6 is NOT too many. I could have eaten that whole plate you see up there.

I forgot about in-room dining and the villas. Now I'm on a Fort Wilderness cabin kick. I have always wanted to stay in one. I love FW, but have never stayed there. We go over there almost daily when we're at WL. The cabin even has a bedroom with a door - like the villa one bedroom.

I think it's so neat that you get your very own free-standing cabin with a driveway and a BBQ I would never use! It even has two TVs and a Murphy Bed. I'll bet the walk from our cabin to Pioneer Hall or the Bike Barn, etc... would end-up longer than walking from WL. When I told DH about staying at the cabin for our anniversary right before WL/CL he thought I was crazy wanting to give-up CL over a cabin or to stay in a villa. Now that I write that out, maybe I am a tad loopy

Please be honest about Poly/CL (and don't change it). I know you can't really do that on the Poly thread, but you can here (or the WL thread)
